It's also next to a beautiful park if you want to walk around. The only bad thing is it needs more trees. I had to check the map to find it. If you didn't know, Scioto Audubon Metro Park is massive. The dog park is located at the end of Maier Road. It's the road off to the right on Whittier Street when you get to the park. The road goes up and makes several turns past the climbing wall. It finally gets to the dog park where there's a parking lot. There's a single port-o-potty which is usually occupied. I like the Metro Parks in Columbus, so I would come to Scioto Audubon Dog Park again. It's not a big park, which means it often gets busy. The location is great though so that's the best thing.

I really want to highlight that there is so much space here, all fenced in, and it is so open and vast. It is really nice. This has to be the dog park with the most space we have been to in the Columbus area. It has both a large and small dog section and there were only 10-15 dogs. This visit there was a batch of larger, uncontrolled dogs in the small dog section. We ended up just going to the larger dog section since it didn't look safe, and the larger space was perfect. Can't wait to take our girl back to this location. Downside is that there is not any shade and I would suggest a blanket to relax on.

It's located at Three Creeks Metro Park near Groveport. If you go the first time know it's located in the northern area of it. This is one of the biggest in the system so it may be hard to know exactly which roads to use. It's located off Watkins Road at the bend. There's also a picnic area nearby. I like Three Creeks Dog Park because it's so big. It's almost never busy and there's plenty of room. The park could use some more shade.

This is not just a dog park. It's a trailhead, and in fact, the main sign just says that, with dog…read morepark as an addendum. It is a nice big dog park, too. There's a big parking lot, and access to the rail trail. I'm not a big fan of those, because they are pretty much flat and boring. But, flat can be good, especially for bicycles, and they are pleasant, and a good reuse of land. This one has lots of expansion joints, most of which need repaved, but generally the surface is smooth. There are occasional trash cans and benches. You cross a few roads, so be careful. But it's a great place to ride, and if you want a straightaway to develop some speed it's perfect.

There is an informational board and a port-a-potty available, along with a trailhead for a Bridle Trail. The dog park itself is good-sized and is separated into two sections: small and large dogs. There were some grass and some gravel areas inside, and it didn't seem excessively muddy at the time of our visit. There were some benches and a little shelter available, some equipment, and a hill. It seemed popular, and the dogs looked like they were having fun!

The Barktenders in bright vests greet you and your dog by name, and you can hear them on the radios calling out each pup's arrival and departure, with a secure double gate (both of which have been reinforced, with an added audio signal when the gate is opened) adding peace of mind at the entrance. They don't just stand on the sidelines; they're in the park interacting with the dogs, keeping them engaged and helping redirect energy when play gets a bit too hyped. If a dog needs a break, they're moved to a smaller enclosed area to reset and calm down with a Barktender sitting right next to them. The park itself is spotless and thoughtfully set up: faux grass so no one goes home muddy, play areas free from poop thanks to constant cleanup and respectful members, fresh water always available, a long leash wall right when you walk in, and seating placed so you have clear sight lines to your dog from every angle. There are trash and compost bins exactly where you expect them, plus a semi-enclosed heated area so humans can warm up while the dogs keep running. Every visit wraps up with a complimentary pup cup, and yes--your dog will quickly figure out that this is part of the Bumble's ritual. On top of the basics, Bumble's goes all in on community: dog birthday parties, person-and-pup yoga, book clubs, "Fetch Night," and OSU Buckeye "tailgate" events make it easy to stick around and actually enjoy being there. What really sold me was our first visit. Before we entered the main park, a Barktender invited us into a smaller area for temperament testing and spent about 10 minutes walking me through how everything works--where the bags, trash cans, and hoses are, and how the community rules keep the park friendly, safe, and incredibly clean. It genuinely feels like a responsible, caring community built for dog lovers who expect more. We keep coming back because Lauryn, Evan, and the whole Bumble's team make us feel like we're part of something special (more than anyone I've ever met - they truly care about dogs) --and that "something" is really, really good.

The entire park was covered in dog and duck poop -- it was absolutely disgusting. There was even waste inside the gated area, which is unacceptable. It's clear that most visitors do not clean up after their dogs, and there seems to be no maintenance or supervision of the area. On top of that, there were no dogs actually playing in the park. Instead, we saw people sitting in their cars smoking, and teens walking around openly carrying alcohol. This park does not feel safe or clean. Please think twice before bringing your dog here. We won't be coming back.

There's two parking lots for the dog park, the one I parked at was a bit of a walk to the entrance but the other one is super close to the lot if you don't feel like walking. The only thing about the entrances is they aren't closed in so you have to open the gate and go into the actual dog park to take your pups leash off. Nothing too major. I also didn't see doggy bags at the entrance I went into. I brought my own but still, sad there aren't a few more through the area or along the edges. Only a few trees which is nice but pretty sure they have acorns which dogs shouldn't really eat but my dog was occupied by playing so it wasn't bad. No real toy areas or training toys for the dogs but it's a nice, big, and clean park. I'll be back for sure!

It is maintained in conjunction with the German Village Garten Club, which really shows in the lovely landscaping. There is a pergola, potted plants, and a lot of nice touches like a sundial. Several benches and picnic tables are available in the park. During our recent visit, it still looked decked out for the holiday season - a lot of the plants had some nice ornaments and decorations. It is very walkable if you're in the area, or there is street parking available.

It's a great little place to stop, sit and enjoy some peace and quiet in a small corner of German Village. It's especially nice when you are trying to stumble down the road after an evening at the Beck Tavern. And you know what else I think? This is what I would want my back yard to look like if I had a back yard and I could afford to have someone else do all the work.
