Well out in the countryside, with a big pond and several smaller wetland areas. Observation paths and decks for each. Parking and facilities at the main entrance, plus parking on the other side of the pond, and two smaller picnic areas up the road, with observation areas and shelters. One had a workout area, but not quite the playground we wanted. I didn't see bike paths, which is another feature I like in a park. But that's not really the purpose of this one- they're preserving the wetlands, and keeping human impact to a minimum.

They've got great spots for birdwatching and taking walks around to see everything. When you first pull in, there is a gravel parking area, a port-a-potty, and a few picnic tables in a grassy area overlooking a newly added pond/waterfall set-up. In addition to the pond area looking very nice, it was designed by an environmental agency to safely bring the stormwater into the natural stream flowing through the area, so it's very functional too. One trailhead takes you into the state preserve area. No dogs are allowed on this trail, so you'll want to stick to the city park side if you bring your four-legged friends. During the spring, this preserve becomes full of vernal pools and spring wildflowers - so dress for mud and boots will come in handy! There are some nice boardwalks to get you over the worst of the areas. It's very pretty and peaceful, and there are tons of spring peepers (little frogs) singing during the spring too. It's a short loop trail that is pretty easy to do. Across the parking lot, there is a trailhead for the city park trail system, which seemed to be a little more convoluted then the more direct loop set-up in the state preserve, but it made for some nice, low-key exploration. Part of the trail follows along the stream. I really loved how they used their old wooden street signs to line the trail - great recycling! This section of the park is open to dogs. A great park - we easily did both sections in about an hour, even given that we were slowing down in places to get through the worst of the muddy/slick areas.

There is one specific trail that is dog friendly and it's either a half-mile loop or a whole mile depending on the direction you go. I very infrequently run into other people out here which is what makes it so nice. It does tend to be very muddy so I actually keep a specific pair of trail walking shoes in the car to change into. It's also quite mosquito-y, especially really early in the morning, so be sure to wear your bug spray. But the calmness of the forest and sounds of the cicadas in the late summer is my most favorite thing in the world. I'm so please to have this little bit of paradise so close to home and work. Whoever is in charge of maintenance does a really nice job keeping the trails clear and mulched. There is also very little trash and for the most part, other dog owners seem to do a pretty good job of keeping their dog's poops picked up. Although, I have bagged a few piles that were not Gwen's. I just can't, in good conscience, leave turds in the middle of the trail. Come on people, be responsible!

The entire park was covered in dog and duck poop -- it was absolutely disgusting. There was even waste inside the gated area, which is unacceptable. It's clear that most visitors do not clean up after their dogs, and there seems to be no maintenance or supervision of the area. On top of that, there were no dogs actually playing in the park. Instead, we saw people sitting in their cars smoking, and teens walking around openly carrying alcohol. This park does not feel safe or clean. Please think twice before bringing your dog here. We won't be coming back.

There's a nice size area for the bigger dogs and a smaller section for the smaller dogs. I wasn't a huge fan of all the geese and goose poop but there's a pound so you can't really do much there and it was minimal on the actually dog area. There's two parking lots for the dog park, the one I parked at was a bit of a walk to the entrance but the other one is super close to the lot if you don't feel like walking. The only thing about the entrances is they aren't closed in so you have to open the gate and go into the actual dog park to take your pups leash off. Nothing too major. I also didn't see doggy bags at the entrance I went into. I brought my own but still, sad there aren't a few more through the area or along the edges. Only a few trees which is nice but pretty sure they have acorns which dogs shouldn't really eat but my dog was occupied by playing so it wasn't bad. No real toy areas or training toys for the dogs but it's a nice, big, and clean park. I'll be back for sure!

It's also next to a beautiful park if you want to walk around. The only bad thing is it needs more trees. I had to check the map to find it. If you didn't know, Scioto Audubon Metro Park is massive. The dog park is located at the end of Maier Road. It's the road off to the right on Whittier Street when you get to the park. The road goes up and makes several turns past the climbing wall. It finally gets to the dog park where there's a parking lot. There's a single port-o-potty which is usually occupied. I like the Metro Parks in Columbus, so I would come to Scioto Audubon Dog Park again. It's not a big park, which means it often gets busy. The location is great though so that's the best thing.

The Barktenders in bright vests greet you and your dog by name, and you can hear them on the radios calling out each pup's arrival and departure, with a secure double gate (both of which have been reinforced, with an added audio signal when the gate is opened) adding peace of mind at the entrance. They don't just stand on the sidelines; they're in the park interacting with the dogs, keeping them engaged and helping redirect energy when play gets a bit too hyped. If a dog needs a break, they're moved to a smaller enclosed area to reset and calm down with a Barktender sitting right next to them. The park itself is spotless and thoughtfully set up: faux grass so no one goes home muddy, play areas free from poop thanks to constant cleanup and respectful members, fresh water always available, a long leash wall right when you walk in, and seating placed so you have clear sight lines to your dog from every angle. There are trash and compost bins exactly where you expect them, plus a semi-enclosed heated area so humans can warm up while the dogs keep running. Every visit wraps up with a complimentary pup cup, and yes--your dog will quickly figure out that this is part of the Bumble's ritual. On top of the basics, Bumble's goes all in on community: dog birthday parties, person-and-pup yoga, book clubs, "Fetch Night," and OSU Buckeye "tailgate" events make it easy to stick around and actually enjoy being there. What really sold me was our first visit. Before we entered the main park, a Barktender invited us into a smaller area for temperament testing and spent about 10 minutes walking me through how everything works--where the bags, trash cans, and hoses are, and how the community rules keep the park friendly, safe, and incredibly clean. It genuinely feels like a responsible, caring community built for dog lovers who expect more. We keep coming back because Lauryn, Evan, and the whole Bumble's team make us feel like we're part of something special (more than anyone I've ever met - they truly care about dogs) --and that "something" is really, really good.

Four nice sized pens! Two are really large/huge runs/pens, too! In the middle of the two large pens is a small dog pen with lots of trees, a few agility structures and in front of that is a pen dedicated to agility. There are benches to sit at inside each pen. The larger pens with no trees have a sun shelter. And so much parking!!!!! There is a pavilion, water fountains, basketball court and a playground as well.
