First time here but a big fan of their beer. Pretty small place in a great location. Stopped in for a beer and a snack around 2pm. Maybe 6 other people here with one staff. We ordered the chips with pico and guacamole and a beer. The beer was excellent as expected and the $8 chips with pico and guac (large portion) didn't disappoint. I'd definitely come back.

This is Breakside, so the beer is good. My review is about the sandwich I'm eating. Their version of the club is fantastic. Lots of layers of flavor. The bread is delicious with the right amount of crunch. Come down and take the taste.

We stopped by here for a quick beverage after dinner as some of our friends wanted ice cream next door. The interior isn't as large as their other locations. I've always been a fan of Breakside as I enjoy their food. The employee working here was kind enough to serve us a drink as it was getting close to closing time.

Another brewery to hit up. Got the cider again. Not bad. Tried my girdfriends IPA, was okay. I'm not an IPA fan so this review is based on service, the inside, and my cider.

Giant pretzel with cheese and mustard

I was out with my family and happened upon this place while googling places for lunch in Lake Oswego. The first picture that popped up was their Bavarian pretzel and we were instantly sold! We tried both the pretzel and nacho, both being delicious. The pretzel is served with beer mustard and a smoked gouda/swiss cheese dipping sauce. It was soft, not too salty and I loved the cheese. The nacho was just as good with a lot of toppings. Both good portions, definitely enough for two. There are many beers to choose from, but they have a small menu. It is a nice space with seating inside and out. Overall I enjoyed the food and beer, would go back.

Such a cool and fun atmosphere. I didn't notice any food but there was a bunch of restaurants around there. It's more of a beer, drink and hang out place Had 2 beers and bought a camouflage hat.

A great plave to be on a Sunday! My hubby and I had some free tome around 2:30 on a Sunday in LO, and decided to check out the Breakside spot! It is right next to Salt & Straw- so that could be a great detour from beer! And the staff is very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend ordering the pretzel!

Chicken added to the garden salad. YUCK

Come for the drinks, avoid the food. I ordered the garden salad with chicken and the meat they use tasted like a rubbery sponge. It is exactly the same chicken meat you buy pre-cooked and seasoned from Tyson's at the grocery store. It was so gross.

Breakside is the pinnacle of Portland brewing. This little outlet in Lake Oswego is the bodega to the larger Mothership locations. There's only two sandwiches, but they're amazing. Only one bartender, Andrew, but he's the best. Only 12 beers, but each one is an absolute banger. Location is unmatched. Everyone who works here truly cares about the craft of the beer and the food and it shows.

    IPA and pretzel!

Great spot in downtown Lake Oswego next door to Salt & Straw. My wife goes for ice cream and I get to stop in for a pint. It's a taproom, so plenty of beers on tap. There is a limited menu for food, but our two favorite Breakside items are both available -- the pork nachos and of course giant pretzel! I'm an IPA guy and there are several options and usually a few seasonals. This is our go to spot for a quick snack and drink.

The team here is great. All breakside brews are good, but this team knows their customers, handles everything super well considering their small kitchen, and gets people coming back. Come for the beer. Come back for the food!

Growing up, I spent a fair amount of time around fire stations…read more My Dad was a firefighter. As a kid, that meant climbing around the trucks, knowing the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine, screwing around in the long-gone handball court down at Station 1, and thinking firefighters were basically superheroes. Strong. Brave. Fearless. And sporting absolutely bad ass mustaches. (For those of you who don't know, a fire truck carries the ladders, and a fire engine carries the hose. Trust me, firefighters are very particular about the distinction. They're also surprisingly proud of hose size. Honestly, who doesn't want to ride in the vehicle with all the hose.) There was a period in American history where every firefighter looked like he was either fighting a five-alarm blaze or auditioning to be the next Dirk Diggler. Thick. Powerful. The kind of mustache that could put out a five-alarm blaze and still have enough left in the tank to offer free mustache rides to the neighborhood ladies. It was magnificent. So, when I heard pFriem was opening a brewery in Milwaukie's old firehouse, I knew I had to check it out. Not for the mustache rides, mind you. At this stage in life, I'm not offering them for free and I'm not looking to ride one. Not in this economy. The old firehouse has been transformed into an incredible space. Too many historic buildings get remodeled into something so generic that it could just as easily be a bank, the office for the city of Milwaukie, or a luxury apartment leasing center. Or they become a McMenamins. Not this place. The massive doors, high ceilings, and creative use of the firepole (without turning it into a strip club)...it still retains some of the charming characteristics of a firehouse. Just one where the emergency now involves deciding whether my liver can handle one more pint. And speaking of beer, pFriem is pFriem. Easily one of my top 5 favorite breweries. Plus, the food is excellent. Years ago, firefighters gathered here waiting for the next alarm. Later it became city offices, which is admittedly a less exciting use of a firehouse. Today, people gather here for great beer, good food, and conversation. Honestly, that's a pretty great third act for an old building. Five stars. Still no mustache rides, though.

Hands down better than Applebee's Returned today for happy hour and John was workin the bar and he offered me a new beer to taste. I ended up choosing the one I liked the first time in. She said she's never been married but she knew that someone saying that to you is as close to marriage as she's gotten, in working this job. Unfortunately my friend had to abruptly leave and we waited a few minutes to try to get the check but despite it being really really dead the server took FOREVER to get there!! That was why my score went down. The beers were great and the food was too. But the service wasn't. It was okay at best. Pretty disappointed. Because it's a super cute spot. I'd definitely go back.

Flavors to find in this beer are kind of a light buttery flavor (diacetyl), a natural sweetness, maltiness along with a clean finish.
