The prices have also gone up exponentially since they hit peak popularity--paying almost $40 for just six mochis and a tiger cake roll is rough if you're expecting repeat customers in a suburby area. Yet, because they have virtually zero local competition, this remains the absolute best option for anyone craving fresh cream mochi in MA in my humble opinion. Otherwise, you're looking at a trip all the way to Flushing, NY. The store itself is small and packed, making it strictly a grab-and-go spot, though they do put out a couple of umbrella tables outside during the warmer months.
