Love this quaint coffee and tea spot! Great ambiance, quick and friendly service. Great place to study, knit, or just hang with family/friends! Very cozy, like-home feel with ample seating in the back!

One of the best bubble tea I ever had. Went back back 2 back days.

6/10/25 The weather was perfect and I have not stoped by to get bubble tea in over 3 weeks. Long overdue, the lady that was behind the register was amazing as always, from welcoming, positive energy, to recommending things to try. So I decided to try the shrimp and avocado wrap. Never seen before , but she recommended it and it was light delicious and filling, and the sauce that came with it was delicious.

"Taiwanese popcorn chicken" was simply just fried chicken. Kind of embarrassing for a boba place.

Needed a boba shop to stop by and try here in the city after walking around all day! Food - We ordered a passion fruit green tea and shared some popcorn chicken and fries. The passion fruit green tea was so refreshing on the nice Spring day! The fries were also a great snack and the popcorn chicken was freshly made. It all went well with the drink! Service - The two people up front were incredibly friendly. The food came pretty quickly and the drinks were made very well! No complaints. They were super nice too about letting my dogs friend walk through the shop for us to sit in the back patio. Environment - TONS of seating area! There's seating area at the back as well. It seems like a great place to chill and hang out or study. Such a great spot!

Got the taro bubble tea with 25 percent sweetness which they said is made with a taro syrup purée. Even at 25 percent it was sooo sweet! Had that artificial bubble tea flavor. Chucked it after a couple sips.

    Young Chow Fried Rice

I don't even drink coffee anymore but this is still one of my new favorite go-to spots because they are way more than just a cafe. They are a cafe that serves up some bomb bubble tea, yummy dumplings and delicious fried rice just to name a few. They are so many options that anyone is sure to find something if not everything appealing to them. The shining star is their Young Chow Fried Rice which is their version of a house special fried rice that is light and flavorful; you can actually taste each of the meats and the hint of sesame oil! I frequently pair that with an order of Chicken Wontons which I opted for pan-fried over just steamed. I'm even a fan of the shredded carrots and cucumbers as garnish as well the sides of sweet soy and chili oil that accompanies the dumplings and wontons. Let me not forget about those Dan Dan noodles that perfectly cooked every time. A shoutout goes to the staff for their great customer service. Ivy and Jason are always attentive. The best indicator of good service here is consistently getting my order correct. I appreciate that so much because I'm often just running in, ordering and eating while I drive because the food is good! I highly recommend checking them out when in the area! I would avoid them during the after school hours during the week though because they get swamped by the local school kids.

    Fried Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich

I was here yesterday for a Yelp event and I left my umbrella here; I called this morning, and they were super nice about it. I came back to get it and ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich ($12) because I couldn't get enough of it yesterday and oh my goodness, it was waaaay better because it was super fresh and hot. Word of warning though: devour immediately. I took a bite (almost burned my tongue) and it was heavenly, but it had cooled down significantly 20 minutes later by the time I got home and the texture of everything was totally different. At its prime, the chicken is crispy, juicy and flavorful; the egg oozes with yolk and elevates the sandwich; the carrots and cucumber are crunchy and cold; the spicy mayo ties everything together. It's nice that this also comes with freshly fried fries; I would absolutely recommend getting this to stay. At around 5:15pm on a weeknight, Brew Memories is not very crowded; it looked like most of the tables were occupied, but it might have been possible to snag a seat for some studying. There's an area by the front that is standing room only, so I grabbed a bite there before heading out. I would definitely come back to chill or study on a weekend with a drink in hand and tasty food to tide me throughout the day - yay for free wifi!

    Iced Matcha Brown Sugar Latte

I like to occasionally work in cafes but don't always want coffee, so Brew Memories was perfect. They have ample seating indoors (with outlets) and in their backyard. I came around 10am on a Thursday and was able to score a table easily. It seems like they cater mainly to WFH patrons in the morning, but it gets more crowded in the afternoon. I got the chicken bao ($3.50) and the matcha brown sugar latte ($6). The bao made for a nice light lunch but unfortunately the matcha latte needed more matcha as it tasted mainly like sugary milk. Their fruit teas looked to be more popular so maybe will try that next time.

    Matcha Strawberry Bubble Tea

Came over here for some bubble tea while waiting for my tax appointment across the street. Cute place and staff are nice. Good pastries, I had the bear one since it was so cute. It was chewy and moist and tasted like coconut and vanilla. The matcha strawberry bubble tea was unique, not super strawberry flavored but enough. Very sweet but good. The boba tasted very fresh and soft. Total for the drink and pastry was around 9 dollars, so a little hefty. The drink was one size and not that big. But I loved the way everything tasted!

    Jessie W.

This place kind of took me by surprise, only cause I didn't expect it to be so cute and warm! I didn't get a chance to try their food, however, I did try their lychee green tea and it was very refreshing and sweet. A huge plus is them being a cafe with outlets... I feel like not a lot of cafes have outlets anymore! Awesome customer service. Everyone is very attentive and willing to provide any suggestions if needed. Perfect little instagrammable spot :)

Just fyi, their menu says their macchiato is "(8oz)". But it is not. It's way smaller. They didn't offer a drink replacement.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

I have wanted to try this spot for some time, and wound up a bit disappointed with what I tried…read more They feature a tahini cold brew, which features two things I love dearly, but instead of a rich cold brew it was overly sweet and icy--more like a slushie. Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
