So I met up my jet setter daughter in London around the Holidays and we secured a reservation for Christmas dinner at this Gordon Ramsey's literally on Bread Street, (and by the way which also has his pizzeria at bottom floor, moderate fine dining upstairs, both with cool bars!). I had gone to his Hell's Kitchen at the Wharf in DC, had Wellington and Toffee bread pudding but there's nothing like the one here! The Wellington for 2 was a generous full Wellington, cut in 6 servings, was very good! The beef was so tender and perfectly wrapped in this light mushroom-spread pastry. Each bite was joyful as it should be, even the two tables on either side to us, happened to be fellow Americans also ordered the same and utterly enjoyed their meals chimed in how lucky we were enjoying our meals during this joyous occasion. Reserving ahead (deposit required) was key especially during the Holidays. It was one of a few restaurants open on Christmas day. Although the waitress was somewhat inattentive, and automatically added (somewhat undeserved) 20% gratuity on our bill, the excellent food was our profound memory of this place. In UK and EU gratuities and tips are included in the price. Therefore, tipping is a bonus or extra. I would caution the restaurant however, a recurring practice by the wait staff of the sort because it could ruin its reputation and could tell reviews are telling-they are not coveting 5 stars...Thus, 3.5 because no matter how great the food was, overall experience counts! I'd like happy noises in the end!

This was the best meal I had while in London! I was scrambling to find a restaurant that was open for Christmas and did not have a pre-set dinner meal, which was incredibly difficult to find. It seemed like every restaurant in town was taking advantage of the Christmas holiday, so offered a multi-course, holiday special for beaucoup bucks. However, Bread Street Kitchen was a restaurant that offered their a la carte menu and was open on Christmas, thank god. I'm also a fan of Gordon Ramsay, so it was such a treat to dine at Bread Street Kitchen, one of his many restaurants in London. I was able to make a reservation online, but did need to place a $100 deposit, which went towards the meal. This particular restaurant is located by the St. Paul Cathedral and on the lower level is a Gordon Ramsay pizza shop. We arrived before our reservation time, hoping to get in earlier, but at the time, they were fully booked. We sat in the bar to hang out, but the hostess 20 minutes later let us know that a table last-minute opened up, so we were able to be seated earlier. That was thoughtful of the staff. The food was so delicious. The special of course is the beef wellington, which serves two and it comes with mashed potatoes and au jus. I've never had beef wellington before, but heard so much about it being a Gordon Ramsay fan, and can honestly say it is worth it! I can see why this is the pride and joy of any Gordon Ramsay restaurant that serves this. The beef was incredibly tender, and wrapped in a baked dough with a mushroom pate. NOMS! For dessert, we had the other must-have of Gordon Ramsay's, the sticky toffee pudding, which was my first time having sticky toffee pudding - and now I'm a fan! The warm sticky toffee cake was delicious with the vanilla beam ice cream and glaze. What a great way to end our Christmas meal! I had such a wonderful dining experience at Bread Street Kitchen, and am thankful for the hardworking staff who had to work on Christmas. I'm still thinking about the delicious Gordon Ramsay specialty dishes that are a must try!

This restaurant was so beautiful and the service was incredible; Ellyas was so knowledgeable and a great server. We got the ribs, burger, and fish and chips and everything was delicious but the burger was by far the best I've ever had. Hope to go back one day!

Service is lovely! Ambiance is lively and fun, we had a 7p pop in for dinner after a long day of sightseeing seeing. Prawn cocktail, meatballs, bread basket, fish and chips and a Caesar Salad is what our party ordered. The starters were amazing. Fish was light flaky and perfection. And is huge you can easily share it. And the salad was very delicious! I have some food allergies and the staff took great care and I appreciated the attentiveness! I highly recommend stopping here if you're near St Paul's

Came here for breakfast and it was packed. Lots of people in dress shirts doing the power lunch thing. The actual menu is unsurprising and uninspiring. Standard breakfast fare. There were two standouts, however. The first is that the staff could not have been nicer. Klaudette and Signe were so courteous and professional, and were super understanding about seating me before the whole party arrived, and letting me go a bit unreasonable with my order, which was an orange juice...and something off the dinner menu. They had to check with Chef Vanina, who came out of the kitchen to confirm the order. The beef wellington was cooked perfectly. Crispy, juicy, tender, flavorful. And the two little cups of jus that it came with were delicious. The side of mashed potatoes were a bit much (gotta draw the line somewhere buddy) but I left so happy not just because they prepared a great meal for me, but because the staff had the open mindedness to let this jetlagged American order the house special at an odd hour. I cannot wait for an excuse to get back.

The location on the Thames in the Limestreet area of London is stunning, serene on the river, with a lovely view. The service was wonderful and the food was simple and very delicious. Yummy drinks and dessert too. It's a special occasion sort of restaurant as it's on the expensive side, but the quality was superb.

I had high expectations on this restaurant because of Gordon Ramsay. However, the overall dining experience is a bit disappointing, especially food. I like Ramsay's G&T cocktail and cod fish most (5 stars). The most famous beef Wellington is overrated. The truffle mash and steak are not well balanced. Chef Ramsay should consider use less truffle mash and lighter sauce such as Worcestershire (or Demi-glacé) to wrap the steak. Otherwise pastry and truffle definitely overwhelm the entire steak. After completing a piece, my mouth was full of taste of black truffle, not beef. I even could not eat second piece. Unfortunately food is not impressive. Appetizers are all delish, but for a celebrity chef like Gordon Ramsay, it is actually failing if main star dish falls behind. The service is ok. Since background music is loud, waitresses missed our calling a few times. I needed to look at the manager to request something. Sorry Gordon, your beef Wellington is missing my vote!

The place was beautiful inside, nice ambiance and great service. We had our daughter with us and was delighted that they had some activity packet for kids. I had the roasted cod and thought it was good. Loved the wine selection...

Being from the States, it was the first time I experienced the unlimited Spritz and Mimosas for brunch. Their selections were great. The food was very good, but they overcooked my beef wellington. Instead of returning it and waiting for a new one (which would take another 45mins), I decided to just eat it but I did let them know how disappointed I was. Despite all of that, I still found the dish tasty, just not to my liking. Overall, I would still recommend the place. It is a bit pricey, but not ridiculously expensive.

Another Gordan Ramsey restaurant in my book. I'm visiting London and of course there are restaurants by this amazing chef everywhere. It was lunchtime, and I was starving from so much walking. Of course, I went traditional with the fish and chips and my friend got the burger. The fish was big, crispy, and flaky. It was very good. The fries were perfect, too. The burger tasted just as good if not better because of the sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was absolutely the highlight of the meal. It was amazingly tasty. It's not so sweet and just downright perfect. You've done it again, Chef Ramsey. However, you are probably wondering why the 4 stars. Even though the entrées were good, they were not great except for the dessert. I've had amazing things from this celebrity chef. Oh, the service was great. They were attentive and friendly. I hope to share more of my London adventures.

My daughter and I went for a quick bite to eat one day in London... we like how it was a Gordon Ramsey Resto and wanted to check it out! It was around noon on a Friday morning. Even though there was only 1 or 2 parties there, it took a while to get seated. Hostess status at a window table, nice to you. My daughter ordered the extended date and asked for very over easy eggs. Unfortunately came very well done. I had the avocado toast which was actually very nice. I ordered Rose. The surprise at the end was when she came to give us the check, she took off my daughter's EB even though we didn't say anything or give any impression at all about the mixup. I was so pleased about the service over anything, and I appreciate her fixing it. This is what customer service in the industry is about and unfortunately lacking. Thank you sweet server! When in London again, we will be back!

SUPER SALTY PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THIS

I was really disappointed given this restaurant is under the name of Gordon Ramsay. We went for £16 bottomless pizza for lunch and barely ate anything because the pizza was EXTREMELY SALTY!! I wouldn't say it's flavorful or anything - just like tasting plain SALT on the dough. Not sure if we're just unlucky that the chef somehow spilled a jar of salt right onto our slices but both me and my friend could barely get a second slice of each. (Anyway we did our best to try everything to make up what we paid). The service was average. Our servers were friendly and I was good with that. However, the food was the worst pizza I've had in my life. Extremely disappointing!! This left me no believe in the famous Gordon Ramsay anymore. Totally a waste of money and time. I definitely will NOT be back.

I got the All American breakfast and the portion was huge. I enjoyed everything, even though they don't make over-medium eggs, which was a little funny to me. My mom ordered the avo, egg, and cheese sandwich and didn't realize it was spicy, so she didn't enjoy it much. Just something to be aware of if you're not into spice. Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
