Whoa, and we were warned. We thought we were one of the very few who had no issues with Breezeline. We are paying for it now. Internet went out at noon yesterday. I chose chat to communicate with them since their phone system insists on you providing your account number and PIN in order to speak with anyone (I set up our account 4 years ago and cannot access it online, so, yea, I don't have that info at my fingertips and I do not have a PIN; we are on auto-pay, so I never receive a bill with an account # written on it). NO OTHER COMPANY requires this. Promises, promises: Over 24 hours later and the best we can get is a tech coming out in OVER A WEEK! I'm using my iphone as a hotspot right now, but have no access to Onedrive on my desktop computer, which happens to be where I keep everything. I've got bills to pay, too. This company appears to do everything in its power NOT to provide customer service. Now I understand why so many people complain that they have a hard time canceling. I was told that I MUST call in order to get access to my account online. Wait times were most recently "72 minutes." Who has the time to do that, especially at work?! What year is this, Breezeline? Once we cancel, we will never look back. What a shame! read more

Horrible customer service and zero solutions to cable issues. Can't understand a single word the representative was saying. I believe I reached someone in another country to assist me with getting my cable box to work properly. I actually felt sorry for the guy because he had no idea how to help me. He was reading from a script I believe. Really bad business. I have not seen one review over 1 star which is insane but I am not surprised. My Breezeline internet service is terrible and I cannot reliably have a video call for work without freezing. It's extremely difficult to reach a customer service agent to address any technical issues. I called customer service and after going through a "doom loop" of recorded messages about resetting my modem, got cut off (with no call backs) twice. I ended up speaking with four different agents. This is the only provider that services my area. If I could get internet through another provider I would. They started to connect an apartment on my property and then just never came back to finish after breaking ground. If you have an opportunity to use another service , please do. We had an outage in St Michaels Md due to a storm. I am a hospice nurse and need internet to work. They originally gave me a service call for 5 day later, then when the 5 days came, they said they never said that date" that I must have heard it incorrectly ". Breezeline has to be the worst service provider in the country. I am now 50 minutes and waiting on hold for a service technician. I would settle for a call center in Mumbai or the Phillipines. They have somewhat of a monopoly in this area. The FCC should look at Breezeline and mandate improvements. Service works the majority of the time in Lower Queen Anne's Co. MD. But it's intermittent frequently and ineffective when so.

So here's how it went. Originally, we had DirectTV and switched to Atlantic Broadband because DirectTV was behind the times and we needed to be able to make long-distance calls. This was a good fifteen years ago. Fast-forward to when Atlantic Broadband gets rebranded to Breezeline: utter trash. Because they decided to replace their cable with streaming (which we specifically did not want because we live in a dead zone) our TV and Internet can and will go out on perfectly clear days for absolutely no reason. Even better, it's usually *only* in our living room, where we usually watch TV. Call someone out, they swap out the boxes, solution maybe lasts a week. Call customer support? I usually have to waste the first five minutes of finally getting a hold of a real person telling them "Yes I already did all that" because they give you the most basic advice of "turn it off and back on again." And for being supposedly 4K, it sure does look like 480 with buffering most days. Not to mention the fact that the few channels we do watch, they keep axing. Lost Newsmax a few years ago, and yesterday they axed WE TV. In exchange, we get a bunch of junk channels that we specifically did not want. Not to mention the fact that they will happily charge exorbitant prices for this poor service--we pay $443+ a month, and I don't doubt that others pay just as much if not more. Extra bonus to learning today that the reason we're having difficulty in getting a new provider is because Breezeline will buy out areas and not allow others to go there. That's right, your cable and internet providers act on the same monopoly mindset that your utility providers do, so if you do have Breezeline, likely you're stuck with it. If you can, avoid this company like the plague. read more

Terrible service my mom had to switch to Breezeline and needed to have her number ported to them which was 3 weeks ago and this has not happened yet she still has a temporary number which I cannot hook to her emergency alert!!!! Service is terrible I would give them a negative 2 !!!! read more

the service was efficient when I had it but the customer service and charges I received for cancelling services were insane. I was told I had 30 days to return equipment. I used the ups tracking slip they gave me. even though it was tracked as being returned they threatened to bill my over $400 dollars. I was told on email it would be auto paid. the customer service associate said I was on autopay. then said I was not on autopay. very poor human relations service. read more

Literally hours on the phone with customer support, slower internet speed, less television channels, two tech visits, no phone service for 10 days, and now phones are down again! We have been forced to keep this worthless company as an internet provider for over 3 years now. Where we live, they are a monopoly. The internet goes out EVERYDAY. We try to get service to get it fixed, and they have only come out one time. It fixed nothing when they did. They also charge us over 120 dollars per month for WIFI service only. First let me tell you their service is always going out and is really slow. Speed test never reaches 100/10 as we pay for. The do not offer fiber in our area, so slow speed with at least 1 outage a week. We had our home, business and church through them. Home we just switched to a company that gives us 1 gig for less than we paid for 100/10 through Atlantic Broadband. Customer service times are crazy. Like 30 minutes to an hour. The longest I waited was an hour and 20 minutes. So we just canceled our home internet with them. They came out years ago and installed the box and cables. Now I just had to drive over an hour one way to drop the box off or they would charge me for it. The person at the location I dropped of could care less. I asked if it cost a lot of money for new customer acquisition and his response was, "I'm sure a lot." I said you make me drive over 2 hours to drop off a box and you think that is right. He laughed and said, "Yea that sucks." Great customer service. Business service is horrible. Constantly really slow or down. We had our phone down and not working for a whole day once and hours at a time every month. We are switching to another provider in a month when the fiber lines are complete. Have been on hold for literally hours at a time trying to get customer service. They are horrible. Now the church... What a bunch of crooks. We started live streaming our services and the connection was so slow. So I did a speed test and they had our church on a throttled down 15/5 service charging us more than a 75/10 plan. I talked to customer service and they said that is what they ordered years ago and they no longer had plans that slow, so they actually throttled the speed down and charged us for a rate 5 times faster yet didn't upgrade our speed. They did this for years and thought that was OK. Really, ripping off a church. Told me the person doing the bills should have caught that and gotten the free upgrade. That it was our 70+ year old treasurer that should have caught their over billing for the slower speed. Did they offer any rebate or any apology? Nope, just blamed us for not staying on top of it. If I could give them negative stars I would, this company could care less about their customers and to rip off a church, that is a new low!!! read more

Ever since my only choice of ISP switched from Metrocast to Atlantic Broadband I have had to reset my modem 5 or 6 times a day to restore internet connectivity. After a phone call with their customer service they sent out a tech rep. The rep seemed quite competent and quickly determined that the issue wasn't in my house but instead a problem with the subterranean line coming from the street to my house. He then stated he'd put in a work order to have it replaced. After several days of zero communication we called Atlantic Broadband. The customer service rep had absolutely no technical information on our issue in their system and no corrective actions scheduled, only that we had an "open service issue". Seems like they have some pretty severe management and internal communication issues. The customer service rep said someone would call us back. I'm not holding my breath. read more

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Atlantic Broad Band's service at best is INCONSISTENT, like many we're paying for 15Mbps/2Mbps (download/upload) speeds. So far in the last 10-months I've only seen 15Mbps/2Mbps once. The vast majority of the time the network is fluctuating from being completely down to barely running (0.39Mbps/0.10Mbps) ... this morning's speed test showed a 3.88Mbps/0.25Mbps for a few minutes before service went out for several minutes. Now it is barely running again. Like many they have charged a service fees and replaced their equipment. In early December, I spoke with a supervisor and told him "No, I'm not paying for another service tech to come out and do nothing." He admitted there was a known NODAL issue and that they were "working on it," and asked if he could have a tech stop by. The tech stopped by ran a test, swapped out several things and ran another test. He told me I've verified this has nothing to do with your computers, modem or connection to the house. I asked if it was relate to the node and he said, I asked how long before it is fixed ... he smiled and said I don't have a clue, they've been working on it for about a year. This tells me the company has a known issue impacting their customers and they're doing nothing about it. What else is I supposed to assume?? I will say they're really good about charging patrons for 15Mbps/2Mbps, which they aren't providing. Unfortunately, the way Maryland and other states allow cable monopolies ... it is either Atlantic Broad Band, DSL or satellite in this area; those providers have proven to be just as unreliable and non-customer centric at Atlantic Broad Band. As a business without real competition, you don't have to care about the customer, especially if there are no other or limited options. I wish federal regulators (FCC) would step in and make all these companies provide what they promise and what they're being paid for vice what we're all not getting. I guess this is the new era of business, where customers don't get what they're paying for and expecting to receive. I'm not a happy customer and I wouldn't even refer this company to someone I didn't like. read more
