I arrived around noon and Noemi helped schedule a same day appointment since the dentists were out for lunch. When I returned later, Debbie went over and showed me the documents before I signed anything, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. I also spoke with a family friend in dentistry, and they reassured me that the procedures they proposed were actually necessary, which helped ease some of my concerns. During my visit again, Dr. Gaffino explained that my pain was due to the tooth needing a bit more shaving since I couldn't feel it while numb from the other day. Once she adjusted it, the pressure and ache went away almost instantly. The whole visit was quick, efficient, and I walked out with no more pain/discomfort. Overall, I appreciated the improved bedside manner, communication, and quick and effective work this time around! This visit felt much more helpful and fair.

The color of the crown was not quite there and even though I couldn't see it in the dental office, he pointed it out. We decided to keep the crown on temporarily so that I could whiten my teeth a bit so that my teeth color would be closer to the crown color. Anyways I am super pleased with how it looks now and he was able to fill out some gaps on the front teeth with some bonding. I am finally able to smile and not see my old discolored crown and gap in the gum line.

First off the office is new and has all the latest equipment. The X rays are easy and for those of you who hate having to take impressions.... Hate no more. They don't use those nasty impression trays that ooze all in your mouth and make you GAG. I don't recall what it called but it's like a pen they put around your teeth and it takes a digital picture of your teeth. Dr. Bae will tell you what procedures you need now and what can wait. There is absolutely no pressure. Dr Bae and his staff are all about making you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Angelica for your teeth cleaning appointments. I also have to mention that if you need a crown...you can have it the same day. How awesome is that? No temporary crown and waiting weeks for it to come in. That's so yesterday! Dr. Bae also has their own dental plan. It is a so worth it. As we all know most Dental insurance is not so great. I also have to mention how great Dr. Bae's office staff is. The appointment went very well from start to finish. Miriam runs the front office and kindly explained all my insurance coverages and what to expect. She also handled numerous insurance calls before and after my visit (to get the visit properly authorized). Berenice did all the X-rays and pictures for the doctor - she was super friendly and gentle, Lastly, Dr. Peter Tafesh did a preliminary evaluation and reviewed all the records. I just started coming here in July. I do like the staff here and the hygienist. They are attentive…read moreand friendly. However, after just two visits, I do need to express a serious concerns. During my cavity filling, I was numbed and while the doctor and hygienist worked on my teeth. I suddenly felt them quickly suction and rush me to sit all the way up without a word. They both walked away for a few minutes. I was confused and then I felt something metallic clashing against my teeth. It turns out the drill head fell in my mouth, since I was numbed it slipped out of my mouth and into my bib. I picked it up, waited for them to come back, and then I let them know. With how quick they moved me up and how long they were gone for, there is no way they did not know when it happened. This has never happened to me before so I was dumbfounded. I do understand that accidents happen but this was beyond unprofessional not to warn me or even mention this to me in the case of an emergency or ask me if I swallowed anything or felt anything. They didn't even apologize for it either. What would have happened if I did swallow it? Suing is not even a major concern to them since it's in their consent form and neither was my safety. Quite honestly, had they informed me, I would have actually came back because I am sure they are great providers but they have lost my trust. I truly question their integrity and how they value patient safety... I really wanted to like this place but I can't bring myself to come back.
