Hard to find, but well worth it. Small studio but excellent instructor & nice studio. Would return if I was ever in the area again.

This is a great exercise studio with a top notch instructor. Their yoga at noon class is a nice break from work.

I am very lucky to take classes with Natalie, Lien, Emilia and Elexey. They make the classes fun while encouraging us to do our very best while making sure we are careful and safe while exercising. I am also specially lucky to be able to personally train with Natalie, She is patient and encouraging in my fitness path, while being a great role model. The support staff, Yari, Gaby and Dianelys, are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Another plus we experience is the social interaction with the other members. It is amazing that all the ladies are friendly and caring with each other. I have heard many members say that going to S.H.E. Fitness is like getting psychological support. I agree, we get physical, social and mental fitness at our gymnasium!

This place has fairly good / tough exercise classes for women. It is a small gym but also feels…read morelike a safe environment to work out in. I'm giving two stars to this gym for several reasons though: 1. Once you sign up with this gym through a contract, there is no way to cancel your contract (unless you transfer it to a close family or friend) unless you happen to move away very far from the gym. If you decide to stop paying for whatever reason, this are probably going to report this and this will end up as a big mark on your credit score. I don't like being force-fed to come here and I know other gyms will let you voluntarily leave as a member if you simply pay an extra cancellation fee and your last payment for the month. I have been really unhappy that this gym is literally forcing me to pay per month when I'm no longer interested and would instead like to be at a different gym. 2. Carlos, the person who does spinning at night, likes to "go fast" during the spinning sessions. This means there's no technique and you're literally not doing much to push yourself or lose weight / build muscle on your body. So although I pay for spinning classes, I feel like I have to ignore what the instructor says and go at my own pace and in a way that I know will actually work to push myself to grow. He's there but it almost feels like a waste of time to pay for these classes if he's teaching the class incorrectly. 3. Many of the machines are old and on some of the running machines, if you go too slow while running, the machines will automatically turn off and restart your workout. I've had this happen multiples times and it's infuriating to know that have to keep restarting your work-out from scratch. Many of the other classes are good, like Zumba, although they play the music so loud that it's hard to put on your own music if you're on the machines while you're hearing "Gasolina" played at high volume levels. I've tried to maintain it, but overall, I haven't felt really happy with this gym just based on my own point of view. It might be a good fit for other people looking for an all-ladie's gym for their own reasons.

The space is…read moresmall, cute, and impeccably clean -- with a traditional feel that strips away the noise and keeps the focus where it belongs: the work. I'll admit, the lack of mirrors threw me off at first. I'm so used to watching my form that I wasn't sure how I'd manage. Turns out, it didn't matter one bit. If anything, it pushed me to tune inward rather than rely on my reflection. Instructor Sabrina is the real standout. She guided us through variations that looked deceptively simple and left us genuinely sweating by the end. Challenging in the best way. Will absolutely be back.

I've heard that Pilates makes you gain more strength and build muscle which should help my overall shoulder discomfort and it was surprising how this specific class did that as soon as I started the training. The studio is tucked in the base floor of a nice retail building right in the heart of Sunset Place. At first glance, it shines with neatness and coziness as the warm host who registers the checks in greets you as if she were your friend for a lifetime and that positive attitude is what you need when trying to unplug from daily work stress. I was introduced immediately to our instructor, Sabrina Segura, whose charisma was evident since she greeted me and the rest of the participants. I signed up for the 50-minute All-Level Pilates, and glad that I did because it refreshed me on all the basic and not-so-basic movements by covering a complete workout. Also by adding more springs, the tightness made me push for more effort while doing the exercises. Sabrina was so professional from the start, explaining very detail each exercise without losing sight of all of our postures, and at the same time keeping an upbeat pace throughout the complete journey. The complete session felt like therapy, for the first time I didn't think of anything else than trying to make my postures better and align with the instructions. Actually, by the end, I was even encouraged to do more of it. I could have easily lasted around one more hour. Sabrina made it feel so easy and effortless, but at the same time, the after-effect of the exercise felt as if I had lifted weights during an earlier slot. When you experience the dedication of Sabrina to each of her students you will notice how passionate she is about her Pilates practices. The ambiance of the studio is very friendly, and it seems like everyone knows each other, which transmits a family-style environment, which resonates with the overall concept of Pilates in the Grove. The bathroom is available for all students and they have a mini fridge with plenty of water to refresh. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully under a wonderful instructor like Sabrina.

That said, perhaps I am not far along enough, but did not find anything too challenging. After reading so much about staying active and getting your heart rate up this is better than nothing, but do not come intending to break a sweat. At $33 per class the manager should purchase new pink mats as I was forced to buy toe socks for "sanitary reasons". The mats were full of holes and stained and not cleaned between classes- big turnoff...*especially* for someone concerned with sanitary issues. ... The toe sock requirement should have been mentioned on mindbody (there are a number of opportunities on MB to do so) prior to booking or in the LONG text message I received with directions. I have never worn toe socks to pilates before...but like I said it is not really pilates. Given the lack of prenatal offerings in the area I see why this gets glowing reviews, it is nice to be able to socialize with other mothers. Also I was charged $20 for what is $16 on Amazon.
