Yup. This is exactly what you want it to taste like. My go-to is the almond milk Cortado but wanted more volume so ordered an almond milk flat white. Aroma was amazing. Totally filled the air around me with a sweet caramel smell. The espresso was the right balance of bitter and acidity. Although slightly long after taste. Overall a very smooth taste throughout. The espresso stood out while the milk played a solid support role in helping to cut and balance out the strength of the shot. A good Batman and Robin combination. Overall - this place is really good. It's an Asian-Vietnamese fusion style cafe. You walk in and smell Bao buns, dumplings, baked goods, and roasted coffee beans. Basically heaven. Cute spot with a nice little back patio. Had a hot boba tea here that was pretty tasty, and a couple of bao that were good but I wasn't blown away by. On top of that it was a little frustrating that the employee had his mask under his nose the whole time and didn't make me feel wonderfully comfortable. I'd be open to trying this spot again because the boba tea was good and it's a cute spot, but it was just an average experience for me this time. read more

I was really excited to try this place. I was disappointed because I believe it may have been over hyped. The vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua da) tasted odd. It was more akin to an iced coffee with some sort of toffee syrup? I didn't see them make it so I couldn't tell if they used condensed milk but it didn't taste like it. Still good coffee but just not what I was hoping for. The spicy pork banh mi was different than most vietnamese banh mi as well. I couldn't see any pate or vietnamese mayo or jalapenos, instead they use some sort of spicy sauce which is tasty but again, not what I was looking forward too. The pork was well seasoned and cooked well. I don't know if it was the sauce or the pickled carrots, but something was way too wet and my sandwich was dripping. Normally the baguette should be perfectly soft with a toasty crunchy outside, but instead it was falling apart on me. Lastly, whoever put my sandwich together did it a bit too hastily. None of the carrots actually made it inside of the bread so I had to take it out of the wrapper and refill the sandwich before eating. The staff was friendly and efficient! read more

Passed by the cutest signs for this place and went in on a whim. Absolutely LOVE everything about it. It's very well spaced out, quiet interior that goes deep enough so you don't get the noise from the cashier but also close enough for a nice cafe ambience feel. The staff were very kind in answering my questions. My roommate and I ended up getting a tea each, popcorn chicken to share and a pork buns. First of all, the tea is phenomenal. I got the passion fruit w/ strawberry chunks, and it was just what you'd imagine it to be, refreshing and fruity. My roomie got the rose lavender tea with aloe and it was fragrant and even more refreshing-- I could see myself get this on a hot summer day. Popcorn chicken came in a great size (jumbo popcorn chicken anyone?) and the bao was soft and pork was delicious. Just a note that the bao is the bun kind and not the half bao as I originally thought. Would definitely come back and try more flavours and food! A new coffee spot in the neighborhood. They also offer bubble teas, iced teas, and some asian eats. It's a very spacious cafe with seating in the back and also garden seating I believe. The workers were very friendly and prices arent any higher than the other coffee places around the area. Got an iced latte and milk tea. Both large, total price including tip came out to around $10. The latte was good, they use kobrick coffee beans, there was a strong express flavor. The milk tea was decent, it's on the lighter side, wasn't too sweet, not a strong tea taste. Similar to ones you would get at a chinese bakery. Their tapioca was just decent, nothing special about it. Definitely a very cozy and nice looking space, once indoor seating is allowed I would imagine a lot of people with their laptops sipping coffee in the back. I'll definitely be back for more coffee when I'm in the area, looking forward to trying their food too. read more

I'll start by saying that this place makes the best Banh mi I've ever had. Period. It's not even close. The spicy pork banh mi literally brought tears to my eyes. Their bubble tea is solid as well, with a pretty diverse range of flavors. Although we haven't been able to experience it as much because of the circumstances this year, their indoor space seems really cozy and is the kind of place you could camp out doing your work for hours. The backyard is also pretty relaxed. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. All in all, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Brooklyn, especially if you're looking for quick takeout or even a place to get some work done with lunch and bubble tea. read more

Wanted to check out this place for the longest. So had to go to NYP to pick up a prescription. Today was the day, ordered my bubble tea, scallion pancake and wonton soup w/ fried wontons. As I waited, I glanced at the surroundings. Very comfortable setting, I'd love to come back. Finally my order came HUZZAH! Jumped into my Uber, arrived home. Decontaminated from the world outside. Open up my bag.... It was miso soup and fried wontons!! Wrong order!! Why four 's?? Although it wasn't what I wanted.. the wontons was fried very well. Not too greasy. My miso soup, was alright. I went to Brew Memories on October 18th, 2023. If you want to walk into something cute then I suggest you JUMP into Brew memories. JUMP up and down in line as you wait for what is arguably the best coffee off of 7th St & 7th avenue. The moment it streamed into my mouth, I knew I was going to remember this brewed memory. The ordering process was real smooth here... like a doorknob. The barista asked me what I wanted and I answered really fast! I told them, "I'd like an Iced Rose Latte, please". She hit me with, "What size?". I liked that. "Does the large size have more espresso in it?" I responded. Her answer would blow my mind off. She answers with a laugh and a "no" slips out. I wanted to spin and celebrate right there. What a phenomenal answer. My phone paid for the order in record time. Thanks, Apple Pay (another delicious advantage). The coffee here is delicious. I went with my kid Saturday to get a quick cold drink and rest from our walk. Looks like these guys just opened up as some of the place was still a little cluttered and being organized. However, it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Plenty of hand sanitizer being shared. I can tell that these guys will be a quick neighborhood favorite because even though they're new, I can tell there are already a few regulars coming in for repeat business. Thai tea with boba bubbles. Good quality and I can tell they do not use the cheap stuff. Definitely a steal for the level of quality. The food is the main draw to this little cafe. Dumplings and scallion pancakes frequently hit the spot, and are worth trying (but definitely give them some time to cool down). The drinks, they're mid-par at best. If you're looking for your standard issue dose of caffeine so you can get your tickets closed in-sprint, this is definitely the spot to go to as you won't have much luck finding seating anywhere else. Otherwise, you've got Variety, Ghost Brewing and that Italian spot over by the illicit dispensary for real coffee. Mainly what irked me about this place every time I went was how little care goes into the facilities. In all the times I've gone there, not once has the bathroom ever had paper towels to dry your hands with, which wouldn't be as big a deal if the hand dryer worked. Gives me serious doubts as to the hygiene employed by the staff there. To summarize, it's a mixed bag. They get plenty right, but fail at getting the easy stuff done. read more

There are plenty of coffee shops out there, but it's not easy to find a great place to get tea (bubbles or otherwise). Brew Memories fills that void in the Park Slope area. Skip the food, get the bubble tea. I've had the regular Brown Sugar, Matcha Brown Sugar, and Thai Iced Tea. They also have Asian snacks like steamed buns, pineapple buns, and sponge cake (depending on availability) that are just a-ok. There is also a hot food menu. I've gotten the dan dan mian, and it was very average with not enough sauce to stir into the noodles (I'm Sichuanese, so yes I would know!). I like stopping in here on the occasional afternoon for a sugar boost. There is a sitting area with tables and a set of couches as well as a small backyard. With free wifi + bubble tea, you'll often find high school kids camping out here with their laptops. Only 2 gripes I have is: 1. The AC is usually way too strong in the back. Even in 80 degree weather, I find myself wishing I was wearing jeans and a sweater. I don't know how those kids do it, sitting there with their laptops: Call me a grandmother, but I couldn't sit comfortably for more than 10 minutes with the AC on full blast. 2. The tables aren't always wiped clean. They should be more attentive about this since it's not a great customer experience to have to wipe down a table yourself like you're at a food court. Came here for the first time today with friends and ordered a passion fruit tea with peach chunks as well as smoked salmon sandwich. Both were really good! They have a huge selection of drinks so it was tough trying to figure out what to pick since they all sounded tasty. The place is also cute and clean and they have an outside area in the back of the cafe. It was a bit chilly today so we didn't go outside but it would've been perfect once its warmer. If you want to eat inside they'll check your temperature and everyone was wearing masks so I felt pretty safe. Will definitely come back again! read more

One of my favorite spots to go to in the area since I work at the hospital! Honestly it's become kind of a no brainer if I want some bubble tea or snacks during my lunch break. They serve amazing bubble tea with chewy soft boba (reasonable price as well). If you walk to the back, there is a cozy seating area and outlets too (under bench). This place is whatever rating level under subpar falls. The atmosphere and clean set up of the establishment leads you to believe you will be getting quality service and food here but that sadly is never the case. The place is never open on time, and they almost never seem to have anything that you order. They either "just ran out", "not ready yet", or a different excuse depending on the day of the week and time of day. One morning I got there at 7:30 am, half an hour after they are supposed to be open for business and they were still in there setting up and had nothing available. I asked when it would be, and was told "about an hour from now they are still making it in the kitchen". I gave them extra time and returned, only for the item I wanted to be "sold out" (for people not born yesterday, they never had the item and wasted my time). If you are lucky to score some food, you will notice the lack of flavor and overall goodness. ZERO FLAVOR. I wish the food and service looked as good as the interior. At least its clean. Want the food and tea? Go elsewhere. EDIT: I noticed a pattern when looking at the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this place, and if you pay attention so will you. Do not be fooled. read more

Ok. The cafe is more of an eye pleaser than anything else. I gave this Brew Memories 2 tries and both times the drinks have scored below my expectations. I've tried the rose matcha and brown sugar boba and I will say, something about the sweetness and flavor are throw offs for me. It's overbearingly sweet however it tastes like the sweetness is watered down but still not enough where you could still taste how overbearingly sweet it is and flavor wise, again, the sweetness almost overpowers it. It's a bit weird since sugar enhances a drink like boba and lattes but somehow the drinks just taste like diluted sweetness with a hint of flavor. read more

The short Asian girl that works there is extremely unprofessional. Doesn't greet customers, has a blank expression when you speak to her, and gets orders wrong. The tall Asian young man on the other hand makes amazing drinks and is friendly and professional. The former should maybe reconsider a profession in hospitality.
