Nice independent coffee shop in Rincon Valley. Located for easy arrival from many local neighborhoods and Oakmont. We ordered breakfast items. Breakfast burrito with bacon. Hardly any bacon. Clean, nutritious, scrambled eggy, ample size. Grilled tortilla. Enjoyable. Don't expect Mexican flavors or spiciness. Colleen's Coffee Shop is nestled in some quiet back hills of Santa Rosa. My boyfriend and I were staying closeby at an Airbnb and really needed something in the morning to start us off right before wine tasting. Colleen's Coffee Shop was just down the road and we're always down for a local cup! Colleen's Coffee Shop was decked out for St. Paddy's day! Everything seemed really neat and tidy. There is tons of parking out front with a seating area; perfect for enjoying the morning. We were welcomed so warmly when we walked in. We each ordered a coffee; I got a mocha with almond milk and my bf got a latte. We both decided to order a plain bagel with cream cheese. I assume we were helped by Colleen herself. She was so thoughtful asking if our coffee was hot/sweet enough. Our coffees were absolute perfection! We were asked if we wanted cream cheese or butter on our bagels, to which we responded with cream cheese. The gentleman working with Colleen not only toasted our bagels to golden brown perfection, but he also was NOT shy about slathering them with cream cheese. It's like they made our items like how they would like them. I always appreciate being thought of that way. Colleen's Coffee Shop was overall a delightful experience. I went into Colleen's coffee shop and ordered a chai at first. I took a sip once I sat down and I knew this wasn't it... The cup was still full when I went up to the counter and asked if I could get a refund or have it replaced with an iced tea. The Barista got the iced tea with ALL the attitude in the world and even asked me if I expected the tea to be free?? Then she told me "it's not my fault your ordered something you didn't like." I stopped here because I was on this side of town for a job. And honestly an old friend owned this place,"Colleen". So you're probably thinking I'm very biased and going to give this a good review because I know the owner. But if I had not been blown away by how nice the place was, I wouldn't have gone through the hassle of leaving a review at all. I would have just said oh good to see you I'm glad you have a nice shop and left. But even if I had not known Colleen, I would have been blown away. I came here a couple days before Christmas and it's decorated to the nines. It has a very cozy atmosphere, it just seems like a nice place where you would just want to hang out with some friends drink coffee, maybe get a breakfast sandwich or a muffin and have some good coffee. I have to tell you I was honestly expecting the coffee to be so so. So often you go to a lot of little shops that are not Starbucks or Pete's and it might have a nice atmosphere but the coffee isn't that great. I had an Americano and I have to say it was one of the best that I've had a long time. Got that with this really good apple muffin. Anyway if you were on the east side of Santa Rosa, I highly recommend dropping in to this coffee shop and getting a treat. It looks like she has teas all the different coffees soft drinks and smoothies. This will be a place I'll stop by every time I have jobs over on this side of town. read more

Went here with my mom. Cute little place. Indoor seating is a little odd with long tables; that said two groups came in and filled half of them up so I guess they know what they're doing. I think there's an outdoor space but I didn't see it. We had well made lattes. Staff was super nice and friendly and offered to heat up our croissant and even split it onto two plates when she heard us say we were splitting it. Would totally go back and have a proper breakfast and support this place. read more

Very nice stop for an iced chai tea latte and couple of nice, perfectly sweet mini cinnamon rolls (75 cents each, so hard to beat that). Friendly service and a good recommendation on the sweetness level of the chai. Time to come back for a meal. read more

She saw my review and she explained that there was a miscommunication- I got someone's sandwich by mistake and by the time I figured it out- they were out of tri tip. Checked the place out Sunday. Please take your help to McDonalds or Starbucks to learn how to greet people. Not friendly. Food was good but looked like a children's plate for $10. Colleen's is a wonderful coffee shop and the owner, Colleen, is one of the sweetest people you'll ever hope to meet (as well as her son, who also works there and her daughter who runs the coffee shop in Bodega)! I met a group of friends at Colleen's Coffee Shop at Mountain Hawk Drive and Highway 12. I paid for a 20 ounce coffee in a paper cup, the largest of 3 sizes. I was sure the cup was not 20 ounces. So I took my empty cup home and measured it with a Pyrex measuring cup. It was only 16 ounces. I took my empty cup with me when I came back in 2 weeks to meet with our group again. I told Colleen what I just stated. She said "that's our 20 ounce cup. Are you going to order something?" I was very polite. I said "yes but my cup is only 16 ounces." She would not listen any further and said "order something or get out." I went to the table of my friends and told them what happened. Colleen came over and said "You have to leave now." I said, "I will put this on social media" and I left. I did not put this on social media at that time. I returned about a month later to meet with our group again. When I got up to order I said "a small coffee." She said "were you here before with an empty cup?" I said "yes." Colleen said "I don't think I want to serve you." I said "ok" and I walked out. Our group has been meeting at Colleen's every week for at least a year and now without me. read more
