First off, new location right outside Eglin AFB, next to Domino's. I was intrigued by the reviews of this place describing the donuts as "light" and basically the best ever. I got these donuts a bit before 8:30am, and I'm certain that they would have tasted better if I had come earlier so take the following with a grain of salt: The sprinkles donut with a kind of red glaze (which I think is just a normal white glaze with food coloring because it didn't have any particular flavor) was unpleasant because the glaze broke off into pieces when I bit into it. Crusty isn't something I look for in a donut, LOL. The apple fritter is large with a tiny apple filling in comparison, but that didn't bother me because the fritter was thick and doughy and plenty sweet, tasting just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The chocolate eclair was nothing to write home about, with chocolate glaze that tasted cheap and a bland filling whose only redeeming quality was that it was a welcome break from the sweetness. There is definitely a STAR in this place, and that's the humble and unassuming original glazed donut. The simple powdered sugar glaze is slathered on light and looks sloppy and uneven - which I love because it's just proves it's not your regular chain-store yummy. The dough itself is mildly sweet, and the lingering taste is that of dough fried in fresh oil, reminiscent of something you'd get at a fair/carnival or like those small, sugared donuts you find at some Chinese buffets. I would go back and get the get the glazed again. That's the reason for the four stars! Whatever you choose to sample at this place, make sure you get one or two of the original glazed ones! read more

i was so excited to try this place but my experience wasn't the greatest. i planned to come in at 5:45am to get two dozen glazed donuts. i got in the lot and saw a sign saying they'd be open at 6, which was no problem. but when i came in, they had nothing ready other than 2 dozen cake donuts. i asked about if they'd be making glazed donuts and they said "we don't have any right now and will make them later in the day". i of course don't know the full story but what donut shop doesn't have donuts ready by the time they open? i was disappointed and had to go to another place. read more

They're ok. My husband is from Niceville and he has talked up these donuts forever, but they are really "just okay" to me. I don't think they are much better than what you could get at a Publix or local grocery store. They sell out pretty quickly though. I haven't seen too many donut shops in the area, so I would say it's still a solid option. read more

These are quite possibly the best tasting donuts I've ever had. Flavors are subtle, with enough sugar to make them pop without dripping, and the donuts are light and flavorful. The blue berry and walnut ones are my favorite! Their coffee is average. read more

They come in contemporary flavors (maple bacon or vanilla coconut, anyone?) and are well priced at $7-9/dozen, depending on variety. Be aware that they go quick. My wife never believed me that this place ever actually opened because by the time she would end up driving by the place it would always be closed from selling out of donuts. You may run into the same problem or possibly faced by a lesser selection if you like to sleep in. Don't expect fru-fru fancy donuts with cereal crunchies on top...these are regular donuts with regular varieties. The donuts themselves are very good and prices are average to slightly cheap, relatively speaking. They also donate donuts to the USO at the airport everyday - good work! read more

Poor business. If you say you open at 0530 be open at 0530. Twice I tried to go here and they weren't open when they were supposed to be by the times they have posted. Tuesdays-Sundays 0530-1100. I came by at 0545 and waited until 0615 and the guy was in there but the shop wasn't ready to open clearly. I won't be making my drive out from Niceville to get donuts here nor will I give my business to them when I go on base every morning. Not keeping promises you make to your customers does not deserve my time or money. I don't care how good their donuts are. I'll be telling my colleagues about this as well. I personally am very particular about time because the time I wasted I will never get back and my time is not more valuable as anyone else's in the world and I can't even buy it back. If you don't mind the inconsistent businesses hours they have I'm sure you'll get decent donuts here or call them before you go that will save you a trip. The donuts are definitely not worth the attitude given by the worker. Rude is rude. Tried to order 5 dozen (a walk in order), but was very flexible and asked "mix it up". She gave me one dozen and that is when the attitude started. She informed me that 5 dozen was too much for her to handle and I should "call ahead" next time. We went there since it's close to base and the donuts looked great. The only issue we had was checking out, on the counter was an apple register, Apple Card reader and an IPad. I wanted to pay with apple pay since my wallet was at home it worked just like it should. One lady behind the counter was being very rude to the other employees telling them "move" instead of excuse me. When we started to leave she told the employee "next time I say no Apple Pay then don't take I am the boss". I even called back to tell her that she was very rude and she said " well you should not called I already forgot about it" I will not be going back there there are a lot of donut places with courteous owners who don't talk down to their employees and are not technologically challenged. read more
