This place was a serendipitous find for me, but I'm glad I drove past! I was leaving Breckenridge going toward Vail and saw this place on Frisco's Main Street on the path to the freeway so I pulled off cause it looked cute. Indeed it was! The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. There was plenty of parking right out front, and it's on the main road so lots of other little fun shops around. There are shared bathrooms (between the businesses right around there); they're clean enough. And the food - it's excellent! I had the truffle scramble which is a truffle omelette ($17) with add ins, and comes with a side of hash browns and homemade toast or biscuit (I got the toast). I also ordered some earl grey tea with a side of vanilla syrup/milk (to make a London fog since it wasn't on their menu), and that was so lovely with the breakfast. I was quite full after all that, didn't need another meal until dinner although I ate at like 8:30am. Also the place got pretty full by 9a, a good number of people were on the waitlist and all the tables were full, so it gets busy! It's worth it tbh, I really liked the food and vibe. The mushroom Benedict was the best eggs benny I've ever had in my life. Topped with truffle oil and porcini hollandaise sauce. I couldn't stop talking about how good it was all day today. We ordered bloody Mary's to start and it took a little longer than we expected but not too bad when I said we were ready to order our waitress said she'd be right back. She came back in a few minutes with a different waitress to take our order. We came in for lunch at 1:30 and simply ordered a field greens salad with grilled chicken We finally got our food at 2:20. Their homemade bread is pretty incredible, I was very glad I asked them to put my eggs Benedict on the bread instead of English muffin and got to try it. I also thought the mushroom Benedict was unique and lovely. As for the other dishes, bread and salt is just your typical diner spot. She was friendly and attempted to be helpful but just kept missing things. Choosing a couple of sides works well with a husband who prefers the specials with Olathe corn, a real Colorado treat. Server immediately asked us for the types of drinks we wanted. Great service and very attentive. Food: Had a traditional breakfast the first day, two eggs, sausages, hash browns, and wheat toast. The sausages were home made and were very good and the hashies were great. We went there two days later for lunch and had a Pork Burrito. This was very good and packed with flavor. I would say this is a solid option for morning breakfast if you're looking for a delightful, quiet and personal experience. Food was savory, flavorful and came with locally sourced toast. I had the Spanish Scramble paired with their bold, "wake me up" coffee. Their pancakes were overall ok and perhaps lacked a little bit of flavor.
