The restaurant is a very cute/retro dinner, you can see the cooks making your food with nice seating selection of either a booth or stools. The service when coming in was great, very nice and welcoming. The waitress was nice and helpful. Let's talk about the food. To be honest this might be one of the best breakfasts I have had in a while. The sausage wasn't link's but an actual patty which was super good! The eggs cooked perfectly to order and the toast was good and I'm not even a fan of toast. The hash brown's was super tasty and crunchy! 10/10 will definitely come back!

    Stuffed French toast.

Great breakfast spot! Large portions and reasonable prices . Very fast and friendly service too . Great vegetarian options.

The only negative of Breaking Bread was the wait. But it was slightly our fault, since we wanted a booth instead of sitting at the counter. After about 25 minutes we finally were seated, but the waitress took about 5 minutes to come take our drink order. What she lacked in quickness she made up for kindness though, so it was a wash. The food was fantastic. I ordered an omelet that was overloaded with chicken broccoli and cheese. The rye toast was very good as well. In addition, I added a fruit cup which you could tell had been mixed together a while ago bc it all tasted the same. My wife ordered basted eggs (they don't poach), wheat berry toast and fruit. She also got a side of yogurt which actually looked like about two servings worth. The toast was different, kind of nutty. Good though. If ever around the area, we would definitely be back. Even with the wait for seats and food (at least 15 minutes), it was all fresh, not greasy, and cheap (all that food was $17).

I love getting breakfast here when I come to visit Ellwood. The service is great and fast, and the portions are huge for a great price.

GREAT PLACE! Food is fresh and delicious. Service is also good. Can be busy on the weekends but it's worth the wait.

Marcy was incredible and honestly, she made the trip worth it. Her recommendations were spot on. We weren't going to order dessert but bc of her, we did and she was right! The food is priced at pretty common prices and you get a full plate. All well made and at the perfect temp. The bus boy was ON IT. He was so very polite and asked before taking things. Nothing unused sat for longer than a few minutes. I almost didn't go but I am very glad I did. I will return and I will be telling friends, family & followers to try this place. The castle aesthetic carries over to the inside. It was definitely a choice lol but it is rather lovely. Not your usual dining experience. Try this place. Edit to add: a group of five of us stopped in for the brunch buffet on Sunday. We made a reservation as the website states any party of five or more should make one. I was apprehensive due to past experiences of brunch buffets. Usually all the food tastes very similar and lacks seasoning. Not the case here. They had such a wide array of options. We had an extremely picky eater and they left full. The vibe was casual with just a touch of sophistication. Really happy we tried the buffet and will absolutely come again.

The steak itself was tiny and shaped more like a hamburger patty than an actual steak. For $19.95, I expected a decent meal, but instead I was left with a waste of a perfectly good cow and pure disappointment. The castle itself was really cool, though.

We started with the brussels sprouts and the salmon bites. The sprouts are your standard balsamic glazed brussels sprouts but the serving size was great! The salmon bites were probably the most underwhelming item we tried, just fine, probably would have been much better if they were cooked a little more or possibly had a different sauce, unsure but they were still good overall. The drinks we tried, millionaire something and the redline were cool twists on classic cocktails but really just ok. For brunch we got the beet salad with steak and the salmon BLT. The Salmon on the BLT was just perfect, crispy and tender at the same time; I think if the bites were cooked the same I would have enjoyed them much more. THE BEET SALAD THOUGH, it was incredible. Now I love a beet salad, but so many are so underwhelming or downright bad, this was NOT the case. It may have been the best beet salad I've had in years. Steak was cooked well but really the beets and the salad were just so well done. The greens and toppings were just all great, I can't speak highly enough of this salad. I would probably get some extra dressing on the side next time but top notch. If you like a beet salad at all you have to order this one for sure.

Through this restaurant's website, I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. Our table was available on time, and the seating hostess gave us a small table outside. I felt thankful that we were in the shade, because two other tables of customers had sun shining in their eyes. We enjoyed watching cats and horses roaming in the yard nearby. Our waitress had friendly communication but very slow service with errors. During our main course, she never checked in on us, so my husband never received salt that he needed. Furthermore, at the end of our meal, we waited a long time to receive our bill. She took our credit card and many minutes later gave us only an itemized slip, not the customer and merchant copies to sign. Many minutes later, we had to give her our credit card a second time, and she finally gave us the customer and merchant copies. My overall rating is still a positive 4 stars because the foods overall tasted very good. Our starter was the Bread Basket, which contained three types of bread--cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and focaccia with dipping oil. My main course was Pistachio Glazed Salmon, which had moist salmon, a delicious pistachio-lime-cilantro glaze, and a side of coconut rice. I chose coleslaw as my side, and it was OK. My husband's main course was the Surf & Turf, which had a 6-ounce filet mignon cooked as requested, a jumbo lump crab cake that was very meaty, and mashed potatoes. His side was a tasty butternut-squash soup. The total price was $98 plus tax and tip.
