The latte itself was not overly sweet, although I personally would have liked a slightly stronger matcha flavor. Still, it was a great drink to walk around with while exploring the local shops and community around The Barlow. Between the atmosphere, the people, and the location, it's an easy place to keep coming back to whenever I'm in Sebastopol.

Very cute vibes and it was fairly busy when we visited. The very nice older woman working the front counter seemed to be mostly on her own, so it did take awhile for her to take our order. When she finally came to us, she was so nice and apologetic. Even with the slow service at first, her kindness and warmth made up for it. After ordering our coffee, a waffle, and a breakfast burrito, we found a nice table to sit at. Unfortunately, I quickly realized most of the food here seems to be made in the microwave. This was certainly a bummer; however, the food was still ok. The waffle must have been fresh, and it was the best thing we ordered. Despite the microwave food, Coffee and Moore was still a great, adorable cafe that we enjoyed. I am sure there are nicer or more hip spots in Sebastopol, but this was a great stop for us!

But what really elevates this spot is the Barlow location itself. It is the perfect, stress-free place to relax if you have young children. The open play area with the big blue blocks is a total lifesaver--it's a safe, contained space where the kids can run around and burn off some energy while you actually get to sit back, relax, and enjoy a fantastic pastry and a hot coffee in peace. After spending over $40 and getting back to my car, I realized the remake was just steamed almond milk with no espresso at all. It's a very large venue which was nice as there was plenty of open seating. Our bartender was ok, nothing special. We asked for a bowl of water and he said there were two on the patio and pointed to one that had dog hair in it. We passed. We ordered a beer and four samplers to drink. We also ordered pizza but were told that the pizza place (Acre Pizza) couldn't do a half and half pizza and no modifications could be made. You can only add items on. So we ordered two pizzas and waited the 20-25 minutes. The pizza was ok, but nothing spectacular for the cost of 33 dollars per pizza, mine was a little burnt as well. The pizza came with two flimsy plates a few napkins and exactly 1 packet of red peppers and 1 packed of grated cheese. Just a heads up the Acre Pizza is a few doors down and when comparing menus there is a $5.00 per pizza mark up.

I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here!

Don't let the name fool you that they only have cookies as they have many baked goods including breads and pastries. During my visit I enjoyed their focaccia and scones. Both were so delicious! The scones were so light and tasty and some of the best I've ever had! They have a cute seating area with patio furniture and a couple of tables right out front. They make your coffee and have a side window for you to grab your coffee from. The staff was very friendly during my visit. I can't wait to come back soon to try more delicious goods!
