And I don't mean a little dry, I mean really really dry. The pasty in particular was overwhelmingly crusty with very little moisture or flavor to balance it out. After a few bites I threw it away and felt relieved that I had bought a second item because I hadn't eaten all day. The sausage was just as bad. The bun was so dry it was crunchy. I didn't mind that the sausage skin had a crunch to it, but unfortunately once I got inside it wasn't moist or juicy either. Oh and the little tiny sliver of mustard that they put on top? I could have pushed that all into one bite and it still wouldn't have been enough. I took a few bites and threw that away too. I understand pasties can be crusty and that's part of what makes them a pasty, but there's a huge difference between being so dry and crusty that it's difficult to eat and having a real savory pasty. The whole experience was so disappointing. I don't know if Yelp has made a huge mistake with the rating for this place or if I just caught them on a bad day. I love the idea and I often go to British pub style restaurants when I can but based on my experience here I would not recommend this location.

There was food and paper on the floor, the tables and seats were greasy, and the area clearly had not been cleaned. When she asked about it, the waitress told her she couldn't clean because she was allergic to the cleaning solution. Instead, she handed the spray bottle and rag to one of the guest and she had to clean the table herself which was surprising and inappropriate. Unfortunately, the service throughout our visit was disappointing. Our waitress and another staff member were dismissive, and when several people in our group raised concerns, we were told, "If you don't like it, don't come back." The following day I spoke with the manager to explain what had happened. His response was that we had arrived early, which was why the patio wasn't ready. I found this explanation difficult to accept given that the business had been open for several hours before our arrival. He told us our group had been problematic and we were not welcome back. Our group left feeling disappointed by both the condition of the patio and the way our concerns were handled.
