Solid brunch option in Frisco that offers lighter options I was looking for a cleaner, lighter brunch option in Frisco, and Bread and Salt hit the nail on the head. I went with the Summer Corn Scramble, an egg white scramble with vegetables, and swapped the hash browns for fruit. The fruit came with a decent sized serving of grapes and strawberries. The egg white scramble was good and, more importantly, it was exactly what I was looking for. That said, it's still an egg white scramble, it's not necessarily going to knock your socks off. The standout was the rustic bread. It was fresh and the star of the meal. They have fresh jams, jellies, and butter on the table which paired really nicely with the bread. I also had a black coffee, which was perfectly fine, while my fiancée got an iced latte that was below average. Overall, Bread and Salt is a cute brunch spot with plenty of outdoor seating, and if you're looking for a lighter breakfast or brunch in Frisco, this was probably the best option I found. Food is fresh and they have a large variety of options for every preference. Wait time can definitely be lengthy depending on time of day. I would recommend ordering all at once if possible, and not planning on it being a quick bite to eat; especially if you come on a weekend or holiday. We have had mostly great service over the years-- the owner is almost always there ensuring that everything is running smoothly. Watch out in the spring for falling snow, as it can and will spill directly into some outdoor tables. Parking is easy and can be found all through the area. It was quiet Monday morning in Frisco, and I asked if our party of four adults could sit at a table that seated five rather than the very small tables that had four chairs around them. The hostess said no, that she had to reserve that table in case a party of seven came in. We were seated at one of the very tiny tables and it felt uncomfortable-it was clear that once our plates arrived we would need to move all the condiments from the middle of the table, and even then it would be a tight squeeze.Eventually, the round top next to us that seats five opened and we asked if we could move to that one. The hostess turned to our waitress and asked if it was OK with her if we moved. The waitress hesitated. She looked from us to the other table and back again, and then she said, "We don't usually let people move tables after they've placed their order." I want to emphasize that the restaurant was half full, and there were no people waiting to be seated. The waitress finally said, "Well, OK." It was so much more comfortable at the larger table, but that whole, strangely uncomfortable exchange threw a pall over the meal. Clearly customer service is not their concern. In the two days prior we had eaten breakfast at the Butterhorn across the street, and The Little Diner in Vail, both of which were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, so the contrast was glaring. I ordered the Summer Corn Scramble, and it was delicious, although the accompanying hash browns tasted like they were from a frozen package, and the English muffin was not the best quality. The door handles as we entered the restaurant were grimy and I should have taken that as a cue to eat elsewhere. I will not return. read more

I loved this place! I called ahead to ask about the wait time and they kindly let me know that it was busy outside in the patio. I had my dog so instead I placed a takeout order. I ordered the French toast with strawberries, a cup of orange juice, a side of hashbrowns, and a side of bacon. I also opted for the real maple syrup. I got my order in about 15 minutes. I paid for it then drove over to eat it at the Historic Frisco park/museum outdoor table area. I truly enjoyed the good food. I highly recommend eating here! read more

This place was a serendipitous find for me, but I'm glad I drove past! I was leaving Breckenridge going toward Vail and saw this place on Frisco's Main Street on the path to the freeway so I pulled off cause it looked cute. Indeed it was! The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. There was plenty of parking right out front, and it's on the main road so lots of other little fun shops around. There are shared bathrooms (between the businesses right around there); they're clean enough. And the food - it's excellent! I had the truffle scramble which is a truffle omelette ($17) with add ins, and comes with a side of hash browns and homemade toast or biscuit (I got the toast). I also ordered some earl grey tea with a side of vanilla syrup/milk (to make a London fog since it wasn't on their menu), and that was so lovely with the breakfast. I was quite full after all that, didn't need another meal until dinner although I ate at like 8:30am. Also the place got pretty full by 9a, a good number of people were on the waitlist and all the tables were full, so it gets busy! It's worth it tbh, I really liked the food and vibe.
