Desserts galore!!! Was informed of this place by my mother and we stopped by last Friday on our way back from Gainesville. I was almost like a kid in a candy store! Everything looked so good, tons and tons of calories for sure, lol! But, indulging in some sweets every now and then is ok. Plus, there were frozen homemade dishes as well (such as mac and cheese, lasagna, chicken alfredo, chicken broccoli casserole, etc.). Along with a few desserts, I also purchased several of the frozen meals. I tried the mac and cheese and it was ok"; a bit bland for my taste, but not too bad. I will try the chicken alfredo and the chicken /broccoli/cheddar and rice dish this week sometime. The main draw though is the desserts, which I can highly recommend! We got lemon cookies, banana nut bread, and cinnamon rolls (had to take the very sweet icing off, but enjoyed the rest). I will plan to go back when I happen to be in Thomasville again and will try different desserts; sounds like fun! I will also try their pickled okra and some of the homemade jams.

This is where I go for spices and premade quick frozen sides. They have a fine selection of jellies and jams. The bacon jam is the jam! I'm not much of a sweet eater but always leave with a little something. One cinnamon bun can last me two days! I love the ambiance here and everyone is so helpful! This hometown bakery is worth stopping at - again and again! read more

After reading the reviews maybe I went on a off day and bought day old goods but I was not impressed. I went on Saturday with my husband and daughter. I saw the hummingbird cake and immediately got excited because it is my favorite. $2.75 a slice seemed like a decent price. My daughter got pumpkin muffins which she loved. My husband, being a chocolate lover, got the chocolate cake. When we got home I opened the hummingbird cake right away, grabbed a fork and was ready to go! Oh my goodness was I disappointed. The cake was SO DRY! there was not an ounce of moisture in the cake at all. It was gritty and crumbled and flaked as soon as I touched it. I have never tasted saw dust but I imagine it is like this. The frosting was good but still didnt add to the cake. Just based on that I dont think we will be back. Maybe other things there are good, but I was so disappointed by that piece of cake it doesnt justify another visit. Sorry to be in the minority here. read more

Everything looked Absolutely beautiful , first time we've shopping here . Last night in the hotel we were craving cinnamon rolls , so a quick google search and we found this bakery. My little girls were so excited when we walked in . Couldn't decide what we wanted it all looked awesome . Cinnamon rolls , 6 cake cops , 2 slices of cake , & bag of LEGO candy . I love their prices We only paid $ 25 I was completely shocked because in some bigger cities we've been to , would have been double the price . Can't wait to taste our sweets, Thank you read more

If you are in Thomasville, head Hwy 19 N and look for the Bread Wagon on your left. You won't be disappointed! Prepared meals to take home to bake, dips, pimento cheese, lots of homemade sweets and also sugar free sweets. Worth the few extra miles out of town. I go often and have never gotten anything that wasn't delicious. read more

The Bread Wagon is such a hidden gem in Thomasville, Georgia. I've only just recently enjoyed the pumpkin cream cheese muffins. They were EXTRAORDINARY!! So moist, delicious and full of all the fall spices and just delectable!! A must try! I've enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and purchased some great jams and jellies also. I love introducing friends to The Bread Wagon. Everything is wonderful there. Can't wait to come back!! read more

This is a great little place. You should see the custom cakes! My grandma would be jealous. Great prices on spices- and they have Vietnamese cinnamon. Home made breads, local meats and cheeses. My big take away was a roll of Amish butter! Yummy. read more

Fabulously stocked with luscious treats. Free lemonade while you shop. Our friends say the butter is amazing (pity we have such diverse travel plans). The spices are inexpensively priced and the steel cut oats phenomenally affordable in a monster bag. read more

The food here is wonderful, but they do need a lesson in how to handle retail business. I was standing by the cash register and had merchandise in hand. Up walked a man and the young lady asked to help him. Helped him and walked off left me standing with my breads. Never acknowledged me. Have not been back again and that was years ago. Maybe I should have made a scene, but not my way. The man was also rude for not saying I was ahead of him, but we know the rude way a lot of men are. read more

They sell the best cakes! Red Velvet is my favorite, but with any flavor always order a day or two in advance so that it is fresh. The cakes that are pre-made can be a little dry, depending on how long they've been sitting out. read more

Some of their baked items are delivered fresh from the bakery on the same day and others are left over after the drivers complete their deliveries. If you want to know about the fresh items available, simply ask one of the employees. You might really enjoy this store if you have to pack a number of school lunches or if you like having a variety of snacks on hand. Although we did not purchase any products, it was nice to explore the thrift shop and to see the various items that have absolutely nothing to do with baking. No problem there because everyone loves the convenience of a one-stop shop! Check it out!

Flowers Food bought the Wonder bread rights in bankruptcy court. Wonder bread still retains it's iconic red, yellow, blue circles on it's packaging. i disliked Wonder bread for it's lack of nutrients. kids loved it for the supersoft texture. one barely had to chew, they just swallow. the bread. though it's labeled "whole grain white", the whole grains are oat, corn, cottonseed or cellulose. not wheat grains. each piece of bread satisfies 3% fat, 6% sodium & 8 % carbonhydrates of a daily requirements. a 60 calorie slice of bread is made from water, unbleached enriched flour, whole wheat flour, wheat gluten, high frutose corn syrup, yeast, fiber, & brown rice flour. when the bread isn't utilized as energy in the body, it transforms into fat.
