My first time at this location. I came to catch up with my aunt here because of its central location. We came up to order and I had been hoping to get some lunch with my coffee. It's been minute since I've been to any Spot location but I was disappointed to see there was no more salad menu. There is now only a Cobb salad premade in the cooler. I can't have things in it so I decided to post pone my lunch. The woman at the counter helped me check the non dairy milk ingredients to ensure I could consume this safely. Lucky for me it was ok but it had a lot of junk, seed oils, etc, kind of disappointing. I got an iced coffee with a splash of almond milk. My aunt saw that under the menu there was a tiny flier listing smoothie flavors. It's weird that you could hardly see what it said and there was no printed out menu or sign at the counter to show the flavors. The woman at the counter rattled the options off quickly but seemed a little annoyed about being asked. My aunt settled on a flavor and we took our drinks outside. Overall the drinks were fine, nothing special. We also realized when we wrapped up there was no trash can near the outdoor tables. This Spot Coffee location stands out for me, especially the upstairs area. It has a great vibe. I don't come in regularly just for drinks, but I do come for events. They host a monthly open poetry reading called The Soulful Sip, which I really enjoy, and they've recently added open mic nights. The staff are always friendly, and the vibe is welcoming. The decor is what you'd expect from Spot, simple and comfortable. While I'm not big on coffee, I do enjoy their chai, baked goods, and smoothies! read more

Never had a bad coffee or bagel here! Even when they are very busy, my order is always correct and prompt.

The atmosphere is great, I loved the layout and menu access much better than other locations, however, the service was terrible. First, the girls behind the counter made but forgot my drink behind the counter, they were all just chatting- which happens, but I stood there for 15 minutes at the pickup counter waiting, and usually in customer service if someone is standing around you ask if that person needs anything, but things happen. What I can not stand is the Vaping behind the counter, specifically in the back where food is being prepared- specifically the blonde girl with the faded pink ponytail. You get a solid view when youre in the back upper corner, and her co workers did not seem to care and put her blue razz geek bar back in her sweatpant pocket. I really used to enjoy going to spot, but not anymore. I am aware the prices at coffee shops are always a bit more pricey than a local Tim Hortons. But any coffee enthusiast would be willing to pay a little extra for a good cup of coffee. However , this spot goes wayyyyyyyy above and beyond on their pricing, for menu items that just don't seem to be worth what they are charging. I have many examples, but I'll just share my experience today. I got a regular cup of hot black tea and 7 cookies to go. Three molasses, two peanut butter and two snickerdoodles. The cashier rang me up and said I owed $30 and some change!!! I literally nearly effin choked. Instead of making a scene, I hesitantly ran my card through the reader, gathered my purchases and left. I was in such awe that I seriously was charged that much money for some regular looking cookies that I had to go on their website just to make sure I was charged correctly. According to their website, plain regular old cookies are $3.85 EACH!!! Whaaaaaat?!? Three dollars and eighty five cents for a freaking cookie?! Although the molasses were decent, and the pb just ok- the snickerdoodles weren't even snickerdoodles!! And they were dry and hard as a rock!!! I literally left feeling violated. Bent over and Dry raped. I thought 7.50 for a urine sample sized cup of soup was ridiculous. But over $30 effin dollars for 7 cookies is simply robbery. Even the highest end bakeries in East Aurora don't charge that much for cookies!!! I won't be returning to spot. I'm done. read more

Spa coffee is located right in the heart of the village of Orchard Park and it's one of the go to spot for a nice cup of coffee, some lunch, and to get work done. After coming from a long workday, it was a treat to come here and enjoy a large, jade cloud, green tea, the breakfast wrap, and oatmeal raisin cookie. The service was absolutely spectacular. Every employee was super accommodating and super friendly. That alone will not only have me coming back here again, but make me become regular. The exposed brick interior is also very comforting comfortable and perfect to get work done. Prices are very reasonable. The tables and chairs are very comfortable and the staff always make sure that you get everything you need for an enjoyable experience. Small little coffee shop in the heart of Orchard Park. They have lots of sweets and pastries available in the front counter from rice Krispies treats, to donuts, to cheesecake. Along with their coffee selections, they offer tons of different syrups and creamers. They also offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches. My favorite is the Mike's sandwich on an everything bagel. They also have smoothies, flat breads, salads, etc. So there is something to eat for anyone! It's one of my favorite places to bring my laptop to work on homework and enjoy a coffee and a snack. read more

Um no. Let's start off with the basics. Parking - this is a major pain. Lots of restrictions from other businesses near by. They have this weird one way ally. There is no way this place could handle the parking needed to fill half the restaurant up. I think there is like 5 real spots available. Inside - very grandiose. Local art. Second floor overlooking the main area. Very rustic vibe. Seating is falling apart (see photo), to me this is simply unacceptable. The station for sweeteners is way to small and doesn't offer much room to work on and was filthy. I was so bother I cleaned it up myself. Coffee- no cold brew? Really? Ok. A simple latte was over six dollars which is more expensive than Starbucks. If it was better than Starbucks, I would understand and gladly pay the price, but that's not the case. Also, the cup was very flimsy put together as the lid was easily separated from the actual cup, a disaster waiting to happen. Again at the price... Unacceptable. There seemed to be more food options than coffee. Not sure what the goal is here. Service- no drive thru? Check. Not calling your name or order number when the drink is done? Check. One person working the drink creation station and working the register? Check. All on a Saturday afternoon? Check. Im not sure about the food, everyone there was ordering a drink. Very quiet. Almost like a library. In the end this place is a hard pass even though I live less than 2 mins away from it. There is no real energy in the place. This place needs an overhaul bad. Get some music in there. Get workers that smile and are more fun. This place should see an avg Dutch brothers in action and make notes. Im kinda surprised that it's still open. Food options for a cafe are better than some other local cafes and overall are pretty consistent and tasty, for college student though, the options are a bit expensive. The salad they give with most wraps and sandwiches is literally a handful of mixed greens with clumpy refrigerated dressing. Unfortunately the food may come with shards of glass in it. Unsure as to how a wrap was made like that but that's not for me to say. Aside from the cost and occasional food prep mishap, all the local spots have friendly and welcoming staff, are pretty well kept and boast better coffee than their food. The layout is unique to each place and each spot boasts its own unique place to sit and read a good book. Charging for tech is limited. Overall, not bad a little bit overpriced for food, just would like to not eat pieces of glass. read more

This is definitely my favorite of the Spot locations I've visited. Parking is easy; the staff is friendly; and the mugs are too cute. I'm all about featuring local neighborhoods. What I like most about this location is the layout. The two-floor set up allows for a cozier, warmer feel than some of the other locations. After having two orders of a kids grilled cheese returned because mayonnaise was put on one and honey mustard was put on another, I proceeded downstairs for the second time to ask for the right item. The manager was kind enough to take the second mistaken order from me and apologize. Unfortunately, as I stood waiting for the third try at a plain grilled cheese, one of the employees shouted at me from the kitchen to put on a mask. My mask was worn into the restaurant and was at my table. I neglected to grab it as I make my way up and down the flight of stairs for the third time. Before I could explain that my mask was upstairs at my table, the child in the kitchen told me that wearing a mask is a law abs that if I don't immediately put one on, he is calling the police. Aggravated by his attitude and inconvenience of having to order the same item three times, i suggested that he call the police. When the manager gave me the third sandwich, she apologized and I thought the day was going to proceed as normal. As we left 20 minutes later, this disrespectful employees, in front of the entire restaurant and my family, called me a "punk ass bitch" and proceeded to tell me that he will never serve me again. The manager kept asking him to stop, but he wouldn't. I feel bad for the manager who tried to make everything right, and bad for his parents. Good coffee but the main problem with this place is that they simply refuse to fix their WiFi. Since covid a lot of us work from home and need to escape to a coffee shop to work around other folks. We've asked numerous times for them to fix the WiFi and it's still not working well to this day (at any location). Very unfortunate because the coffee shops are cute and cozy. read more

Spot Coffee in Orchard Park has been a favorite place for years for me to meet a friend for coffee and a bite. But it needs some attention. Much of the furniture is missing it's top layer, the hanging lights are covered in thick dust, the tables never seem to get wiped off, except when you do it yourself before you sit down , and it just is not very clean. Decided to check out a different, closer to home SPoT Coffee location since my long overdue visit to the SPoT location on Elmwood. This location at first glance looks quaint and on the small side in comparison, but there are a couple small tables and some cozy seats for you to relax and recharge your caffine batteries. Staff was super welcoming and took the time to explain the coffee and brand to me a bit. Food is definately on the super pricy side but I really like the fact that you order your drink and there is a nearby station to add sugar, cream and misc items to your drinks and foods. Very cool SPoT Coffee, very cool. Upon inquiring more about this location I was told there beans come from a local roaster on Delaware here in Buffalo but one may also purchase beans at each location respectively. I like that, as I do have a machine at home and enjoy different roasts! Also in talking with staff I was directed to the second floor area which was the same size as the downstairs floor but was just a huge seating area, with tables and chairs and in the corners, I found very cozy 2 seat nooks facing the windows which looked super warm and welcoming. You can expect to find several local newspapers such as the ARTVOICE and THE PUBLIC as well as a couple others to keep occupied as you get your fix of caffine and the ambience is low key and on the more quiet end then the hustling more downtown locations. I enjoy coming here don't get me wrong, although because it is so open between the bottom and top floor it is very loud most times. I like that it has more seating options on the second floor, but there is no ceiling, so you can hear everything. A lot of people are usually inside and it makes it hard to come here to work away from home or even hanging out with some friends. Also do not come after school hours, so many MS/ HS OP kids come and hang out and aren't exactly respectful of the people around them. read more

SPOT Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops, especially the Orchard Park location. I frequent it quite often. The atmosphere is very warm and the exposed wood beams upstairs lend to reminding you as you sip your coffee that this is a historic building. Besides their plain ol' coffee, I have a couple drinks that I come back to as regulars: the Mocha Shake and the hot mocha (coffee and chocolate were just meant to go together, my friends). I can't say anything for the plain milk versions, but the soy milk versions are on point. I had the regular mocha today, and I can say that SPOT does it right. It's perfectly creamy with the right balance of chocolate and espresso. And let me tell you, SPOT's espresso is good--it's smooth and doesn't leave any burnt or bitter feelings in your mouth. I don't often order their food but I have tried two items: the Hummus Plate and a roasted veggie sandwich special. The Hummus Plate is alright and provides a pretty decent portion; the hummus itself is a bit sour which I'm not a huge fan of, but the texture is really great (it's a little bit chunky, not the one-textured smoothness you get from a store bought package). If you're ever in the Buffalo/Rochester area, specifically Orchard Park, I'd highly recommend a stop in. read more

I work at a coffee shop out of town, but stopped at Spot while home for the Buffalo nostalgia. As much as I wanted to love Spot, my order was unpalatable. My mocha latte was steamed like a dry cappuccino at barely 90 degrees. It tasted like plain milk, I didn't taste any chocolate or espresso whatsoever. Needless to say, I'll be sticking with Tim Hortons when I'm in town where I would've paid half the price for a more flavorful, water-based latte. (I went on 12/29 around noon.) read more

Nice place to stop I guess. It's noisy. During the day, there's the moms that meet up and their kids are young- so they are noisy. Evening, there's the other groups that don't have skills of using the sufficient volume that can be heard by someone at the same table. The desserts, eh, some are dry some are good. After going to all of the spot coffees in the area, this Spot Coffee was built for an Orchard Park crowd. From what I'm told this is the first "franchise" that was sold and it has definitely deviated from the original style of all the other spot coffee's in Buffalo. I think Spot has "sold out" from it's original roots. As they say, "Money changes everything." The food and coffee are all the same from the other locations. The inside definitely reminds me of Elm Street Bakery in East Aurora. I think the long staircase is a liability waiting to happen. read more

Ok Spot, Kudos on upgrading from House Recipe ketchup to Heinz. Although I didn't get the pizza I did catch a glimpse and they do look better. I might try one again in the future... However, I keep trying and giving you all the chances I can, but you keep letting me down. Today, I arrived at noon and waited in line while the person working the register (shift manager from what I can gather) was too concerned with ringing out tips for the tip jar than taking customers orders. Not a good start. People in line clearly frustrated. Second, I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich (no pesto aioli) and a latte. After waiting close to 20 minutes I finally got my sandwich and latte - at the same time. Please teach your barista how to steam enough milk and pull enough shots to make multiple drinks at the same time. There was no room to stand so many irritated people were waiting for drinks. Sandwich was wrong, not only did it have the aioli on it, but it was smothered! When I told the shift manager she proceeded to lecture me on how there is pesto in the chicken and also in the aioli and that I was confused. Her delivery persuaded a "stupid customer" attitude and rather than explaining to her what aioli was I got my money back. Yet another let down and from looking around the room it's obvious I'm not the only one...focus on the customer experience because right now it's lacking. read more

Would have loved to given them more stars, but other then the beautiful restoration to the building, they need to get their act together. I have given them numerous attempts to deliver good service since I work within walking distance, but to no avail. They are so pathetically slow that it took literally 20 minutes to get oatmeal. And it was INSTANT for $4. I've tried to order ahead, no use. They make you wait in the insanely slow line to pay, so didn't make a bit of difference.
