We continue to seek out Bread and Salt because of the amazing staff and accommodating menu. As a healthy eater, I like the portions and selections on the "sides" menu. Choosing a couple of sides works well with a husband who prefers the specials with Olathe corn, a real Colorado treat. Petra, the manager is always pleasant and our server Edith, both check back to refill coffee cups and check to see if we're happy. Great people watching if you sit outside. Enjoying a quick lunch from the chaos/fun that is snowboarding and I have to say to whoever is in Frisco, CO that this place is a must stop. Definitely order a Bloody Mary also the food is amazing, I really enjoyed the Fettuccine Alfredo and Tomato Basil soup. Wife and kids visited on our drive back to Denver from Breckenridge. This is a cute, small, local restaurant nestled off Main St. The mountain views from inside are phenomenal. I would say this is a solid option for morning breakfast if you're looking for a delightful, quiet and personal experience. Food was savory, flavorful and came with locally sourced toast. I had the Spanish Scramble paired with their bold, "wake me up" coffee. Their pancakes were overall ok and perhaps lacked a little bit of flavor. These are served with a side if Nutella and during our visit a side of blueberries. Service was personable. Staff members were kind although place got busy during our visit and we waited on a few things (understandably). Price is relatively ok. Definitely not the most affordable but not the most expensive either. We spent about $80 for a family of 4 with tip included. read more

I like when a breakfast place has some nontraditional dishes. I feel like it's great to have the "standard" stuff that you can always go back to, but it's nice to try different things every once in a while. The Avocado sandwich was delicious, lots of green, and I liked the fresh Jalapenos in there. They also make a delightful Challah french toast. When it's nice out, there's a lovely outside seating area. I believe in the winter this area is closed; after all, this place is at around 9000ft altitude. The service was also very efficient. What a fun little find our our weekend away in Breck/Frisco! It's small, a little confusing what to do when you walk in (I think I figured out that the "front" entrance is actually on the side? And the entrance on the patio is the exit? It's not super clear, but it all worked out - the only reason I take a star away!) Rhetorical service was excellent and quick, the food- amazing. This was the best hash browns I've ever had- a simple dish but so delicious. I got the Butter it Squash scramble. It was just the perfect amount of food. The food is tasty but be warned it can be chilly if you plan to sit outside. We were hoping to be seated in the sun but the host sat us in the shade. Most of the plate is covered in potato hash and I wish it was the other way around. This place would be a perfect breakfast spot to stop that's in between Denver and say if you're heading to Breckenridge but passed the tunnel. Frisco is a cute town. I love hanging out here beyond a ski trip. Bread and Salt is cute as a button inside and out. They're about 7 years old. They support local as well and they make their own bread at a bakery right across the street. So I can tell you now. Their bread is that good! We requested a second helping. Lol! We tried: 1. On the way to Vail for a weekend get away, with snow and injurious traffic, we decided to respite with breakfast. Bread and Salt was perfect with minimal divergence. I loved the charming exterior, very inviting. The hostess was polite and sat us at a window table. Our waitress was also very pleasing and sweet. Seeing a place with sparse tables due to COVID brought a despondent mood, which was quickly reprieved with the waitress' genuine smile and optimism. The owner named this place Bread and Salt as these are ingredients found in almost all meals, and the fact that they bake their own country wheat home made bread at their sister restaurant called Bagalis. Bagalis is a bakery literally across the street, which turns into an Italian restaurant in the afternoon. I would highly recommend the bread over the English muffin. Although the muffins are locally sourced from Harvest Moon Balking Co. in Denver, you really need to savor this freshly baked bread. The menu offered extensive choices for breakfast, but I craved the Spanish Chorizo Scramble. It was flavorful with onions, spicy chorizo, mushrooms and herbs. Of course I ordered their toast, a thick cut, perfect for making a scramble sandwich. The bread was amazing, so I asked for a second slice. The coffee was delicious, apparently the Conscious Coffee from Boulder. My wife ordered the Roasted Apples Challah French Toast with side order of crunchy thick bacon, which she loved. She was offered Maple Syrup and fake Maple Syrup, oddly enough; of course she chose the real deal. She also had a Mimosa that was stiff. I went to bread and salt this am. I used to frequent this restaurant when I lived in summit county and enjoyed the outdoor space in the summer. Unfortunately the prices are now just insane. I had the hash with veggies and scrambled eggs and coffee. Two items. I was alone and my breakfast bill without alcohol was $28 with tip. For a meh meal I was very disappointed. The price gouging is not right and I will now enjoy a better different breakfast place from now on. So,so disappointed. I ended up getting the chipotle pork Benedict and we also ordered the lamb pasta. The Benedict was out of this world, I'm normally a bit wary when it comes to holla Daisy sauce but they did an awesome job here. Very disappointing experience. First, the service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour to get appetizers served after having to ask for it. Second, and most importantly, bad bad choice if going to dine with children. My kids ordered the fettuccini Alfredo from kids menu. Menu is extremely deceiving! The pasta is listed for $18 and turns out the choices of protein is an extra $12. When we received the bill, the total price for kids menu pasta was $30. WHAT!???!! I ordered two kids pastas for a total of $60. Unreal. The adult entrees weren't even that expensive. When I asked the waitress about the price, she stated that it was $18 plus a $12 protein. Again, $30 for a kids sized pasta. My husband also ordered the Pork Burrito. They should name it a potato burrito. Minimal protein stuffed with potatoes. Don't recommend this place. Bad food. Nice little restaurant right on the main strip of Frisco. We stopped here on our way to copper mountain to fuel up for a day of skiing. It is a small restaurant and seemed to fill in quickly, the service was relatively quick and we were in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I had the green sandwich and I added bacon, it was good, if I ordered again I'd add an extra egg as only one side had it.
