Believe it…read more I moved to Alden fully expecting to spend my mornings making coffee pilgrimages to Williamsville, Hamburg, or--if things got really desperate--Buffalo. Because let's face it: small towns are adorable, but they're not exactly known for serving up killer espresso drinks that don't taste like regret and cardboard. Enter Alden Bakery and Cafe, the local caffeine oasis that not only exceeded my expectations--it obliterated them with one perfect iced breve latte. And when I say perfect, I mean every single time. I don't have to explain what a breve is. I don't get judgmental looks like I just asked for a cheeseburger taco in a sourdough cup. They just make it--creamy, bold, beautiful--and I sip it like a queen. My friend from Jacksonville, FL visited and I took her here.
