The office is very cute inside, and super clean. They were able to get me an appointment for later in the day to see the Doctor. Dr. Kobobel is extremely friendly, polite, professional, and gentle. I didn't even feel the needle sticks, and he explained everything. I loved this office and this doctor is awesome. I consulted with him about several others procedures including laser hair removal, and IPL. Ignore the bad reviews, it is not the experience I received.

A veteran walked into the Viera VA Outpatient Clinic, asked to see a doctor, and was turned away by newly hired Mercury Clinic interns for not having an appointment, only to suffer a stroke seven days later. The new hires reportedly found it amusing and, from what I understand, have since been fired. There's still an ongoing investigation and alleged cover-up of the incident. The interns simply weren't trained on how to handle veterans who walk into a VA clinic without appointments. The silver lining is that after all Viera VA employees were retrained because of this, they launched the Viera VA Urgent Care Clinic and two others in Florida. Orlando and Viera VA Outpatient Clinics are reportedly working hard to keep things quiet. In the end, veterans should be cautious when using the Viera VA Outpatient Clinic, as many are now choosing other VA clinics in the area. Many of the foreign-born VA clinic employees were hired during the previous administration and are not happy that President Trump and Secretary Collins are trying to weed out these bad apple employees. Hopefully things will improve at Viera VA.

There have been a few rare occasions where I needed an immediate answer after-hours, and Dr. Arcand had given me her personal cell phone number to call, which was very rare in my experiences. The only reason that I can imagine that the person who left such a negative review is that perhaps the receptionist may have been out of sorts, not a good fit for the office. From the beginning, care was very unprofessional. The nurse(?) asked if he needed stitches (as if we would know) and made my husband and I hold the water bowl and our screaming toddler's hand in a bowl to soak while she left the room. The water dripped all out and we couldn't even get his wound efficiently cleaned. When she was explaining the process of stitches to us, she looked at my husband and said "you look strong, you'll have to really use your force and hold him down" and told me because I'm pregnant I wouldn't be able to help at all. The whole process sounded horrifying and was handled very unprofessionally. After having X-rays and being there an hour, the doctor comes in and says "so, do we have a cut?"..... after we've been there for an hour being assessed because of a cut that won't stop bleeding... YES we have a cut? Anyways, they referred us to Nemours hospital in Orlando and ultimately we wasted our time coming here first. They took 3 xray photos, and only provided us with 1 so we had to redo X-rays as the hospital. So thankful we did not let them perform the stitches, it would have been terrible! His staff is always pleasant and gets you an appointment that is pretty quick when needed. Wait time in the waiting room may take a while most of the time, this seems to happen with many doctors. I do know that Dr. Vinny sees some of his patients in the hospital in the mornings or afternoons, as I have been seen several times during hospitalizations, a comfort and a concerned doctor. Many times I have seen Dr. Vinny on the same day, if not the next as the latest, if needed. His assistant nurse (C) is very thorough and friendly. I had previously promised him that I would show him my DNA blood test report from a hospital in China. So, I brought my DNA blood report to a nurse practitioner at this clinic. If I remember correctly, her name was Allison. When I arrived at the clinic, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and heart rate was very unfriendly. My hepatitis B virus test has been positive since childhood, but it is completely non-contagious. The only restriction is that I cannot donate blood. My twin daughters were born without the hepatitis B virus. However, this so-called medical professional actually told me that she needed to report my condition to the local infectious disease agency. I was speechless. How could a so-called medical professional lack such basic medical knowledge? Even now, passing by this clinic still makes me feel very uncomfortable. She made me rethink what it means to be a so-called medical professional in the United States. I encountered this just after returning from my parents' funeral in China in 2019. This in itself was adding insult to injury.
