I have been a patient at both offices, but as of recently, I prefer to be seen at the Leonardtown office. I had a cleaning in the Lusby office in January 2023, and this was the first time no dentist checked over my teeth after the cleaning. I wasn't given my "goodie bag" of dental treats and I felt rushed. I just did my 6 month cleaning at the Leonardtown office on July 5, 2023, and the dental hygienist was the best! I don't know what's going on in Lusby, but you guys rock across the bridge! The only gripe I have is that the scheduling systems apparently don't communicate with each other because I keep receiving emails about missing my routine cleaning after being seen. When I sat in Dr. Joseph Luke's chair at 9:15AM I had no idea I wasn't getting out of that chair until 4:45PM! Prior communication was minimal and most had to be reexplained by the gracious staff. The original problem was need of two implants and a replacement bridge on the top right. Instead he narrowed down my two front teeth, which had been perfectly fine, to mere points and added crowns that now are flanges jutting out into my lip and appearing similar to buck teeth. Likewise he unnecessary replaced all my top left crowns which now press greatly unto my lower left partial, which too had been perfectly fine, but now merely rocks and puts pressure on my eye tooth which unless relieved would lead to its roots being dislodged. Every visit there merely made my pain and the situation worse. I was hoping that my new prosthodontist would alley my concerns but instead they both asked, "Why did he do that???" I could only come up with an answer that had me not as the beneficiary and my wallet less $8,000 with the original problem in the top right still having had no attention. read more

Very professional treatment by the entire staff with awesome results. I have a complicated dental history and have had extensive work done. Dr. Luke has worked with me to correct problems with previous dental applications. We mapped out a treatment plan that worked around my dental, work and financial needs. I moved to the area mid February. I've tried two other dentists for dental pain and to get my teeth cleaned; both previous dentists took x-rays but we're obviously not qualified to diagnose the problem with my upper left molar. This guy really knows what he's doing and I'm glad I found him, finally. I troubleshoot and solve problems in an industrial setting for a living, and he's the first dentist that actually took the time to ask enough questions and do enough research to be able to accurately diagnose the problem, and propose solutions. He obviously has a good sense of humor, has a clean workable office, and the staff is quite competent. I will definitely be going back for regular cleanings or other necessary dental work, if ever needed. read more

This dentist was the worst ever I've experienced in my life. After he attempted a root canal, he never should've attempted. I ended up going to an endodontist for a retreat root canal 3 months later for an infection that formed. All due to him using material that had to end up being removed by a endodontist, one whom stated that Dr. Lukes material was more so used as temorary material and shouldn't of been used in this case. The endodontist had to not only remove the material, but the material he used after having to perform a retreat root canal... Dr. Luke did not use for the first procedure. In which my insurance and I had to pay for. The endodontist used a rubber piece blocking my other teeth off, he cleaned the area with a bleach like solution before applyong the proper material. Might I add that when the endodontist asked for my record from the office. Dr. Luke refused to release anything until I threatened the office for medical malpractice. Then they went ahead and issued my xrays only, and my money back. If you care about the health of your mouth... do not place trust in Dr. Luke or any of his office locations. read more
