cute spot, cozy and inviting for both conversation and work. i was disappointed in the quality of the coffee, however. it's a shame, the barista was very kind and friendly! i went with an oat milk latte and it was barely warm, milk was steamed too fast (massive bubbles, no micro foam) and it barely tasted of the double shot i ordered. maybe just the luck of the draw, caught them on a bad day, but can't recommend this shop for their coffee. i'm going try it again sometime and see if my experience is any different. stay tuned. read more

I have given this place well over a year to get their act together and I continue to be disappointed. The coffee urns are often empty with no back up brewing, their beverages are often depleted. Bagels are frequently unavailable even in the morning. There was one morning where they ran out of cream for coffee. The pastries taste like they are 2-3 days old. The interior seating is very tight, hard to negotiate around tables, they have a couch which is nice but the coffee table in front of the couch is way too big I have enjoyed this little shop for years when it was under different ownership, I truly hope this kind of review will help them make improvements read more

It was my first visit to Abbey's Place on a quiet Sunday morning. The café was modestly busy. I ordered a drip coffee and a latte. Like many places today, I was prompted to leave a tip at checkout, which I did. After paying, I was informed that coffee was self-serve and directed to the dispensers--only to find all three completely empty. When I returned to the counter to let them know, the staff seemed aware and said they were working on it. While waiting, I decided to try their sausage, egg, potato, green chile, and cheese breakfast burrito. It was ready before the coffee. The burrito was flavorful, but the outside was extremely hot while the center remained cold. It was also a bit soggy, suggesting it had been microwaved straight from the fridge. I found the restroom was depleted of toilet paper and there was trash on the floor. It just wasn't a good look. Lastly, as a suggestion they should place napkins next to the coffee dispensers but instead they are located on the corner coffee table where other guests were sitting. I overheard three customers ask for napkins, all of whom were directed to the coffee table which seemed a bit misplaced. Overall, it wouldn't be my first choice for a coffee shop, but it'll do in a pinch. read more

Abbey's is my new go-to! The chai is one of the best chai teas in the county and the bagels/cream cheese are a great breakfast/lunch option. I think the staff is so nice every time we are in there, we have a great experience. It is great for working (the wifi is strong for Frisco!) and they have a ton of outdoor seating that is great in the summer. Highly recommend as a stop for a coffee and bagel! read more

Stopping into a nearby thrift store, the crowd convinced us to go inside for coffee. We're glad we did. It's a cozy space with quality coffee. My latte was creamy and tasty. One interesting thing is that they use pasta noodles as stirrers. read more

Abbey's is a cute little coffee shop that fits the neighborhood coffee shop vibe. It's a small place with limited seating, but still a perfect place for a quick catch up with friends or a quick pick-me-up drink or snack. The barista was super sweet and helped us with suggestions. I ordered the toasted marshmallow latte, as per the barista's suggestion, and it was so delicious. I love anything toasted marshmallow and this did not disappoint. My fiancée got a hot chocolate and she loved it. Unfortunately we had just eaten breakfast or else we would have opted for a breakfast burrito. If we're ever back in the Frisco area then we'll make another visit for sure! read more

Ran into this place while heading to the bus stop to go catch our flight back home from Denver. It's like a hidden gem. Ambiance was so nice, was able to charge our electronic while having something to drink. The people there helped us figure out how to get to the bus stop. The views all around are breathtaking. I was staying in Frisco this August with family for vacation. I am a coffee snob, I do not get coffee from Starbucks because it tastes like crap unless you cover it up with lots of sugars and flavors which I do not. I am a 1 cappuccino in the morning and cortado/espresso persons in the afternoon. The coffee at my VRBO was probably 10 years old so I broke down and started coming to Abbey's in the morning. Everyone was normally sleeping in so worked out fine. Coffee was excellent and family was happy with additional treat I brought back like chocolate croissants and muffins. We also came here for nice cream and everyone was happy. Looks like it is a small business run by a local family. So come here vs. Starbucks what is wrong with you!!! read more

Honestly, I had expected better based on the recommendations from some locals. Maybe it was an off day, but the staff seemed frazzled and they were out of most bakery items and burritos. As a long-time Frisco fan, it's hard for me to contemplate cheating on Butterhorn, but I stopped by Abbey's ahead of doing the Ice Castles thing and was so happy I did. I got a hot cocoa and my friend got a mocha latte. Both were delicious (I have been to coffee shops where the hot cocoa is just pre-mixed powder in water, so I never take good cocoa for granted!) The woman at the counter told us all about the owner's dogs (there are tons of photos of them, so we had asked for this intel) and it just felt like a really friendly neighborhood coffee spot and not something fake in a touristy mountain town. Definitely worth the quick stop (it's right off of the Summit Blvd. and Main St. but an easy detour from Summit if you aren't already in Frisco). The cookie was good, too! read more

The lattes are delicious along with the mochas, but the chai was a little bit watered down. it's a very cute coffee shop with lots of options available. Abbey's is an incredibly cute coffee shop in a little Colorado mountain town. It's almost easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area as it's tucked behind a couple trees at the end of a small strip of shops. I actually rode my bike past it a couple times before finding it. They serve regular hot and cold coffee and tea drinks along with pastries and small bites at very reasonable prices. There is nothing that really makes this place stand out, but it's all-around good. I waited by the counter a bit before being serviced, but my drink was made quickly. My vanilla frappe with extra coffee was delicious! Sitting at one of the outdoor tables and sipping it while talking with a friend was wonderful. I'd definitely be a regular here if I was a local. Alas, I'm not. I'll need to come here as much as I can when I'm around! read more

After Lunch a couple blocks away, we decide to find somewhere, "quiet" to have some time to catch up and some beverages. Hence to Abbey's Coffee we went. This recent visit was on Friday March 20th 2015. Time was about 13:20hrs ish. My friends purchased Coffee and Tea. YES, this establishment is kept clean and even the washroom is clean when I get the chance to use it, that afternoon. I opt to have Hot Chocolate with whipped cream. It was about $5.12 with tax. All in all its an average layback, cool coffee/tea/beverage establishment to chill out with friends. There is some seating areas outside this establishment aka the PATIO when weather permits. This is right off of Main Street in Frisco. It's a cute cafe with a good amount of seating. The decor is collectic and they have games there if you want to play. They offer some food, we just went for coffee. The coffee was decent, we didn't get anything too special, iced coffee with cream. If you need a little pick up it's a good place to stop. read more
