Warm and welcoming vibes with solid pastry and great coffee. I tend to swing by after enjoying time in Prospect Park, and it always hits the mark. The everything croissant is my go-to, though there are lots of both sweet and savory options available. The space is a big part of the draw. It's a great place to read or work or meet with a small group of friends. Lots of light, seating both inside and outdoors, which makes it an excellent spot to visit anytime of the year. They've got a really nice iced tea selection in the warmer weather!

My favorite coffee shop of late. Great coffee and the space is well lit and meticulous. They let people work on their laptops and yet it never feels crowded. Super nice staff too.

Super cute espresso bar with a lot of seating inside and some tables outside. They have a few specialty espresso drinks that look delicious.

I had walked by this place many times and admired the overall aesthetic and shade of blue on the awning and seating on my way to something that didn't give me time to stop for coffee, and I bookmarked it for a leisurely, sunny day. I expected to love it here, and I did. I tried both an espresso drink (decaf iced cappuccino) and a summer special Lavender London Fog, and both were delightful, the latter--Earl Grey tea, lavender syrup, and (oat) milk--a revelation (and a soporific despite the caffeinated tea). I sat inside with a friend chatting for a few hours, but most of the other patrons were on their laptops. This would be a great third space for people whose work isn't confidential and a great place to read, with its own library. I will definitely be back to try a regular cup of coffee, cold brew, and unadulterated espresso and to learn more about the beans, which appear proprietary.

New cafe a block from Bartel-Prichard square! Easy access to F/G subway and lots of buses. Good lucking parking. Order to go on your way to transit or prospect park, or stay and enjoy the vibes. Plenty of seating indoors, including couches as well as tables with chairs. Big windows, lots of natural light, indoor greenery. Music isn't oppressively loud. There are also a few tables and chairs outdoors (actually outdoors, not in plastic heated bubbles). Nice friendly staff, expertly prepared espresso coffees, teas, a variety of savory and sweet pastries and other sweets. Free WiFi! Will definitely be back.

One of my favorite coffee places for when I visit Brooklyn! The baristas are always very helpful and kind.

New favorite spot with the best coffee for blocks. And a great place to sit and read.

It's actually nice and bright as well - a cafe with natural light that flows horizontally- that's the key right there !

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
