From the first…read moremoment he gained my trust (and I always have hard times finding a trustworthy dentist after each time we move). There was a lot of work to do, but he made it absolutely stress-free working on my fillings and crowns. After he left the dental clinic that he was working at and until he opened his own practice I remained completely dentist-less. I did go to a dentist once but it was a mediocre experience, and I would never go there again. Couple months later I found Dr. Yazdan's clinic on Google Maps and was so relieved that my dentist problems are over! Even though he is located way further from me than the clinic he used to work at, I'd rather drive to his clinic than go to somebody I don't trust. I've already had my first appointment at Yazdan Family Dentistry and was quite impressed! Being his patient, you do feel like family!

I walked in to an absolutely beautiful waiting room (and building!), and was welcomed with a warm smile and a 'good morning!' I filled out my paperwork, and was still back to the chair within 5 minutes of my appointment time. There was no waiting afterward, either. I sat right down in the chair, got straight to x-rays, cleaning, and a routine exam. They did their work quickly and expertly, and all employees (including Doc) were extremely friendly, and had quick answers to all my questions. They do not use the silver filling product, as was the norm in the 80s and 90s, so you might want to make sure your insurance covers the white, tooth colored, filling product. If it doesn't, the bill is a bit higher, but it's worth it to not have a cavity filled with bright silver! Even if your insurance doesn't cover the white filling material, the bill is still very, very reasonable. This is not a laser dentist, he still uses the drill - so if you don't like the drill, you'll need to go elsewhere. Honestly, though, the drill is worth the level of service you recieve here. They make you feel like family, and the entire experience was very comfortable, which is rare considering it IS a dentist!

When I started here 4 years ago they were a booming business where they made crowns in there…read moreoffice, did implants in there office which was very convenient, but shortly after my first implant, the Dr who performed it left there practice, and a new dentist started my treatment, but after my second visit he also left the practice, and he had performed a bridge which failed a year after it was put in, so I was moved to a new Dr again who wanted to repair the damage from the previous bridge disaster, and reccomended a implant, but they no longer do implants so they referred me out to a new dental surgeon who extracted 2 teeth and started the implant. At this time this doctor noticed severe decay in front of a molar he pulled, and said he doubted the tooth could be saved. Why after 4 years being seen at patuxent dental did they never see this decay? When I called and complained they set me up with an appointment, and then the day prior to the appointment they called and said they needed to end our patient client relationship. So if you complain about their bad dentistry practices , rather than fixing the issues they will simply drop you as a patient. It is very easy to see why two highly skilled dentist left this practice, and believe me I should have never gone there, all they care about is big money procedures like crowns, implants, etc while they let the rest of your teeth rot. Good ridden to this business.

This was incredibly helpful, as we know the longer broken teeth are used for eating, the more cavities and sensitivity can worsen. She cleaned his teeth and gave me top notch advice on how to help a teenager have good oral hygiene with braces. She recommended a waterpik and gave me some tablets to show how well you are brushing by showing what spots you missed. Very very good advice! And the office was very flexible when making my follow up appointment. I definitely recommend this practice.

They dismissed my son for missed appointments, that they themselves scheduled!!!!!! Ridiculous.

We knew going in that my daughter was no longer covered by the state dental insurance but based on several other dental visits in the area we thought her out of pocket cost for a cleaning would be roughly $120-150. Without x-rays and only a cleaning and a flouride treatment the receptionist told us it would be $274. I asked her to explain how their service would be so much more than other providers and she said that was the price they charge. I pointed out a brochure for an insurance plan they have on display that costs less than what they are charging and she repeated that $274 was their charge for today. I asked to see the office manager who parroted the same thing as the receptionist and I additionally pointed out that most businesses will try to work with clients that pay out of pocket because the business has to pay for medical billing and then have to wait weeks to months before they get paid. Still didn't move the needle. We'd been going to Smile Castle for years and there was no attempt to work with us. I won't be going back and I think they fail to realize how insulting it is to nearly double the cost of other dental services in the area.
