Food is delicious every time we go & very quick service. One of my favorite breakfast spots! Staff is very friendly!

This is a fantastic find!! We were traveling and our car rental agency advised us to eat here!!! We checked with yelp and decided it was a great plan. My oh my!!! The pancakes are the best ever and they are huge! Order 1!! The breakfast special was perfectly done and delicious. The only thing better than the food was the owner and the staff/ great food, wonderful service and lots of smiles and happy people, customers and staff alike. We will be back to the area in September, and we can hardly wait to eat here again!! Oh and a small side note. Giving a one star review because it's a popular place and you came during rush hour is so unfair. Maybe a customer that rates in this manner is actually the one deserving a one star! read more

My husband and I have eaten here several times and enjoyed the food. The service was also good, however the last time we stopped was the middle of August. When we checked out, the bill came to 13.78 for a milkshake,cheeseburger, chips and drink. We thought that was kinda high but then she told us that they were going to charge us an extra dollar because our bill was under 15$. So we ended up paying 14.75 plus a tip. I've called a couple times to ask a manager of this was policy but haven't been able to reach anyone. We will NOT be going back. read more

This was a nice find in a small town the menu was awesome and the food very good. The sausage and biscuits was phenomenal. The pancakes where hanging over the plate. The service was awesome and it's small but you can not overlook eating at breaking bread. Highly recommended. read more

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The breakfast is phenomenal. The prices are perfect and the staff is friendly! My friends and family eat here together as often as we can get together! One of my favorite places for a soup and sandwich. Their smoked Gouda grilled cheese is amazing. With their ever changing selection of soups I know I'll get to pick something new and delicious. All of the food is amazing. Draw backs: they seem a bit disorganized. Eating here requires a lengthy wait time. As a busy professional with limited time for lunch, I don't eat here as much as I would like. Take out orders often take about an hour wait time with additional 15 mins to pay and checkout at pickup. I stayed in the area to go ATVing over the weekend and was not impressed with the breakfast selection given by my hotel, so I ended up here. It's a cute little place with good service, but I just have to say, coming from DC, I was SHOCKED to get an AMAZING full breakfast for TWO people for only 13 dollars! Usually order a basic breakfast. Eggs ordered scrambled and well done. For a bit more, the cook will add some onions and green peppers into your hash-browns to liven things up a bit. Excellent bread served with breakfast -- get pumpernickel swirl if they have it, even the basic white toast is higher quality than what usually finds its way onto your plate at other places. Coffee is the basic "free refills" variety. Very good service on every occasion. Muffins and some baked goods made on-site. Save some room: they're fantastic! Have tried Oreo, various peanut butter and fruit muffins and look forward to trying something new. Cook works out in the open, don't understand comments about sketchy food-prep cleanliness, it's about as clean and orderly as one would expect from a small diner's kitchen. Look at the hood above the cook. A clean hood is the best indicator for the general upkeep of the kitchen and Breaking Break sports a spotlessly clean hood. read more

I only have two things to say. First, if you can see the chef while he's cooking all the food, you SHOULD NOT see that same chef eating off the food that he is cooking. I watched at he ate a piece of food from the scrambler he was cooking for me, and that's not my idea of a good time. Second, the pancake was delicious. read more

We wanted a local place with homemade food...Honestly the best breakfast we have had as far as we can remember. The biscuit and gravy with a side of hasbrowns were amazing. My family's favorite place for breakfast and lunch. The food is always delicious. I recommend trying the homemade soups, the grilled chicken salad, or the tuna sandwich (A really unique tuna salad that is truly delicious). The bacon and milk is locally sourced, which we love as well. The atmosphere is great too--50s diner vibe. The waitresses are very sweet! Be prepared for a wait on the weekend, as it is a popular spot and a small place. read more

Went for breakfast here. They lost major points when I found pieces of chocolate chips in my blueberry pancakes. This is a major problem for people with food allergies as they clearly don't clean off their grill very well. This is going to cause a major problem for somebody. This was not an isolated incident as I have heard about this happening to someone 2 months prior to going here for my first time. I've eaten here about six times in the few months they've been open. I haven't ordered the same thing twice. The cooks know how to prepare food! Nothing has been overcooked or undercooked. Every meal has been perfectly seasoned and delicious. The only negative thing I can say is that the staff, other than the cooks, seem to be disorganized. It looks like everyone is trying to do every job, which causes some delays. I'm sure they'll work it out in time. You won't be disappointed in the food or the price. read more

Stopped here on a trip to the Pittsburgh area, and found a real gem. The wait staff was friendly, helpful, and willing to share responsibilities. The food came out pretty quickly even though it was busy, and everything was fresh and yummy. We especially liked the coffee, pancakes, stuffed French toast, and eggs. I'm going to start by saying that I am all about supporting small businesses and I have eaten in at this establishment in the past. My wife and I ordered to go this morning. When my wife went in to pick it up, the woman in the front asked RUDELY and with a smug look.. "can I help you?". My wife stated that we had a to go order and she once again, acted as if we were bothering her with our business, by saying "it's going to be a minute" with a large attitude. My wife stated that we already called it in (we thought that she was thinking that we had to place one). She responded by saying "YEAH.. it's gonna be a minute!". Then she asked "it's the large order?".. we ordered FOUR items. That's a normal size family! If you can't handle that size of an order, that's a problem in itself. She then went on to explain that her husband took the order and it's too hard to take to go orders on a weekend. NOT OUR PROBLEM. If you can't handle being busy, hire more help! Expand your space! We are giving you our business, and you are COMPLAINING. Get some manners and learn some customer service. I will NEVER go back here and I will steer everyone that I know from going as well. Such a shame. And after reading further reviews, it looks like there's some hygiene issues in the kitchen as well, even more reason to never return and spread the word. read more
