I think one of the key factors may be the buttercream frosting, generally I prefer cream cheese frosting but even the cake itself didn't have enough flavor. I can appreciate the dark chocolate aspect for the hot chocolate but it was a bit too bitter and wasn't satisfying. We'll probably give it another chance at some point but for now we aren't rushing back. Each time I go the bakery is filled with local neighbors getting their morning coffee and pastry. Not much seating available but a nice opportunity to stand and chat with neighbors. I have only had the cupcakes here for birthdays and gifting, which are simple but great. Pricing is fair and even more affordable than some brands in grocery stores (with Quebrada's being much tastier). The display cases are filled with tons of other pastry options that I will have to try one day.
