This company is awful! They came to clean both fireplaces and spray painted the inside and I asked over and over to cover and they said nothing needed to be covered. Once all settled I had black all over my furniture the floors and walls. I called and they would not do anything. I will never use this company again. read more

The manager personally came out to my residence figured out the issue I was having, purposed the solution and fixed it. It's been 6 months and still no problem. We just recently bought a new house which was built in 1979 with a wood burning fireplace original to the home. Naturally prior to use we decided to call Clean Deans Chimney Sweep service for an inspection and cleaning. We called and got an appointment the same week, which was great. The service tech was late to the appointment time frame, but we didn't mind that much since it wasn't that far behind however that was when the pleasant experiences ended. The tech stuck his head up the chimney from the fireplace and saw that the flue was rusted, which I've looked and it is. Afterward said that the whole firebox and chimney needed to be replaced and quoted a huge number of 10,000 to replace. After that he went onto the roof and it turns out the chimney topper didn't need any work done, so now the story changes and maybe we only need the firebox replaced. He charged the amount for an inspection and refused to clean the chimney since he said it would be unsafe to do so. Does that so far warrant a one star review probably not. However since then we've contacted other companies in the area and they've all said that the quoted number was way too high, but I can't defend Clean Deans on the number if it was too high or not because we never got a quote like the tech said we would. Those other companies have all had negative things to say about Clean Deans, which we were surprised about because there would have to be a lot of upset customers who would have been talking with these other companies for them to even been saying these things. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and call them back and tell them of our experience to see if there was anything that could be done and this is the part that warrants the one star, which we would give less if we could. We called and expressed frustration with the experience and spoke about the quote that we never received in case we would want to get the unit replaced or at least see what our options were. The woman on the phone said that we could talk to the manager Bill, who was busy at the time and would have to call back. After getting Bill on the phone we talked about our experience about never having received the quote to get the firebox replaced and that we were frustrated about having to go out and get another inspection since other experts in the same field were refusing to recommend Clean Deans to their customers because of bad service and incorrect information given. Bill was very firm on their stance, and said we do need the firebox replaced after looking at the two pictures the technician took on his phone but never offered another company to complete the service as he said his tech should have done. He spoke to us in a condescending manner as though we didn't know what we were talking about, never offered an apology and quite obviously got frustrated with us by telling us he saved us from a house fire and accused us of wanting free service and then continued to ask if we would go to a car dealership and ask for free service there (again, we never once asked for a refund). All and all we were amazed at the lack of professionalism and customer service at the management level and would NEVER recommend Clean Deans to anyone looking for chimney upkeep/repair. read more

Job done by Avery & Earl. They Cleaned all HVAC ducts, returns, coils & furnace units (2 units) in addition to dryer vent. Very professional & thorough, showed up on time and careful to clean up after the job. Pulled a dead bird from dryer vent -- possibly preventing some big issues in future. Called to get a routine chimney sweep - our house was built in the 50s and I wasn't sure the soundness of the chimney. The service attendant was professional, thorough and left everything very clean! He gave us a full assessment of where there were opportunities to increase the safety of our chimney along with any quotes for repair. He was open to say there were less expensive options, and the pros and cons of each. read more

Don't ask too many questions! They will drop you like a rock. I had a quote for chimney work and was abandoned apparently because they did not have a good answer for a specific question. Pretty odd. I sure wont use them or recommend them. read more
