Our break room therapy session was easy to schedule and such a unique experience. there are different packages to choose from when scheduling. we chose the mixed glass package - there were bottles, glasses, plates, candle jars, etc. there are packages that include electronics and you can also add on various items to your package. another cool thing to know is that you can bring up to 10 clean glass items to break during your session for free. if you bring an electronic item there is a small fee to account for disposal. the sessions cost the same whether you have 2 people or 4 people. in the room where you get ready, there are lockers with keys to leave your belongings. a staff member explained safety gear choices and all of the procedures clearly before we began. we chose a face shield and gloves. they do have full body suits as well if you want more protection. once you've got your gear on, you have the option for a picture against a backdrop with props that they send to you for no additional charge. there are a few touches that I found added more meaning to the experience but of course are optional. there is a sharpie to write on the items you smash if there is anything you want to symbolically destroy, release, etc. there are also 2 whiteboards- one to express how you feel entering the space and one to express how you feel leaving the space. once you're inside the room, staff clearly explain the rules and you have 25 minutes to break your items which is more than enough time. there are various smashing items - pan, hammers, bats, and a crowbar. it was our experience that the glass is easier to break and super satisfying. they did throw in a free vcr for us which was very kind. the electronics take more effort to break but that is satisfying in its own way. everything was very well explained and thoughtfully executed. read more

I recently visited Breakroom Therapy for a workplace bonding experience with my coworkers, and we truly had a smashing good time (pun fully intended)! There were eight of us total, and we booked two rooms for 30 minutes. Two people can go into the rooms at a time, which ended up working perfectly. At first, I didn't think 30 minutes would be long enough, but I was so wrong. The adrenaline and rage energy is much more tiring than you expect, so switching out every few minutes was the perfect routine and kept the experience fun and balanced for everyone. The staff member was absolutely great and incredibly helpful in getting us ready. They made sure we were well protected and clearly explained everything before we started. There's more to the experience than just walking in and breaking things, and while there aren't many rules, the safety guidelines are important. The staff did an excellent job walking us through them so we felt comfortable, confident, and safe the entire time. There was a huge variety of items to smash: dishes, cups, bottles, computer equipment, and more. My personal favorite was grabbing the bat and swinging away. It was way more satisfying and relieving than I expected. Afterward, everyone felt amazing--like a big, fresh breath of air. I would 100% recommend Breakroom Therapy for groups, team bonding, or anyone needing a fun and effective stress release. I can't review the actual business itself or experience bc my group opted to cancel our reservation. After calling the owner and just trying to simply give customer feedback she became extremely defensive and rude. She cared more about proving points and being "right" than what I had to say. This is not an individual or place of business that I would ever attempt to rebook with. If she had been kind and led with a place of understanding then it would be different. She came off as hostile. I decided to just end the conversation bc what's the point with that type of poor communication, hostility, and being know it all. As a business owner you would think you would choose to be nicer. ‍ If I could give a zero rating based solely on her attitude I would. Side note.... Customers shouldn't have to dig around on your website to find necessary info. Be transparent at booking. Especially in text or follow up when confirming reservation. read more

My friend and I booked this after a stressful week and it was a great way to decompress! We booked the room with the package plates/glass and added the printer. It was really easy to find and a fairly simple process, and we were considering to have 3 people, but found out that you could only have 2 people in the room at a time. That would mean we would have to rotate in and that doesn't seem as fun so we opted just for the two of us. It made a lot more sense when we actually went into the room given safety reasons and we were really happy that we did it! It was hilarious to see us try to break various things and surprisingly, the bat was my favorite "smash" item to use. You have like 25 minutes to break everything with a 5 minute warning, and we definitely broke everything within 20 minutes. It was a perfect way to take out our aggression in a safe way and happy that we did it! Fun place and would come back. read more

My boyfriend had a great time here. I got this for him as a gift to "say goodbye" to the negativity he experienced in 2019 and start 2020 fresh. I got the normal plates/glass package for 1 person (40$). I booked online and they were ready for us when we arrived. You have to sign an electronic waiver but it was easy to do. My boyfriend got to put on the safety gear he felt comfortable with (a face mask and lab coat as well as gloves). I would recommend getting everything because some of the items (in particular, the wine bottles) bounce back. I watched through the window and took videos. He also was able to select what music he wanted playing while he broke stuff which I thought was a nice touch. We had 30 minutes but he was done in 15-20. You can leave the room and switch out your "tool" (hammer, bats, etc.) whenever you would like. They also have a black sharpie if you want to write something on the items before you smash it. I would encourage anyone to do this if they go. Overall, he had a great time and I had an awesome time watching. We got a "punch card" to use if we come back. I would recommend this place! The best stress reliever!!! We got a military discount which was great. We were also able to personalize the package and get the items we wanted! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful! They gave great tips and helpful hints for when in the room. You can even bring your own items (be sure to check with them to see what you can bring and the amount). I did not think this place was for me. Someone took me here, we had a group of four, 2 enter a room at a time. You are allowed 25 minutes per session. You're given the rules, they offer safety gear, all is well. O.M.G!!! What a great time!!! 25 minutes sounded like it would be too short of a time frame, but it was just fine! The event itself was GREAT. Nieces and I greatly enjoyed it, but staff were rude on many occasions. For example, we had never been to the Break Room, so we did not know that each participant would need to cart their cell phones in to individually fill out each waiver. Guy up front very rude and impatient when party had to go to car, power up phones to individually sign the waivers (why not provide a facility tablet?? That would be more time efficient). Onve assigned to room, the woman providing optional-extra-charge smashables treated me like a 10 year old when I apparently grabbed them from the wrong place ("Excuse me, but why would you grab those from the ((clean bottle)) dishrack, when there are shelves over here?"). Once done with the event a member of my party asked which bathroom would be most appropriate to use (only one we saw was back in event area). A reasonable and respectful question which was met with a rude response (looking at the customer like they were dog poop): "The only bathroom we have, of course".
