This place is a hidden gem!!! Staff is amazing, so nice and personable. We had the pulled pork nachos and the brisket which was absolutely amazing. Small town mom and pop restaurant. Catfish was freshly cooked, not sure about the rest. Although we did not get dessert, could hear that they were out of several items. Would return for catfish. The service was very basic, two servers but the one assigned to our table ducked the assignment so the other server was taking care of all customers and was not happy. read more

my freind notified me about a experience she had regarding her religion. her and her family entered the restraunt just to get greeted by the owner sho rudely shouted in there faces to read the sign and then pointed at the sign, which said, "no Jews allowed" in all caps. so her and her family just ignored her and sat down anyway, just for her to glance up again to see them, to stomp over, slam her hand On the table, and do the Nazi salute and shout "hail hitler". so they naturally immediately which I don't blame? the service is TERRIBLE. which is such a shame cuz they were food reviewers to from a well endowed social media. oh well, guess she didn't get the sponsorship she wanted. they looked upset to leave aswell, me and my freinds went to discuss this after, they said it looked so nice and pretty aswell. oh well. This place opened on April 1. We stopped in over Easter weekend around 6pm on a Monday. The owner was there to greet us. He's a friendly guy -used to own Village Kitchen when that was in business. The food was great, and I thought the portions for the price were good. Husband got the brisket. He said it was fine but not great. The fish, on the other hand, was killer. So good! Highly recommend. I had the fish platter with tater tots and Mac and cheese (healthy choices I know). It was so good. The platter comes with 6 pieces of fish, which was more than I could eat. It was a good sized meal. Husband finished the rest. Mac was really tasty. The dessert menu is really large. They had two types of fried pies, cheesecake, butterfinger cake, banana pudding, lava cake and a brownie sundae. I had the lava cake. It was a big portion and really yummy. The brownie sundae was good too but smaller. Butterfinger cake was also good. Overall, I highly recommend this place. I feel the best way to get the best food places is to ask a local. We were told of this place and wow were we impressed. Service was very quick and sooooo polite!!!! Catfish was amazing. Soooooooo.... Nana took over for Southern Rock Bouncing BBQ. An admittedly silly name but wonderful Southern Barbecue joint nonetheless. To their shame, not really well supported by the community. I wish I could report of a seamless transition for the old girl but this is just not the case. Nana's food isn't bad but it isn't very good either. BBQ, Burgers, Seafood aaaaannnnnd pizza? Maybe focus on one type of food and do that to the best of your ability. It would probably lessen your workload and overhead. I love Nanas of all types, including this one; she's just maybe not feeling herself right now. I hope she does in the future! read more

The food was horrible and extremely dry. You eat out of a box with plastic ware. The service was slow.

Usually I try to post photos but I don't have any because the food was that good. I got the pulled pork lunch plate with collard green and green beans and it was delicious. I also got some brisket and it was incredibly moist. Soo glad we dropped in. I just wish I was local so I could stop more. read more
