I couldn't have been more pleased with what I discovered. Dr. Mohomed and staff were extrordinarily welcoming and accommodating. They treated my mother like she was their own. Unfortunately, before the final dentures were complete, COVID happened. In addition, my mother fell and shattered her femur, ending up in a nursing home/rehab and unable to travel to the dentist for the fitting. In one of the most selfless and compassionate acts I have seen of a medical professional, Dr. Mohomed drove to my mother's nursing home after hours to fit her dentures in her bed. She then returned to her practice to make a final adjustment before taking them back to my mother -- again personally. What a relief to my mother -- Dr. Mohomed's selfless act relieved some of the strain of my mother's difficult recovery by allowing her to eat normally again. Witnessing Dr. Mohomed's skill and compassion convinced me to switch dentists as well. I have been a patient of GGDC for years since. I will also add from personal experience that in addition to being an amazing human being, Dr. Mohomed is skilled in performing complex dental procedures. Further, her hygenist is THE most thorough in my 60+ years of dental care. Her work is simply meticulous, and never rushed! They both travel to Guatemala and provide free dental care to the Mayan people way back in the hills. These people are desperately poor and they are a full day's walk away from any dental Care. Imagine that you or your child had a horrific toothache and needed to have a tooth pulled and were faced with a full day's walk. And there's no Holiday inn waiting at the end of the rainbow either. This charity for years now has been providing fluoride in the water of the Mayan people to prevent the problems necessitating dental Care. They've had much success and can see the improvement year-to-year in the teeth of the patients they do see. 100% of the money to support this fluoride charity goes to the purchase of the fluoride. Dr. Amin was great and was able to take care of what needed done most. Our Missionary was so impressed with how he was treated. I called this morning to make arrangements for payment. Both of the office people I talked to were very professional and kind. I wish I remembered the name of the lady I talked with regarding payment, but it was such a great experience dealing with her. I'm so glad she's back after the birth of her sweet new baby, because appointments with her always feel like catching up with an old friend (even if said friend has sharp objects in my mouth lol). They work hard to keep you informed for the whole process, and answer all of your questions (even the ones that might be...dumb. I am very guilty of asking a LOT of questions, and they never make me feel like I'm being a pain in the teeth about it). The facilities themselves are relaxing and comfortable, and the vibe of the office feels more like a spa than a dentists' office. I have so many friends that HATE going to the dentist, but I can't relate because Dr. Amin, Sarah, and the rest of the staff are so great! (Also, my most recent appointment was during COVID's pandemic, and I appreciated the transparency of the precautions they take to keep both patients and staff as safe as possible. I checked in from my car by calling the office, and Sarah called me back when my chair was ready for me and instructed me to wear my mask. There was hand sanitizer available in every room, and everyone wore masks. There's standard questioning at the beginning to be sure you're "safe" and they take your temperature and have you swish with a hydrogen peroxide [I think] solution to minimize any germs during your appointment. I had to cancel appointments repeatedly that I explained I would NEVER set because they were not on my regularly scheduled day off, and that I would never be able to show up for them. I ALWAYS tell the staff that I will call to make an appointment. Then I get surprise text messages saying that I have an appointment on a certain day, that I then have to call and cancel. They dismissed my son for missed appointments, that they themselves scheduled!!!!!! Ridiculous.

We knew going in that my daughter was no longer covered by the state dental insurance but based on several other dental visits in the area we thought her out of pocket cost for a cleaning would be roughly $120-150. Without x-rays and only a cleaning and a flouride treatment the receptionist told us it would be $274. I asked her to explain how their service would be so much more than other providers and she said that was the price they charge. I pointed out a brochure for an insurance plan they have on display that costs less than what they are charging and she repeated that $274 was their charge for today. I asked to see the office manager who parroted the same thing as the receptionist and I additionally pointed out that most businesses will try to work with clients that pay out of pocket because the business has to pay for medical billing and then have to wait weeks to months before they get paid. Still didn't move the needle. We'd been going to Smile Castle for years and there was no attempt to work with us. I won't be going back and I think they fail to realize how insulting it is to nearly double the cost of other dental services in the area.

Also I want to address I paid in full on the receipt $3,400 dollars for a crown, root canal with ice sedation that is what was on my receipt. Then as I walk in the receptionist tells me that I can no longer get my crown I paid for unless another $790 dollars was paid that same day. He said that he thought I had a dentist plan with them and he gave me 20% off. Which is a total lie because when I got my root canal and temporary crown put on I was there with my family he hands me the dental plan paperwork and mind you I'm still on clonidine 2 pills and IV sedation he gave me I needed a driver which I had and said make sure Sabrina signs up for our dentist plan so he knew I didn't have one and then wants to charge me extra and refuse to put my crown on I will make sure I tell friends and family I ended up paying the $790.00 on my CareCredit card and I will NEVER return there EVER again.

I've been going to the dentist every 6 months since…read moreI was a child. it seems like every time I went to this particular office I was told I needed a crown or two or some fairly big issue. once I agreed to a floride treatment and when billed it was 3x more than the quote. when I asked why suddenly after all these years, I need all these crowns etc whenever I had a visit I was told "you have old teeth." finally a different dentist was recommended. I've been going there for a ahile nd my teeth are suddenly good again. I trust my new dentist and so does everyone else. Take care in all your endeavors.
