The lady that assisted me was not only very knowledgeable but extremely patient and made sure that my questions were answered. She pulled no less than a half dozen bikes for me to try and seemed vested in making sure that I had the right bike with the right fit. She wasn't pushy or even tried to oversell. You could see that she had my interest, just like if she was the customer. The service didn't stop there. After picking my bike, they made sure that it was well adjusted and road worthy. The owner even checked up on me to see if everything was in order. While waiting for my bike to be ready, I also witnessed how returning customers were treated ... It reassured me that I made the right choice. We have another bike to buy for this upcoming season, and we are heading to Seacoast e-Bikes without even looking at other dealerships because they do customer service the old fashion way. I have put over 400 miles on it and it's going strong. I bought the bike from a dealer, Seacoast e-Bikes, because it is a fairly complex piece of machinery which requires some amount of care and feeding. Just about the time the bike was ready for its' tuneup (free at Seacoast), I got a flat tire. The flat was in the rear wheel with all sorts of connections to the chain, motor, gears etc. I dropped the bike off at Seacoast and the fixe the flat, and did the tuneup for a total of $50. If I had bought the bike via mail order I would have paid a lot more. They even dropped the bike off at my house free of cost. Shane, Frank and Steve and the rest of the staff really care about their customers, and know bike maintenance and repair cold. There is no reason to buy an e-bike mail order, because sooner or later it will need service and maintenance. If I could give 10 stars on this review I would. s

These guys are disorganized and really need to get it together. Three times we have given them a…read moretry and three times we've been disappointed. They seem to be only interested in doing bike maintenance and tune up packages (which are expensive with them) and not smaller cost repairs. Further, when we call ahead to see if they have a part or time to do a quick repair, we've been told yes in advance, only to find out no, they don't have time (when we arrived ten minutes after calling) or no, they don't have the part (which only 10 minutes prior we called to be sure they did). This kind of disorganization, miscommunication, and drive toward only being interested in hihh dollar repairs means they don't have a friendly, local bike shop vibe. We've tried them three times, which is fair. We won't be back and we can't recommend.

I imagined the people who walked this jetty every single day and I was jealous. We didn't tour the lighthouse but we've seen plenty of lighthouses. We've never seen one out a mile though. Don't miss this gem! Be sure to use the bathroom before coming here as we did not see any portapods. Also, wear shoes with hood support. We saw a few wearing flip flops; so t know how they did it. The ending to a perfect day in Maine? Watching the sunset from a jetty of course!…read more After spending the day exploring coastal areas in southern Maine, we decided to walk the jetty near Wells Harbor/York Beach. We didn't know what to expect when we discovered this spot - so when you come know that there are two jetty's. One you can access from the elongated, sandy parking area on Foster Ln (which was free to use and deserted when we came in early November); and, one you can access from a bigger, concrete parking area at the end of Atlantic Ave (beyond Sage Fishing Charters - it's pay to park here, but I don't know if that's just during the height of the summer season). These jetty's are long (I read somewhere that they're over a mile) stone breakwaters that stretch out relatively far from land into the Atlantic. It's beautiful to walk down and back as you get stunning views of Wells Harbor, the beach on either side, and great for bird watching too (we were captivated by some sanderlings!). It's important to be mindful when walking on jetty's though - these big boulders have crevices between them, so "mind the gap"; if the ocean is rough, you might also get soaked from waves crashing against them! Absolutely worth seeing, especially in the shoulder season when it's got that much more serene, humble feeling to it!
