    Almond white chocolate cookie
    Tiffany L.

During my short trip to Sebastapol with my family, we visited this tiny coffee shop twice to refuel on refreshing coffee and pastries. They unique seasonal drinks and also a large selection of syrups if you'd like to make your own drink. As for the cookies, they also have lots of options catering to different diets. The first day, I ordered a White Chocolate Lavender latte- (5*) Good flavor, very creamy lavender drink balancing the coffee flavor with a White Chocolate Almond Cookie- 5*. I'd never had a white chocolate almond cookie before and was very pleasantly surprised by balanced nuttiness and chewiness of the cookie. Second visit, I decided to customize my own latte, and the staff was very sweet responding I could pick as many as I wanted! My coconut almond latte was not my favorite, but I think that's bad decisions on my part . The highlight of my second visit was a day old raspberry scone that the owner offered to warm up for me. I'm not a fan of scones, I usually think they're dry but this one was so buttery and crumbly without being dry.

Cookies, cakes, pastries, coffee, tea, and so much more to choose from! You can use the takeout window to order quickly or come inside and take a seat inside or outside and enjoy your drinks and treats! Ambiance welcoming and cozy. Staff are very kind, knowledgeable, welcoming, and the cookies are baked fresh daily with seasonal options! I spoke to the owner as she shared that it's a family ran establishment working with her partner and daughter and family and friends. I tried the Salted Chocolate fudge cookie and it was divine, can't wait to be back and try their popular classic chocolate chip cookie. Thank you for being apart of Sebastopol community, what a beauty.

Bronwyn and her staff. Always have a smile on!

Super cozy little cookie company with fabulous fresh cookies and sweets! I always get the double chocolate cookie for $2.50.....soooo so worth it!!!! Service is warm and friendly. Sometimes there is a line out the door and sometimes they are all out of the really good cookies by 12:30 PM. Ample parking on Main Street and nearby side streets.

Every time I make my way to Sebastopol I always have to stop here for my cookie fix. Be careful though because whatever you order will be gone before you know it. I can eat dozens of these cookies. Their coffee is also really good so that doesn't hurt either. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming as well! And, if you are just walking by or have your furry friend with you, you can always order at their little window that meets you outside. To top things off, they wrap your cookies with some string and a flower to make them look pretty. Okay, now I'm craving cookies and need to get myself back here soon!

    Thanks for the cookies

Such a cute and quaint little bakery! The price of the cookies were fair, given the size and quality. The texture of the Lemon Lavender cookie was soft and the flavor was subtle; it was not overly sweet. The Backpacker was on the chewier and sweeter side; it was an oatmeal cookie with raisins, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Personally, I thought there was too much going on. I would've preferred a simpler cookie.

Let's start with the good! The semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies and the oatmeal raisin cookies have a nice crisp to them with a chewy center. The lemon lavender cookies are soft especially with the center being of like a light cake. Love that the cookies are served warm (was pleasantly surprised being handed a warm packet of cookies especially on a chilly morning)! Taste-wise, the flavors are a bit too subtle for my liking (well, the semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies are tasty mainly because of the chips). Wanted more lemon lavender flavor in the lemon lavender cookies but I suppose they could be meant more as a lightly-flavored cookie complement to like a cup of tea. Even for the oatmeal raisin cookies I felt that the raisins are few and far between. Also, wasn't really thrilled that there were a couple flies in the display case that contained the cookies (was actually a bit hesitant getting any items here but I made the drive over here already and *technically* I didn't see any of them land on the cookies lol.....). Some things I liked, some things not so much. Hence my overall average rating of 3 stars.

I LOVEEEE THIS PLACE!! They have cookie options for everyone which is always a delight when I am with friends that have dietary restrictions! The cookies are amazing, the place is such a cute little hole in the wall. Everything was delicious, I always love coming here. The service was great, everyone was so friendly, helpful and patient!

Cute cookie box for a few bucks extra! Perfect for gifting :)

Sarmentine is located in The Barlow in a premium corner location. Easy and free parking nearby. They offer phenomenal pastries and coffee beverages. I tried some of the day-old pastries as well as a selection of fresh stuff such as the pain suisse, canele, and some others. Everything was amazing- even the day-olds. I also thought the pricing here was reasonable for great pastries. I have paid much more than what I paid at Sarmentine for less scrumptious pastries. The staff who helped me out were kind, and they offered some great recommendations as to what I should order. The inside/outside dining space is a great touch, and they have a great kids' area right outside as part of The Barlow. Worth the visit!

I ordered an almond milk latte but was initially given regular milk. They remade it, though they seemed annoyed about the mistake. After spending over $40 and getting back to my car, I realized the remake was just steamed almond milk with no espresso at all. For a bakery with such a strong reputation and premium prices, I'd expect a little more attention to detail and a better customer experience.

The patisserie is cozy with a few tables inside and a few small tables on the patio. As you enter, you immediately see the glass case with beautiful pastries and cakes. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet. The sandwiches on the middle level were chicken, egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Our favorite was the chicken salad. Overall, it was a fun experience to savor all of their small samplings and Gergana is there to ensure everything runs smoothly so that your time there is relaxing and extra special. She even gave us a hug as we were leaving. I look forward to visiting this local patisserie again for a cup of a tea and a beautiful pastry.

Pros: I've visited several times for the bakery. The scones are my favorite as they are quite large and delicious, and I also tend to buy the Russian tea cakes as well. The macarons are a little harder and chewier than I expected, but they are still amazing. I actually found Patissierie Angelica specifically because I was looking for high tea services and thus have had their West County High Tea service twice. The second time I had the high tea service, I was given a private room! I particularly enjoyed the lemon curd, jam, and clotted cream with the scones. Patisserie Angelica is also located in a quiet and spacious part of Sebastopol; there is a parking lot that usually has space. Cons: The private room became a little stuffy as there was no air flow (other than an open window) nor air conditioning. However, things might have changed from the last time I was there. Overall: The bakery is truly amazing. I absolutely enjoy the desserts sold there and would love to have more of the high tea service in the future. It's perfect for private parties!

It's a very small shop with a big counter space for ordering and displaying their pastries and bread. It looks like their work area may be behind the counter so to prevent inside crowding, a limited amount of people go in at a time. On Sundays, they have scones! So I ordered a Strawberry Pistachio scone to try and we picked up two Small Chocolate Thimbles to try. For take-home bread, we bought the Forestville French Baguette, Sesame Epi Baguette, and a Country Bird. We also picked up a tea cake to enjoy at home. I can only review the scone and Thimbles since at the time of this review, this is what I've tried. The Strawberry Pistachio scone was not too sweet, which is great. I like how the pistachio bits add flavor to it, kinda wish they added more pistachio. I'm not sure I personally like the strawberries since they're kinda mushy, but my partner really liked the addition of strawberries because it's like adding cream to a biscuit and this scone was more like a biscuit than a scone (in our opinion). It's buttery, airy, and light, but it's pretty good! I think the Thimbles were better though. I can only describe it as a fudgy brownie with a thin crusty outer layer. What a decadent little treat! I can see why this is a local favorite! Their pastries are delicious. I can't wait to see how the bread tastes like and I'm glad we stopped by to pick up some goodies!
