They charge your insurance and then quote you one price over the phone, but when you arrive for your appointment, they present a bill that is triple the amount. I waited an entire year to have my deep cleaning covered so I could pay a smaller portion, but when I went to my appointment today, they gave me a price that was nothing like what they had told me before. This is the second time I've wasted my time driving there, only to be unable to proceed with the deep cleaning due to unexpected pricing. A few weeks ago, I specifically asked what I would need to pay, and they gave me a reasonable estimate--but today, they doubled it. The front desk assistant was very rude, racist, unprofessional, and disrespectful. She needs to remember that patients are the ones who are paying her paycheck. The worst experience ever. Don't waste your time & money!!!! My wife and I will no longer be their patients, and if you care about your time and money, you won't either. read more

Not a good experience. Had 2 crowns, both failed. Ended up having to get 2 root canals. What would have cost me $720 ended up being $1800. One was cracked the other was pressing on the nerve. Tried to get some compensation to no avail. Will not be returning. read more

I've been going to Dr. Brennan for almost 8 years. The reasons being honesty, price, and convenience. The honesty I would say is still there. I don't think they try to give me work I don't necessarily need. The price although is no longer competitive. They are about the same as other offices if not more. They used to have a great family plan for cleanings which they no longer offer. I feel like the sales for treatment have gotten a lot more pushy where before I never felt pressured. The office used to be open weekends and evenings. They are still open some evening week days but no longer weekends. My biggest issue and probably the main one why I won't be returning is their cleaning policy. I scheduled a cleaning but when I got there was told I would need a deep clean and they didn't have time to do it. I get needing a deep cleaning and that's fine but to have me drive all the way there then turn me me away saying I need to come back is not ok with me. I asked if I could get the regular cleaning done today and then come back for the deep cleaning and they said no. So I had to leave without anything being done. I drive 20 miles one way to get here, with gas prices the way they are I'm not trying to make unnecessary trips. This also happened to two other patients that go here. So I'm guessing it's their policy. read more

I spent so much time trying to find a practice to extract my broken wisdom tooth. The staff made me feel right at home. The tv on the ceiling and the massage setting on the exam chair helped me relax. I saw both doctors and both were patient, friendly and gentle. Would recommend to anyone. I came in after not having dental insurance for 6 years. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind to me. I think we all get embarrassed or nervous when it comes to the dentist, I know I was. I put it off for so long because I thought I'd be ridiculed for not going for so long. That was far from the case. During my initial cleaning, the staff explained everything beforehand. It was pain free and I learned a lot about mouth care. Every. Single. Staff member is a breath of fresh air. Brennan Dental is led by two fantastic, highly experienced dentists: Dr.s' Jonny (MD/DMD) and Elliott Brennan (DMD). The following is an assessment of my experience the last few years if you are interested. Background: Prior to February 2020, approximately for the last 10 years, I frequented Dr. J. Foster Weems in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Weems is a USC (University of Southern California) Dental School graduate and one of my favorite people. I had big "shoes to fill" when Dr. Weems retired or Covid hit (dirty bats?). That's the background; I kept my normal GP (General Practitioner) Dr. William Kurt Armstrong, MD near the main Hoag Hospital where we delivered 2 of our 3 children prior to Mercy Gilbert. Location: Brennan Dental is literally walking/skate boarding/roller blading/Bird distance from our current residence in the Chandler/Gilbert area. We are back for family (parent health) reasons/work opportunities: cleanings are fantastic, the Doctors always visit with me personally (extremely important to me) and address my concerns, numb as needed, etc. Referrals/Whitening: The whitening is affordable (yet I prefer Zoom). The referrals to Dr.s' Frost and Woods at Red Mountain Endodontics in Mesa for a root canal [due to some botched dental work from whenI lived/worked in Europe where dentists aren't considered doctors which is concerning] have been fantastic and quasi-affordable with pre-tax out of pocket. Implants: On Monday, January 9, 2023 I had an implant prepared by Dr. Elliott Brennan for a bottom right molar I lost in about 2010 that I could never rationalize to afford to fix. If you have ever had an old crown 'crack' you know what I mean, it's a violent experience. Stop work immediately and call your dentist. Don't try to work though it at a client site like I did. In the United States of America (USA) when one 'cracks a tooth,' the dental establishment tends to focus on saving the tooth or an implant. If one ignores the unexpected loss, other teeth are not supported properly over time which creates exponentially negative issues. Implants are normally extremely expensive in the USA where we have the most educated dentists in the world. Good dental work, admittedly, is an investment. The aforementioned implant process was flawless and my new tooth will be installed in a few months after a couple stitches heal. Routine 6 Month Visits: Today (January 13, 2023) I went in for a routine cleaning with annual e-rays with Dr. Jonny Brennan. I experienced a lightly chipped front tooth (don't drink out of anything metal) was cosmetically smoothed, etc. I was at the office for an hour over my lunch break: 'in and out' efficiently. The young lady who did my cleaning (several times now) was extremely detail oriented, positive and highly educated. Fear/Coffee: I (straight up) fear the dentist and never had the stomach for anything medical related after I dissected a fetal pig at age 14 in biology...and I drink a lot of dark coffee, Americanos and Cappuccinos, et al. Communication: I receive reminders via text on my iPhone 12 and I always get a few minute grace period if I am running late. Conclusion: If you are not getting routine care or want to try a new dentist: I genuinely recommend Brennan Dental, an entrepreneurial establishment that has a "bedside" manner. I was afraid and embarrassed to visit the dentist after not going for many years. Fortunately, I was assigned to Sonia. She made my experience one of the best I have ever had at a dental office. I had a wonderful experience at this office. I had to set up an emergency appointment because I was in so much pain. I ended up finding them on yelp and they were open on Saturday. (Which is just so hard to find) I set up a last-minute appointment, so I'm really grateful that they were able to get me an on a Saturday last minute and help with all my tooth pain. The dentist was so nice and the assistance and hygienist were so kind. They walked me through the whole process. I have really bad anxiety when it comes up to dentist and I felt so calm and they helped me stay calm throughout the whole process. It's kind of easy to miss the office because they're older buildings around. I didn't actually ever noticed some until I found them on yelp. The office is really clean and high tech looking. Omg BTW all the staff seem so friendly and nice. And they all seem like they really do enjoy their job so it's really refreshing to be in a medical setting where people are happy and living their best life laughing and having a good time with all the patients that come through the office. read more

I called in on August 3rd at 12.57 and spoke with a female. I told her I needed a second opinion for dental work and implants. I am limited for days and times as I told her. She told me they were open Wednesday's till 6 and 8 pm Thursday's. I booked an appointment for today, 8/11/21 at 5 pm. She told me to bring x-rays,pano's and treatment plan to show dentist. I arrived early to sit and wait at 4:20. The girl at the desk said I didn't have an appointment. I showed her my phone and the call information and showed her I talked for 5 minutes, 28 seconds. Here I could not see anybody today and when would be a good day and time to reschedule. Obviously, this is not a dentist I would be interested in. Poor scheduling practice. Fearing the dentist, not having the resources to be preventive, & not talking care of my teeth have led to my teeth being a disaster. Nice & friendly staff. They seemed pretty efficient. Explained what my options are, cost etc. Dr Smith explained everything very well with his recommendations. Last dentist I went to was over the top selling the "beautiful smile you must have", but I didn't get that feeling here. I reported back to Brennan Dental at which point they stated I had an infected root canal and referred me to a specialist. I paid three hundred dollars in advance for four teeth cleanings. I received one and then Covid hit. I am 69 years old and have respiratory issues. Since the onset of the virus I have eschewed indoor settings, so I was not going in to have my teeth cleaned. I called the office and asked that my three remaining cleanings be placed on hold until it is deemed safe, by the CDC, to resume. The office refused and I am out $225. I was traveling on business and late one evening had severe tooth pain. I called the office at 7:50 PM to schedule a 7 AM visit the next day. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I arrived the next day, all of the staff that helped me were very professional, friendly and understanding. I required a tooth extraction. The dentist that did the procedure, Dr. Smith, clearly explained my options and associated costs. I opted to have the procedure, and they have a television on the ceiling. I was able to watch Netflix during the procedure, and both the dentist and dental assistant were excellent. I hope to never find myself in a similar situation, but if I do I will call Brennan Dental. I have been going here since they opened. however, my last visit was not good at all. I showed up early as requested since they had other appt. cancel that day. Starting from the front desk not having my correct insurance information which did get corrected,eventually. Then back to the hygienist whom for lack of a better term wanted to go home "early" that day as heard her talking to fellow coworkers. So when it came to my general routine cleaning which is what my visit was for.....she said there wasn't enough time because apparently I needed a deep cleaning. I was told to reschedule for another time. Well you lost a customer over this one. Wow! What a great experience! Everyone was so kind, caring and professional. And might I mention the TV with Netflix in the ceiling!
