Specialty pizzas are delicious. Typical pizzas are standard at best. Bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Portuguese

We came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with family. There were five of us. We had…read morereservations. We started with the salad bar which includes lots of hot and cold selections. They bring mashed potatoes, fried plantains and cheesy bread to the table for everyone. All of the meat I tried was great along with everything I had from the salad bar. My fiancé can't stop talking about the wings and how incredible they were! The service was wonderful!

Summary: Changed owners since we came here last. A decent adaptation of a Brazilian Steakhouse to…read morethe American palate. Missing: 1) Seasoning. Traditional Brazilian barbecue uses coarse salt on the meat that is cooked over an open flame or direct heat source. None of the meat was seasoned this way. 2) Farofa (unforgivable oversight for Brazilians). 3) Lightly breaded, fried bananas - a churrascaria staple. 4) Picanha com alho (garlic) - They served a garlic covered cheaper piece of meat. 5) Creme de Papaya com Cassis. Service was efficient, and they ran a special for people celebrating their birthday. The birthday person gets their main course for free. 20% tip was automatically added. Our server reminded us that was divided between them and other staff and pointed out the space where we could add an additional tip. Ambiance was traditional Brazilian steakhouse, with a small salad bar with hot food selections, as well. Conclusion: If you want an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse / Churrascaria experience, you're better off driving into Philadelphia, to King of Prussia, or Easton where you can still find it. It's worth the drive at this price point.

Wow is all I can say. I normally wouldn't drive all the way to Northeast Philadelphia for a meal…read moreunless it's recommended by a fellow yelper But in this case, an acquaintance of mine, who is from Brazil suggested I go with them. So she and my daughter picked me up and drove me up and I was blown away by the experience. This isn't like that high end Brazilian steakhouse chain that we all love but rather it's a locally owned restaurant. where you go up to a buffet and you select your vegetables, and then you go to the counter and select your meats And then they weigh your plate. So everyone in your party gets their plates weighed and your party is assigned a number on a placard which you take back to your table. Once you want more food, you repeat the process and hand them your number. What your entire party has eaten is electronically recorded and when you ask for your check it's totaled up. My friend has eaten there many times and has never seen a discrepancy in the check nor did I. It's a great system. The food is exceptional. I loved trying some new Brazilian side items that I have never had. And on this visit, I was lucky to try a soda made from a fruit from the Brazilian rainforest. This was a new food adventure for me and one that I'm going to try again and again.

The picanha, ribeye, flank steak, and sausages were not to be missed. The salad bar also had some excellent options that made us feel a little better about gorging on fatty meats, too. Personally, when it comes to all you can eat grillin', I appreciated the wide selection of pickles and sour bites to contrast. And the cheese popovers and garlic bread? Don't be that person who "optimizes for maximum meat consumption," do something joyful with your life and get the extra buttery garlic bread, bro. We filled our plates twice, each of us. My dad had been having trouble eating, but he had some great food at Charkoal's. And again, the staff was super attentive, great with suggestions, and made sure our favorites kept coming out as we asked for them. They had a real family feel, and it made our family feel welcome at every interaction. I'll be back for sure.

So being party of 16 people isn't easy. We all worked in the restaurant business and the larger the party, the harder the table. However, this server knew exactly how to manage it. Everything was handled professionally and the salad bar was unbelievable. The selection of food was fantastic. It was very clean as well. This place really WOW'd us. We had a fantastic meal and everything superseded our expectations. Especially this guy in the picture.
