I had to visit the emergency room and was prescribed medication for abdominal pain Pharmacy told me they would not fill it because the doctor was not in there network. I am a patient at BHA, so I decided to go to their Dental on Sarno Rd. What a nightmare. Nobody wants to go to the dentist, and I went there for 2 tooth extractions. While administering Novacaine which could be quite uncomfortable, I was told by Dr. Ross Smith not only to stop making noise, because there were kids back there, but also not to move. No bedside manner, nothing. I did not have my extractions, because he kept telling me that I was feeling pressure, when I was feeling more than that. He's pulling my tooth out with a, I don't know , a pair of pliers, REALLY!!! I'm not some poor old soul out of a western. However, he reminded me of one of those type of dentist's. I'll never go back there again!!! And anyone who's got anxiety about getting teeth worked on, this is not the place to Go. I would rather go pay 500.00 to a Maxiofacial surgeon, then go thru this. Oh yeah, my tooth is bleeding, and as soon as the Novacaine wears off, it will definitely be hurting!!! He also gave me a prescription for the wrong Antibiotic. What a JOKE!!! read more

AVOID at all costs! I wish I could give them a 0 Had a televisit for my son at 11:40. I took time off work to have him there. They sent me the link an hour before the appointment. I logged in and it said I was in the waiting room and provider would be there soon. I called as it had been over 30 minutes wait and I was told they would see what was taking so long. Turns out the provider had already left and was no longer in the office. I am waiting in a waiting room and she left! Now they want me to take more time off work so I can have a different appointment time with a different provider. I have now been on hold for over half an hour waiting to speak to a manager! After being on hold for almost an hour, I hung up as no one is answering. The care that we have received over time has progressively gotten worse. I have been to three dr.'s for the same concern and not one of them has done a physical on it. It is a lump on my ankle. I have also been to one and I was diagnosed without ever examining me. I was told I have carpal tunnel with ulner nerve problems but how can you know that if the dr is sitting on his chair across from me and never touches my wrist or examines it???? I was in so much pain from an injury that I went to see another dr and was told that she refuses to give meds to anyone who doesn't have recent blood work. It is a moral decision she has made. Really? Then I should not have been booked to see a dr for pain med or anti inflamatories if she refuses to provide them. I told her that I couldn't afford blood work and her respsonse was to ask for the tests for a Christmas present! All these appointments have cost me a co pay and I got absolutely nothing out of them! read more

Stay away from Brevard Health Alliance at all costs. Every person I've dealt with was more of a moron than the last. You can't call and speak to an actual person if you need someone asap. You need to call and leave a call back number and wait a minimum of 3 hours for someone to call you back and then that person is just an answering service that takes a message. Then you need to wait another 24 hours for someone to get back to you. I've been waiting over two months to get a procedure done, that could be life threatening if not done. The first time my "Physician Assnt" sent the orders in for me, she actually scheduled me for the wrong procedure. That was two months ago and I'm still waiting to get the correct one scheduled. My first meeting with her was for a physical and the only thing she did was listen to my heart and lungs...nothing else and she called that a physical. She never even asked for my medical records from my previous physician. They are not here for you medical needs, they are just a money-making scam. read more

This business makes you feel guilty for being sick. Coming from clinics in Chicago, I am absolutely floored by the lack of actual care at these facilities. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like a burden with snarky comments, disrespectful secretaries and outrageously opinionated medical 'professionals'. The quality of employees that I've come across in my various visits and those of my family has been very low. I'm sure there are exceptions hidden in the muck, but I would URGE anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere. Medical bills are expensive, but so are completely wasted hours trying to give money to a hospital that will have you in tears by the time you're leaving. And to add insult to injury, certain medications are prohibited at this facility, regardless of previous diagnosis or years of prescriptions. Personalized radical opinion on ADHD is the norm in this organization regardless of who actually needs it. Absolutely terrible policy. read more

I would give this company a zero rating if it was available. I will sum it up in point form. - moved here from another State - could not get an actual appointment for several months even though I have a history of serious health problems - jumped through all their hoops, went in and filled out paperwork, provided all my insurance information, history, etc. - was given a telephone interview with a doctor weeks later - Doctors assistant was snarky, disrespectful and chastised me for not being ready for the interview, even though it was her fault for not sending me the instructions (later found out she texted the instructions to my wife's cell phone rather than mine) - They billed me for the entire "visit" even though I had primary and secondary insurance coverage (later found out a staff member failed to enter my insurance information even though she had photocopied it) - I did not receive any follow up information from the doctor regarding tests he ordered. I called his office and spoke with his assistant. Started to explain I had been billed and she abruptly said "well you have to call billing. I has nothing to do with us.". She also said very sarcastically, "what do you want?". I told her I had not received any information yet (9 days later) on tests the doctor had ordered. She argued with me that it was mailed out the same day and I informed her that I had not received anything yet. She sounded perturbed and said she would mail it out again. No appologies, no instructions over the phone. I then asked for her name and position and there was a very long pause. I then attempted to tell her that the doctor had written false and inaccurate information on my medical portal. She kept saying "I can't hear you, you're breaking up" and hung up the phone on me. Never called me back so I know it was BS. - sent a message to the doctor to call me at his earliest convenience. - the next morning the Assistant called me back trying to tell me we had a bad connection the day before. I informed her I wanted to speak to the doctor,as requested. - doctor called me back and says "What's up?". I informed him in detail about his nasty, belligerent assistant, hanging up on me, no instructions for tests, false information on my medical record and requested he change the information. He never did. he said he would pass the information regarding his assistant on to their administration. Not sure if he ever did. - Finally received test instructions for a dexa scan as well as a cologuard test in the mail. About 12 days after ordered. Did the cologuard test and dropped it off at their clinic. Never got any results on this test until I asked about it, approximately 2 months later. Then they gave me the results. - Went in for the dexa scan test and was told they did not have it on their computer. I am used to all labs and tests being sent by computer so I did not have a hard copy with me. Was told to contact my doctor and request they fax a copy of the order to them. I phoned and was not sure if I was speaking to the doctor's assistant as his staff never identify themselves. I gave her my name, explained that the diagnostic center was requesting they fax a copy of the order to them. She then said "I can't hear you" and hung up the phone on me. I left without having the test and fired the doctor the same day. - I am almost 70 and have never seen a more incompetent and disrespectful medical facility in my life. - fast forward 4 months later, I have an excellent doctor with Health First. Staff are all extremely friendly and competent. Tests are done promptly and results usually the next day. - I requested the CEO of Brevard Health Alliance call me and was told he would within 48 hours. I never did get a phone call. Hence my review. - In summation, I would not trust Brevard Health Alliance with my dogs health care let alone my own. read more

I recently moved here from another state and Brevard Health Alliance has been terrible! I have been diagnosed twice with ADHD, once as a child and again as an adult, and have been taking Adderall with much success. I provided my diagnosis paperwork but their primary care physicians can not prescribe it. I was told I needed to meet with a psychologist which is a total waste of resources since I have already been diagnosed and am taking it with great results but I reluctantly agreed to a referral to a psychologist. I was supposed to receive a call to be scheduled that day or the next but never did. So I had to call in and wait on hold for half an hour. When I got a hold of someone I was informed that the psychologist I was referred to does not prescribe Adderall so they scheduled me with Dr. De Los Angeles who they said was the only psychologist in their company who will prescribe it. 2 hours before my appointment I got a call from the receptionist informing me that Dr. De Los Angeles does not prescribe Adderall to adults, only to children! Upon walking into Brevard Health Alliance you notice the facility is very big, open, clean. It's really not that bad at first glance. My kids go to the pediatrician and we have no issues there. However, if you are an adult you will be met with obstacle after obstacle to get anything done. The woman Felicia, who runs the front desk has consistently been rude to me and my husband. My husband called to ask about getting a dental cleaning and she cackled at him telling him adults don't get cleanings? This is incredibly confusing to me because the American Dental Association recommends that adults DO get regular cleanings. Not only that but my dental insurance says cleanings for me and my family are covered every six months. The last time I was there she told me she didn't "do paper work" and shooed me away to another woman who informed me Felicia could have in fact taken the paper work. Keep in mind I have not even reviewed my actual doctors appointment yet. When my doctor first came back she seemed nice enough but then it was made clear to me nothing was going to be done at this appointment. I wasn't able to get my HPV vaccine because they didn't have my medical records from almost 15 years ago when I did not live in the state. She asked why I was there to which I replied "I am not able to schedule a dentist appointment unless I am seen at the doctors office once a year." So she asks why I am going to the dentist. I tell her I've had issues with my tonsils and getting tonsil stones and as I'm about to tell her the second reason she cut me off to tell me the dentist won't do anything for me and that if I have tonsil stones I need to brush my teeth better! I proceed to tell her I brush, floss, mouthwash, tongue scrape, swish with salt water blah blah blah. The point is I do it all, okay? She has nothing else to say and she checks my ears for some reason and sends me on my way. It was a complete and utter waste of my time. My first experience though was with a male doctor who proceeded to tell me I shouldn't have anxiety because I am young (I have PTSD from a life threatening car accident) which had he been more personable I would have told him that. That office was on Silver Palm Avenue and it was disgustingly dirty and everyone except the woman at the front was unbelievably rude. I've said all of this to lead up to the fact that I believe this place takes advantage of poor people. I think these doctors are getting away with doing absolutely nothing for people and think they can treat the people going to these facilities as less than human. Just because we don't have money does not mean we don't deserve good health care. You are not able to go here and voice concerns about your health. They give you the run around bullshit because all they care about is getting the next person in and out. This place and the people working here are despicable. It will be an absolute relief the day my family no longer has to come here. I feel sorry for every person coming here. I don't care who you are, your life matters and your health matters! We are people BHA and we deserve to be treated as such! You have the luxury of money and private insurance but that doesn't make you better than us. I was a new patient. After waiting an hour, I was to finally get my vitals taken and was called back. On the way to the examination room, I saw the condition of the restroom. Oh my gosh. There was urine on the floor, the toilet seat, the toilet was not flushed, toilet paper off the roll - it was so unsanitary and disgusting, I came out and advised it was filthy and needed to be cleaned. The assistant/person that was escorting me to the back room, that was going to be doing my vitals check (blood pressure, pulse, temp), replied, "two young boys had just been in there". I said "well maybe the parent should be supervising". She said, "well, I have two young boys and as parents, we want them to be independent". I said, "I had children and I supervised them". I wondered how long the restroom had been in that condition... I asked if it was going to be cleaned on the way to the back room. About 40 mins later (while still waiting) I checked if the restroom had been cleaned and it was. The assistant appeared uncaring and unconcerned about anything I had to say whether it be a medical concern or the condition of the restroom. Although it took just under two hours to be in and out, I have to say other service providers at this location, for today, were professional, respectful, empathetic, and courteous. I had an appointment this morning for my two older kids in the Dental area and had to get my two younger kids to school before the appointment and it ended up making us three minutes late and they would not take us. It wasn't just a check up for their teeth. They needed to get cavities filled so it was an important appointment and there was not one person in the waiting room. It was early in the morning and the people were so rude and unkind and actually made me cry in front of my kids over three minutes. I go to the Malabar clinic and it is one of their best. I haeve gone to Babcock that one in the winn dixie plaza is not so nice. There a lot of people there and long waiting time. Registrationis not very good over there either. But I am very pleased with all the health care providers, they all have taken really good care of me.
