They only have one bathroom, though, so be sure to give yourself extra time to use it before your appointment. The massage beds were heated, and both of our massages were clearly personalized with unique techniques. I didn't even realize I had knots in my chest, and the way she worked on my shoulder blades was unreal. We both agreed this was one of the best massages we've had in the past year. All of our friends also had great experiences, so I highly recommend getting a massage here if you're in the area.

We booked a 90-minute duet (couples massage). My husband had Alyssa, and she did an incredible job with pressure--he usually leaves massages saying it wasn't firm enough, but this time he said it was perfect. I got a couples massage at the Grand America Salt Lake City a few months ago, so I had to compare that with my experience with the massage at St. Regis. Which place did it better...I would have Grand America over Remede at St. Regis. The massage was good but not good enough to say I'd go back to get a couples massage there again for what we paid. I felt my left side didn't get as much attention as my right side. There was a tub there but not for use at all for couples massage. At Grand America there isn't a tub but you and your guest get to shower under 16 shower heads for a few minutes before doing the massage. The Remede spa has a lot more light snacks (nuts, fruit bars, chocolate bites) water, and other niceties than at Grand America. Spa attendants were wonderful but if you're going to drop some serious cash for luxury spa massage, I'd go to Grand America instead and while still expensive, not as expensive as Remede for the massage experience. Remede offers 50, and 80 minutes. Grand America offers 50, 80 and 2 hours for couples massage. Something to consider if you're considering couples massage.

The food is unreal, the vibes are immaculate, and the whole place somehow makes you feel both cozy and wildly fancy at the same time. You can come in hiking boots or heels and still feel like a legend. Also hot tip for my fellow Utahns, they offer a local discount if you stay overnight. I know, amazing! Just call and ask. Suddenly a five-star stay sounds a lot more justifiable when you're "supporting the local economy." So whether you're planning an epic date night, pretending you're a celebrity for the day, or just trying to live your best wine-by-the-fire life, Stein Eriksen absolutely delivers. Ten out of ten would become a regular if my budget allowed it.

Unfortunately the locker rooms and steam shower were unavailable (and disappointing) for this visit, but the treatment room is plenty large and comfortable for changing before your service. I hung out in the Fireside Lounge area until Cosette was ready for me. She was fantastic! I carry a lot of tension and soreness in my neck and shoulders and she did a great job of working them out over the course of the 80 minutes. All around a great experience. Really the only complaint I have is not being able to book the massage with the discount through the website. In this age of constant conference calls, it would have been nice to take care of this electronically.

Not sure why the esthetician didn't put anything under my eyes to protect my skin from the dye. They also only dyed the top lashes, not the bottom. So weird. The only downside is that they automatically include a 22% gratuity. I understand including a base 10% gratuity with the option to add on depending on your experience, but it did feel a bit unreasonable.

She is not only a delight to spend time with but also does a wonderful job with cleaning, massaging and painting. What really confused me about my experience was the general lack of warm reception, little effort to encourage relaxation and comfort and especially the sketchy pricing. I was excited to be given a voucher by the hotel for a discount off a service but was charged for a more expensive service than what I received with a confusing explanation and ultimately ended up paying equal if not more. Overall I think my time with Julie was totally awesome but I've left moderately surprised and uneasy about the holistic experience, feeling mildly taken advantage of. Convenient but get costs up front and not a particularly luxurious experience.
