They also sell some different breads. I ended up getting a triple chip, salted caramel,and a chocolate chocolate chip. Really moist and chewy. I like my cookies chewy not crispy. The next day still moist. The owner was very helpful,when we asked for a small cup of water. She gladly poured us a cup. Side note, I wish that I had known before hand . They prefer cash to credit. A lot of small businesses are hit with high processing fees for using credit transactions. I usually try to help support small businesses. But unfortunately I no longer carry cash. Cute little cookie shop in downtown Sebastopol. Easy to walk to from nearby parking areas and unique flavor options for cookies. To start, I do think the per-cookie prices are a bit high. However, the cookies are good, and the charming shop and staff make up for the high-ish prices. The flavors here are really unique. They have many classics, as well as some specialties like lavender, cinnamon, and ginger. I really enjoyed the lavender one. It was satisfying but also refreshing, all stuffed into a cookie. There isn't really anywhere to sit here, but I think it's more of a to-go place anyway. A beverage and cookie make a great snack to walk down the streets of downtown Sebastopol. This is also a great place for a gift. My grandma ended up grabbing some cookies as a gift for her neighbor, and they wrapped them up so nicely for her. read more

I CANNOT believe that I haven't reviewed this business already? You know those places that you go to so religiously that it's not even a choice anymore? This is one of those places for me. I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here! read more

I recently stumbled upon Sebastopol Cookie Company in downtown Sebastopol and this might just be my new favorite find! Don't let the name fool you that they only have cookies as they have many baked goods including breads and pastries. During my visit I enjoyed their focaccia and scones. Both were so delicious! The scones were so light and tasty and some of the best I've ever had! They have a cute seating area with patio furniture and a couple of tables right out front. They make your coffee and have a side window for you to grab your coffee from. The staff was very friendly during my visit. I can't wait to come back soon to try more delicious goods! read more

During my short trip to Sebastapol with my family, we visited this tiny coffee shop twice to refuel on refreshing coffee and pastries. They unique seasonal drinks and also a large selection of syrups if you'd like to make your own drink. As for the cookies, they also have lots of options catering to different diets. The first day, I ordered a White Chocolate Lavender latte- (5*) Good flavor, very creamy lavender drink balancing the coffee flavor with a White Chocolate Almond Cookie- 5*. I'd never had a white chocolate almond cookie before and was very pleasantly surprised by balanced nuttiness and chewiness of the cookie. Second visit, I decided to customize my own latte, and the staff was very sweet responding I could pick as many as I wanted! My coconut almond latte was not my favorite, but I think that's bad decisions on my part . The highlight of my second visit was a day old raspberry scone that the owner offered to warm up for me. Every time I make my way to Sebastopol I always have to stop here for my cookie fix. Be careful though because whatever you order will be gone before you know it. I can eat dozens of these cookies. Their coffee is also really good so that doesn't hurt either. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming as well! And, if you are just walking by or have your furry friend with you, you can always order at their little window that meets you outside. Let's start with the good! The semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies and the oatmeal raisin cookies have a nice crisp to them with a chewy center. The lemon lavender cookies are soft especially with the center being of like a light cake. Love that the cookies are served warm (was pleasantly surprised being handed a warm packet of cookies especially on a chilly morning)! Taste-wise, the flavors are a bit too subtle for my liking (well, the semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies are tasty mainly because of the chips). Wanted more lemon lavender flavor in the lemon lavender cookies but I suppose they could be meant more as a lightly-flavored cookie complement to like a cup of tea. Even for the oatmeal raisin cookies I felt that the raisins are few and far between. Also, wasn't really thrilled that there were a couple flies in the display case that contained the cookies (was actually a bit hesitant getting any items here but I made the drive over here already and *technically* I didn't see any of them land on the cookies lol.....). If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. This cookie shop is one of my top favorite places in Sebastopol, by far! Their cookies are DELICIOUS!! Came here with my mom and a couple of dogs, they have an outside window that you can order from which is awesome, it's unique and I would honestly come back just for that convenience especially if I have my dogs again like I did. This review is only for the gluten free cookies, we got the four different types that they offered, they did all seem to have the same look/base so it was a little hard to tell which cookie was which until you ate them, they did have a little bit of grittiness but that's okay, it's hard to get the right consistency and texture sometimes and it's not their specialty. From the gf cookies we got, I did enjoy the chocolate chip, it was like an oatmeal chocolate chip. I do wish they had a little more variety, I saw on the regular menu that they had a peanut butter cookie and for a second I lit up until I remembered I couldn't have that. SO SO SO GOOD! My husband and I wandered in here after seeing their sign for fresh focaccia outside. It's a pretty small little shop, with bar seating against the window inside, tables & chairs outside, and cute local art & handmade goods for sale alongside the cafe's treats. We were immediately greeted by several very sweet employees who informed us the first focaccia of the day (Pesto, caramelized onion, & tomato with balsamic reduction sauce) would be out of the oven in about ten minutes. The girl working the oven even offered to set aside one for us so we could come back and grab it. We came back about ten minutes later and ordered a black iced tea and a Gravenstein apple tart to go along with our focaccia. All of them were delicious! The barista helping us was also super friendly, gave great recommendations, and made sure we loved everything. My only regret is not getting the names of the girls working there because they went above & beyond in customer service. My husband and I work in the service industry, & so many people take being kind to customers for granted. These women were inviting, funny, down to earth, and incredible cooks & baristas! Came back the next morning when they were open and got the lemon lavender, coco java, backpacker, and white chocolate almond. Proceeded to have 1 cookie per day over the next 4 days and the cookies still held up even on day 4. My favorite was the lemon lavender. It wasn't too overpowering, and had just enough flavor. My least favorite was the backpacker. It's definitely on the healthier side with all the oatmeal, but I feel like that sucks the fun out of eating a cookie. read more

We were just wandering thru downtown Sebastopol and came upon this super adorable bakery! We'd just had lunch, booze, and dessert in The Barlow but I thought yolo, let's get some cookies too. The lemon lavender was really lavender without being overwhelming or soapy -- so good! Their coffee was great too, for something less sweet. The best part was when the owner came out and chatted with us, turns out she just bought the spot this spring in the middle of COVID and have had to figure it out as she went (as we all did right?) which is pretty incredible.
