Course is in good shape, the greens are sneaky fast and bunkers are still meh. They are starting to fill them with legit sand though so that's starting look up. I can't say enough how good their weekend morning staff is. Today's starter did an excellent job keeping tee times on schedule, and we finished in about an hour and 40 minutes. I didn't have a tee time but asked to be placed on the wait list. They found a spot for me in about ten minutes, and even refunded the bucket of balls I just purchased.The course is in excellent shape, even with the punched greens, and we continue to see improvements to tee boxes and other areas throughout the course. I've been playing here for a year. These are Pros & Cons I have made mental note of: Pros -the membership of $99 pays itself off if you golf here or at Birch at least two-three times a month. -BC (Brea Creek) has better maintenance then BH (Birch Hills) -if you do not want to be stuck with a "weekend golfer" or new golfer or next to a loud 4 some, book an early tee time. 5:45am - 7:00am -when Nathan (the guy who looks like an older Kevin Love) is working there is more structure. -Great Value $ -relaxed Dress Code Cons -No practice chipping area -range is under the sun and no woods on the range (although I see plenty of people breaking that rule) -If you book a later tee time you'll most likely get stuck with a not so favorable group. -When Nathan is not working and some of the younger employee(s) [One who looks like a young Bill Burr and the other like a middle school Kyle Kuzma] are in charge of closing, there is less structure. (People cutting from Hole 6 to replay Hole 3. Slow pace of play, etc) Overall it's a great 9 hole. I prefer it better then BH (same owner) Back 9. For the more experienced player, it's a great place to practice your approach game/short game. For the beginner, it's a good place to learn since you get a taste of everything. read more

Setup a round today with my son, who is just starting out. It rained early in the day, so the manager, Nathan, accommodated us to move our tee time to the afternoon. He's a very busy man, always running around, but provides great customer service. Luckily no rain. It was walking only so it was nice to be out and enjoying some quality time. Course is in great shape. There have been some heavy rains, so there are some pockets of the fairway and around elevated greens that are a bit mushy. But overall fairways, tee boxes, and greens are in phenomenal shape. read more

The course is in excellent condition but what really stands out here is the customer service. Brandon is my go to guy for anything I need here at Break Creek. I've been coming to Brea Creek for 20 years or so. Play a few times a month because I live in the neighborhood nearby. The place has never been as well maintained or as well run as it is right now. The greens are absolutely fantastic, the rates are great and the layout is fun. Great place for kids and beginners to learn the game and a fun challenge for more seasoned golfers. The par 4's are dead straight but have the creek as OB to keep you honest. The par 3's are all unique and all seem to challenge a different club in your bag. Ill reiterate that the greens are all in very very good shape. Fairways as well. Some of the best kept greens in SoCal, even compared to $100+ courses. The pride of ownership is obvious and it's great to see. Brea Creek is a hidden gem in OC! read more

Great Beginner course that will test you for accuracy. The course is well maintained, the greens are in great condition, overall a good short course. It is a very busy course so expect to wait in between tee-off, should be able to play the entire course in 2.5-3.0 hours. Each of the 9 holes presents a fun challenge, hole #8 is a favorite to play. read more

Went golfing here and man this place was trash course was decent but staff is rude af was out of town visiting friends and as soon as we came in they had massive attitudes and acted like we weren't welcome I thought this was a public course I mean it's not nice enough to be private hire new staff you might get more Buisness I won't golf here ever again but I may drive a few balls towards the "clubhouse" if you can even call it that !!! read more

I love this course the fairways are nice and the greens are better! It's a challenging little nine hole course but most of all the staff is awesome. They really try hard to do their job. Nathan, I guess is the manager and he's always been so nice and helpful I can't see how anybody would ever say anything negative about him! He always says hi he's always working hard, and he always does his best to make sure everyone's out on their teetimes. I like to play at this course because Nathan and the staff are really good guys and I enjoy talking to them and playing at this course. Gone there twice with my nephew now, both of us new to golf, had a fantastic time. Staff and other players were friendly and accommodating. Staff even remembered that my second was a kid the second time and gave me a lower price without me asking for it. Golf-wise, the course is exceedingly friendly to new (read: bad) players. Occasionally you have to clear the creek, but otherwise you can hack pretty badly and still get around. The two par-4s even have gigantic empty light rough areas off the right, which I assume is to catch all the sliced driver shots. We did get backed up a little bit midway through the round both times, but nothing completely outrageous and we easily finished our rounds in under two hours on a weekday morning. read more

Whenever my friends and I have the itch to golf we come here. Most of us play once or twice a year, so to say we are no good would be an understatement. This is an easy 9 hole course that, because we are terrible, offers the perfect challenge. Difficult enough, but not to the point where you want to throw your clubs in to the algified creek and never golf again. Prices are very reasonable, they have a number you can text to for daily deals. I prefer using the app tee-off, which offers great deals throughout the day at a very reasonable price. While this place is quite cheap, the quality of the course itself is still maintained well. The course was well manicured and very nice to play off of. Most of the people here are nice, and understand that this is a place beginners will frequent, so pace of play can be slow. I have never had an issue with service here as they have been more than accomodating both times I've played here. All in all this is the perfect place to get a couple of holes in if you're looking for a chill and laid back enviroment. Lifers will like coming here to rebuild their confidence, newbies like me and my crew come here to not lose all confidence. Something for everyone read more

These guys have always gone above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and a great golf experience every time my golf crew comes in .
