While the mission is meaningful, my experience exposed serious policy and procedural gaps that homeowners should understand before participating. When a major issue developed in my home, I contacted HomeSharing for support. I was told they could not assist because both parties were considered their clients. This left me without mediation, guidance, or intervention during a situation that ultimately required about $20,000 in legal fees to resolve. Earlier in my involvement, I was introduced to a potential seeker who disclosed a compromised medical condition that had already required hospitalization and rehabilitation. I declined the match due to safety concerns, but the experience raised questions about how placements were screened and whether the organization's policies adequately protect both parties. I also discovered that two people had been placed in my home despite a town ordinance allowing only one. This should have been caught through basic procedural checks. The Lease Agreement offered by HomeSharing did not provide the level of protection I expected, and in my case, it did not help prevent or resolve the situation. I served on the organization's Board for a period of time but chose to resign after these events. Based on my personal experience, I no longer feel comfortable recommending HomeSharing.

The first week of November we were contacted by DVRS to hand in my son's IDs, Social Security cards, and fill out medical release forms. We handed them in the same day. Fast-forward to March 2025, They started seeing two of my sons in the high school every once in a while. My youngest son was doing virtual meetings which he told was told he would be paid for, but never was. His counselor missed the last four out of the last five meetings. We had found him a summer job and hoped that Moceans would do that as his internship. I was told her supervisor approved it. so I gave the information but we never heard back from them. I reached out in June and in July of 2025. Then we hunted them down to be told, two of your kids can wait until next year and your third son can fill out a packet of papers again. This place should be ashamed of themselves and I'm gonna let everybody I know to steer clear of them! They give empty promises to disabled people. My sons are 16, 18 and 20 years old. Not one son has actually got an internship after all the effort we put in. They say wait till next year, but how can I trust you after you just did all this crazy nonsense for the last year. My kids are beyond devastated and disappointed.

Not only did Christian make sure to play every song we wanted to hear, but he also made sure to not play all the songs we didn't want to hear, which in my opinion is just as important. Christian and his amazing team covered everything from sound during the ceremony, to music during the cocktail hour, and was also the perfect emcee for the evening. You must make a reservation online, and you have a 1.5 hour time slot. Splash pads can get packed on a hot day, so this was a great way to control the crowd. Once your time is up there's an enormous playground right next door. There is so much to see and do that you could easily spend hours here without getting bored. Overall this is a fantastic township recreation area. It's clean and well-maintained, and there are endless play options for kids.

The trails are perfect for walking your furry dogs, in-line skating, cycling, easy walking and pushing strollers. There is also a repair station with a tire pump and tools found near the basketball courts. The Challenger Place has finally finished and is a designed playground for kids who are blind or visually impaired. Their sport courts include tennis and basketball courts, as well as an in-line skating rink. The athletic field is available for rental and may be used for baseball games but not for practices. I have heard they have swimming pools but I personally did not see it. Instead, I saw a spray ground (water-enhanced playground) which was to open in mid-May but given our current situation with the COVID-19 outbreak, this is doubtful for mid-May 2020 due to the pandemic restrictions. Normally, it would open mid-May through early September. I would imagine the busiest time to be there with kids is during the height of summer because summer camps are held there by the Monmouth County Park System and Challenged Youth Sports from Middletown.
