Reception lady was very rude, ignored me when I walked in for a few minutes until i asked for a pedicure then she basically laughed in my face when i said i didn't have an appointment when the door clearly says "walk ins welcome". She made me feel stupid for even asking and then ignored me after I asked if I could just wait so I left. Mind you the nail salon was basically empty and very slow. If there were a zero rating, this nail salon would receive it. Their appointment booking system is a complete shambles with excuse after excuse as to why they got mixed up. I had a long conversation the time of booking . I was told the first available appointment was the next Sunday. I confirmed twice, the day and the date, as a Sunday seemed out of the norm. I also verified my phone number several times, as well as the time. I was asked what was needed and I said "mani and pedi." She asked what kind of mani/ pedi? I answered "gel." It was a detailed conversation. As we went through the entire procedure again, I simultaneously added it in my calendar, repeating the date, time and phone number. I arrived today on time and found they did not have my appointment in their book, and was told I'd probably gotten the wrong date and time. I explained our conversation. She, came up with excuses, and concluded with I must have gotten it wrong or sometime the phone line isn't clear. A messed up experience from beginning to end. Go to Brenda's only if you have a backup at another organized, customer service mail salon. This one is not reliable. read more

Made an appointment on Sunday for a Monday mani for my mom and pedi for me. Our plans changed at the last minute and we both only had time for color changes. They were gracious and took us right away. Truly 5 star customer service. My Chick Flick Cherry toe polish change was enhanced by a quick cuticle scrub and rinse which never happens at home. Also had the benefit of the massage chair. My mom was pleased with her hand polish change. Great color selection. Clean and neat salon. I went here for the first time yesterday for a Pedicure. I walked in mid morning without any appointment. I was immediately acknowledged, and had no waiting. The place was clean, well lit and organized and staff were so kind, friendly, and ensured you were comfortable with their service. I saw Ken, who was phenomenal. He was gentle, thorough, and did a fantastic job. The tools were clean, sterile, and I got hot stone massage with warm moist towels during the pedicure. I was in heaven! My toes came out beautifully with a cute Spring design. I highly recommend Brenda's Nails to anyone looking for manicures or pedicures. Great experience! They remodeled while they were closed due to the pandemic, and it looks beautiful now! They have COVID protocols in place (questionnaire upon arrival; temperature check; nail station 6 feet apart and have a plexiglass barrier between you and the technician; pedicure stations have plastic barriers between them; they sanitize stations right after customer gets up; technicians all wear masks and customers are required to wear masks) which made me feel more comfortable about getting my nails done. I'm visiting the Cape and wanted to get my nails done. Based on the Yelp reviews, I made an appointment at Brenda"s nails for a pedi and dip mani. Temperature check at the door, masks required, plexiglass dividers between pedi chairs and plexiglass at all manicure stations. All stations cleaned between customers. Kenny did a fantastic dip powder mani. He was very gracious and accommodating when I changed my mind about having a French mani mid way through even though it took longer and I ended up being the last customer. He wanted it to be perfect. It is and I love my nails! Posted a couple of pics! Everyone in the salon was very friendly and Kenny even recommended a great place to get lobster rolls. On the Cape for the summer and couldn't get an appt at my usual nail salon, so I decided to give Brenda's a try after reading so many positive Yelp reviews. Johnny was so awesome that I want to give it 5 stars, but I think 4 is fair. The pros: Clearly, this is a popular place for locals. Many customers came in on a first name basis with the owner and other nail techs, asking about how people's kids are doing etc.--definitely has lots of repeat customers, which is a great sign. As I said, Johnny was excellent. Very friendly, efficient, and did a great job with my pedicure. The hot stone massage was awesome, and he was very attentive to making sure I was comfortable in terms of water temperature, massage pressure, etc. They have a great selection of colors and average/typical prices. My pedicure was $35, which is what I usually pay at home. I also like that they use liners in the pedicure baths. Cons: It's a small salon and very hectic. Definitely not a spa-like atmosphere. An appt is definitely necessary in the summer. I had one and still waited 45 min. , as did many other patrons while I was there. To be fair, it is 4th of July week on Cape Cod, but they clearly overbooked and didn't seem to know how to handle it. Many people waiting were clearly frustrated. In terms of cleanliness, it was clean, but I wouldn't call it immaculate. A bit dated. Given that it's the busiest time of year in a vacation spot, I am cutting them some slack. I would come back for sure based upon the pros I listed above, but would never do so without an appointment. I would also suggest booking early in the day before they get behind, especially in the summer, as they seem to have trouble juggling the demand and turning walk-ins away. My family has a house in Brewster and I have gotten my nails done on the Cape a number of times. Brenda Nails is by far the best nail salon I have been to on the Cape! They are so kind and they take such care with your nails and also with your hands and feet during the mani/pedi! The polish always lasts and they are so helpful in picking out colors! They are doing an AMAZING job with Covid protocols! You fill out a contact tracing form before you go in and they check your temperate and give you had sanitizer. The pedicure stations are all separated from one another and from the technician with thick plastic and for the manicure you are separated from the technician with plexi glass! Everyone was wearing masks and when one customer had hers on incorrectly they even asked her to fix it! I could not have been more impressed and I felt safe the entire time! I should have listened to the review left about the owner being rude and gone elsewhere. My daughter and I went for mani/pedi and arrived at 9:05 a.m. and when we walked in they said to pick a color. Then we sat down to wait. We were walk ins so I expected to wait a little bit. I asked what the wait was because we would have run out to grab breakfast if needed. We were not in any rush. Brenda said one minute and then got us situated for our pedicures. Our feet were soaking and a woman and her granddaughter came in at 9:25 stating the had an appt for 9:30 and 10:30. Brenda started raising her voice at me saying that we took their appointment at which I responded that I never said we had an appointment I just asked how long the wait was. The woman and her granddaughter were actually scheduled for 9am and were 25 min late. Brenda told me she wouldn't be able to service us since we didn't have an appt. After a couple minutes she said they would finish our pedicures but no manicures. Luckily we had Sophia who was lovely and a gentleman who was very kind but anyone who came in, Brenda had to tell them how we showed up for someone else's appointment and then the other woman showed up late. Sophia did an amazing job but Brenda was extremely unprofessional and we will not be back! read more
