WOW. Do. Not. Ever. Go. Here…read more They care ONLY about your money. I had a real, honest emergency and they refused to even look in my mouth or talk to me about my emergency. They refused treatment when I have insurance to cover it. If something happens to me, this company will be held responsible for refusing care when faced with a health emergency. Backstory: I moved here in 2023 and saw a dentist for something minor. It was fine. Nothing special. Nothing terrible. Fast forward, September 2026. I broke a tooth open and was met with severe pain where I couldn't eat or sleep for days. It was at night when I broke it, so I couldn't see a dentist right away. I had to go to Urgent Care (wait an hour and a half) to get pain meds and meds for infection. I tried to get to a dentist the next two days I was given medicine for, but couldn't find any that took my insurance on Friday and then Saturday, all closed by 2pm. Labor Day was Monday, so I would have to wait to see a dentist until Tuesday. I went back to Urgent Care to get more pain meds (another hour) since the last didn't take care of all the pain and made me extremely tired. Due to the pain, I've barely ate or slept. After taking all these pain meds and not eating, I'm now throwing everything up, even water. The only place that takes my insurance and is available was Risas. My husband called and they said they could not take me because there was a balance we had not paid from a couple years ago. The balance was $400 and they said we had to pay half to get seen. Well, we woke up today to our AC quitting in the beginning of September in AZ and no money to fix it, so we don't have the money to pay the old balance, but I do have insurance and it will pay for THIS visit. The financial department said to come on in and tell them the situation and they'll probably help us out. That's not what happened. I came in and explained I haven't ate for 6 days and am in extreme pain and they told me about the balance. My husband and I kept saying how much of an emergency this is and how my insurance will pay for this visit but she had to go talk to someone. A chick called me back, and she took us right to the desks so I knew they were only interested in the money and not my severe pain. A doctor never looked at me, I never even met the doctor. They decided that customer money was more important than customer care. I have health insurance that covers up to $1000 for emergencies, and they wouldn't even look at that. They said, if we don't have the past $200, you need to leave. We got up to leave and I was mad and I said "all of this over $200" and that rude girl had it in her to actually smart mouth back and say "Well, actually it's $400." No. The total amount was $400, but the financial department said we had to pay 50%...$200. I can't believe the nerve of her to say that after kicking us out. My husband walked back in to ask for the name of the doctor who refused service without looking at me and whoever else is in the compliance department and this RUDE mousy-brown haired girl with a super forgettable face gave him a card she dug out of a drawer and refused to tell him the names. He said this office will be responsible if something goes wrong with me and SHE TURNED HER BACK TO HIM. We went ahead to call corporate (and are still on the phone with them) and they let us know that we are now banned because my husband asked for the names of who would be responsible. Do not go there. They only want money and they're not practicing dentistry in a moral (maybe even illegal? Idk) way. They wouldn't even let me use my insurance for a real emergency and didn't even check me out to see if it was one! We are still on the phone with corporate and she's doing everything she can to try to help. Stella is an all-star for trying to make better a situation Risas made horrible. Update: The woman on the phone tried so hard to get us into every location but remember that rude chick? SHE BLACKLISTED US FROM ALL THE LOCATIONS BECAUSE WE DARE ASK THE NAMES OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE. So because we knew we were wronged and we questioned it, you stopped the service for all other locations when I said this is the only place that takes my insurance!? Who are you hiring Risas?! I am in soooo much pain, throwing up, sitting in a house that has no AC and now can't find anywhere to go that takes my insurance. Thank you so much Risas for ruining our entire day/week over $200. I didn't enjoy the drive, but I really liked him, so my eye never wandered... until one day a fancy mailer caught my eye. I recall seeing the phrase "paraffin wax", and baby, that's all she wrote. After walking into the unassuming office, which faces Alma School (you'll park on the opposite side of the building), I excitedly anticipated which part of my anatomy would be waxed. The office is adjacent to a colon hydro-therapy business, so I really didn't know what to expect. Mesha greeted me, and suggested I take a seat. After blurting out something about spa treatments, she summoned Dawnie, who I immediately took a shine to. She was utterly charming, referring to moi as "sugar" and "honey". Where's the tip jar, cuz daddy's ready to slap it down! After being ushered to one of their "relaxation rooms", and seeing an ultra-modern massage chair, I shifted focus to Dawnie and let out an "Oh Mama!". She coaxed my shoes off, and had me dip my paws into a crock pot of translucent wonder. First the palms, then the backsides. Each hand was bagged and summarily placed into a soft mitten. I was led to the chair, which had foot massage apparatus, which I have never seen before. Asking for a photo, I realized my camera was tucked into my front pocket. Dawnie, realizing I was about to try and stuff my baker-sized oven mitt in my jeans, offered to take the photo and text it to me. The massage chair was activated, and I spent the next 15 minutes in Pamper-ville. Tessa, my hygienist, came to fetch me. She even carried my clod hoppers to the cleaning room. Total sweetheart. After completing the cleaning, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Caryn Lee. The whole experience was one pretty woman after another. I love ya Dr Madder, but these breezies got me on lock. ps. They have the ability to mold your crown in-house, same day, so NO TEMPORARIES!!! YAY!
