I feel so much better about my smile. Beautiful crown work, great cleanings, trustworthy advice and service, they explain thoroughly, they spend time listening and I never feel rushed. He was very informative on what the causes of the pain could be, and he was thorough in his exam. He pinpointed it to a previous filling that had outlived is useful life. He gave me some options on what could be done and when he could do it. I needed a crown and so I chose to have him start it right then. This is what really makes this practice stand out. He could have just a scheduled it for a later date and sent me on my way, but he put the gloves on and started the procedure. I am really happy with the work Dr. Hallissey and his staff do and I will refer all my friends to The Center for Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Nesvold has a dental assistant help out with the x-rays, charting, and dental procedures (fillings). There are no paper charts here! All of the dental records (x-rays, charts) are stored digitally by computer. Above the dental chair is a flat panel monitor which shows your chart, xrays, and digital images of your teeth and gums. Previously, I couldn't see the back of my mouth at my former dentists. Cool fish screensaver on the monitor!! It's definitely worth the drive from the Merrimack Valley to the Seacoast for my dental needs!! My supervisor now goes to Dr. Nesvold for his dental needs too!!

All of the nerves instantly went away when his receptionist Julie greeted me upon arrival, she's always smiling and super friendly. She answered my insurance questions and introduced me to Dr. Nesvold. He (along with his dental assistant Kathy) spent about an hour with me the first appointment and we agreed to do a thorough cleaning at a later date. That appointment went smoothly and they took extra special care knowing I'm incredibly sensitive to pain (I'm a bit of a baby). He referred me to an oral surgeon in the area (Dr. De Tolla in Portsmouth- also fantastic) for wisdom teeth removal. I didn't meet his hygienist, Cheryl, until a few visits later but she's just as friendly and helpful as everyone else there! I've now been going there for several years and I can't say enough good things. I've now converted a sister and my boyfriend over to the office and plan to keep recommending Atlantic Family Dental to friends and family.

At the end of the fifth somewhat expensive visit, thinking I was done, he told me I now needed his referral to a specialist for considerable additional work and would no longer see him for any dental work. I would like to have known this in the beginning. His bedside manner is excellent, so far his work is good, his planning is very lacking. I would have had someone else do all the work had I known he wouldn't finish. I admit an aversion to pain but gave no trouble and quickly paid all my bills.

I always feel comfortable and safe with Dr.Harrison, and I don't typically feel that way with Dentists. The staff is also phenomenal. Megan and Jess, who run the office, and super friendly and accommodating. They always try to work me in the schedule when there is an emergency. They text back and forth which is convenient for me. I get auto-reminders before and the day of the appointments. It's a great experience and these two are a big reason why. Susie, Becky, and Kim and three of the dental hygienists that I've worked with over the past few years. They also contribute to this special culture here. No time is wasted in my appointments because these 3 are always on their game. I know there are other hygienists and I can guarantee if they work in this office, they are good at what they do.
