Once I got them…read morehome, I noticed one came in at the exact same value that the piece had on a prior appraisal 44 years ago. 44 years ago, same value and the piece became an antique within that time. I got in touch with Nathan to change it and he reasoned 10 ways to Sunday why he thinks it didn't appreciate at all in the last 44 years. Needless to say that's a major disagreement and one that he refuses to change.. Some people just don't like to admit when they are wrong, I guess. Still trying to find ways to make this experience right or a better outcome but it seems every avenue I reach out to has no oversight on this company because he doesn't carry many credentials and even though he carries a GIA certificate, they don't do any oversight either. On top of that, he taxed my appraisals which was an undisclosed charge to me. Another disregard that a jeweler must disclose up front. He basically did everything online or through his computer system so I did not see that until I got home otherwise I would have not paid that. I do know for certain that he had to disclose that if he was going to do it, but he didn't. So right now, I'm just gonna leave this review here and you can decide. whether you want to do business like this, in this manner. On another note, it's been quite a while since I posted this review and he hasn't even cared to come on.

I brought it in with an identical pocket watch for parts for Antonio to repair. There were a couple of hiccups but Antonio fixed the watch with good turnaround time. I thought it still had a problem with it after I picked it up for a second time, but it is working just fine now and has been working as it should. I have other less sentimental pocket watches that may need servicing so I will bring those in to Antonio when possible. "Genius me" was able to remove the back from my MOVADO Classic Museum Watch with the Sapphire glass (designed in 1947) that is still as flawless as the day I purchased the watch decades ago. I removed it so I could replace a dead RENATA #395 battery which is the exact battery recommended by Movado. FYI, they're only $6.95 for a 3pack on Amazon. MY PROBLEM. I appeared to have "slightly" bent the watch back when I removed it. Despite all my cleverness and tools in my workshop, I was not able to secure the back after replacing the battery. That's why/when I started looking for a jewelry repair shop for help. I chose Anthony's based on the many prior 5star reviews on Yelp. \ As I walked into the small shop where I saw 3 men at work, I expected to pay about $20 for the service I needed IF someone was able to undo my damage and hand me my cherished timepiece in one piece. Eric worked on my watch for a couple of minutes and got some advice from Anthony himself. Would my "patient" live? YES! I started to reach for my wallet when Eric handed me my museum piece. WHAT? "You don't want ANY of my money?" was my reaction when he said there was NO CHARGE. This is why I have taken the time to post this review. Yes, it took him less than 3 minutes to solve my problem but I expected to pay for their expertise.
