First off, new location right outside Eglin AFB, next to Domino's. I was intrigued by the reviews…read moreof this place describing the donuts as "light" and basically the best ever. I got these donuts a bit before 8:30am, and I'm certain that they would have tasted better if I had come earlier so take the following with a grain of salt: The sprinkles donut with a kind of red glaze (which I think is just a normal white glaze with food coloring because it didn't have any particular flavor) was unpleasant because the glaze broke off into pieces when I bit into it. Crusty isn't something I look for in a donut, LOL. The apple fritter is large with a tiny apple filling in comparison, but that didn't bother me because the fritter was thick and doughy and plenty sweet, tasting just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The chocolate eclair was nothing to write home about, with chocolate glaze that tasted cheap and a bland filling whose only redeeming quality was that it was a welcome break from the sweetness. There is definitely a STAR in this place, and that's the humble and unassuming original glazed donut. The simple powdered sugar glaze is slathered on light and looks sloppy and uneven - which I love because it's just proves it's not your regular chain-store yummy. The dough itself is mildly sweet, and the lingering taste is that of dough fried in fresh oil, reminiscent of something you'd get at a fair/carnival or like those small, sugared donuts you find at some Chinese buffets. I would go back and get the get the glazed again. That's the reason for the four stars! Whatever you choose to sample at this place, make sure you get one or two of the original glazed ones!

Cakemaster's Bakery II - Cakemaster German Chocolate cake (with an extra name I added after picking it up.) DELICIOUS!

The proprietor who was in her car ready to leave after an early morning popped her head out and asked " can I help you?" I said I knew the place was closed but was investigating for the next time. She then asked what I was looking for... a bday cake for my son for a little celebration. She the offered to open the store and show me a little pie cake she'd whipped up from left over batter that morning. A test run she said. I bought it! It was delicious and fresh. Chocolate cake, chocolate pudding and whipped cream ice cream. Perfect for what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised at her willingness to go out of her way to help me.

I saw the reviews of Cakemasters and thought it would be a great place from which to order one, a German Chocolate one, specifically. Not being super knowledgeable about the area's geography, I found out on the pickup day that the bakery was almost an hour and a half from where we were staying with some bad traffic in Destin. I was cursing my gaffe...until I got the cake. It was wonderful! Lisa baked it that morning and it was so delicious, everyone in the family was raving about how it was one of the best tasting cakes they'd ever had. I did have to add a relative's name to the cake after I picked it up, so please note the picture attached is NOT how she gave it to us. I'd highly recommend Cakemaster's for reasonably priced, delicious cakes!

This has been a 4-star experience every time I've visited here since 2018. This week has been a…read moreslight exception. In fact, Why? I found an even easier way to enjoy it. Worried about lines? (Yes, they work quickly but are often very very crowded.) No problem -- this week, I ordered on line. And it was a great experience. Customize your order item by item...pick all the goodies you want; set a time for you. order to be ready. (You can pick it up, as I did...or order Door Dash, etc to deliver it to you at work or home). Simply put: Chose my items, clicked on "order"...and received a text almost immediately. And, when my order was ready (within the estimated time...) I got another text informing me thusly. Very, very convenient...no hemming or hawing over a large menu board trying to decide while being jostled by other hungry patrons. Definitely will order on line again....especially when I'm pressed for time. 5 star experience indeed!

I got an extra scoop of salmon that came with it or I could've gotten a third protein. You can get it with rice, brown rice greens and I think there was a couple other options. Their menu is very easy and very clear to understand and read which made a very helpful and not overwhelming. Everything was labeled perfectly and very quick and fast efficient service I got my Poké bowl on a bed of greens. As you can see, I added a few extra toppings and that was extra like the avocado, seaweed salad and mango, but the mango was actually not ready and crunchy and hard. It did not taste very good at all! I also got a passionfruit Boba tea with lychee. This cost me $25 for both . Everything was packaged very perfectly and my drink looks phenomenal and tasted great.. The staff, they were very kind very quick. The environment was very clean and very kept. It's a very tiny shop. They were out of napkins, so you just had to use a paper towel roll. That was kind of inconvenient since everyone else is grabbing to rip a piece off . I happily enjoyed my visit overall ! Will be back thank You for making it a good experience!
