I absolutely love our Einstein bagels in Lubbock! Tanya, Armando, Daniel, Cody, Corey, Krystal, Jade, and Linda are amazing! It always feels like I'm hanging out with friends because they make it such a warm and inviting environment! It is always clean and well kept. The bagels are always perfect and delicious! All of the bagels taste incredible, but the blueberry bagels are hands-down some of the best bagels I have ever had! I look forward to my weekly Einstein visit!! I had a terrible experience at Einstein Bros. Bagels. I ordered a specific bagel -- a more expensive one -- and when they called my name, I picked up the bag that was handed to me, assuming it was correct like everyone else's order. Turns out, they gave me the wrong bagel. When I went to explain the situation, the manager was incredibly rude and told me it was my fault for picking it up saying I had to have picked up someone else's order, even though they called my name and never called it again after that. Everyone in the place already had their order. So I know for a fact it was mine. He refused to fix the mistake unless I paid for another bagel, even though I already paid for a more expensive item! I have mixed feelings about my visit to Einstein Bagels. While I'm a sucker for a good bagel, my recent visit left me underwhelmed. I ordered two everything bagels with onion and chive shmear, as well as two chocolate chip bagels with honey almond shmear, the bagels were soft and nice, but the stinginess with the shmear was disappointing. Ive attached a picture as an example. All four bagels had just a meager spread of shmear, leaving much to be desired. went this morning for bagels and 2 cups of coffee , spending $14 for a rude cashier. She was obviously a manager as she spoke rudely to an employee. She told me, in a sassy voice that " they only have two kinds of bagels!"Coming from Dallas and like the website advertises, there is a variety of bagel flavors and flavored cream cheese. She told me "it's only been that way for three years" !! . ( SHE, needs to check her website and look at all the variety of bagels you can order, ).This is suppose to be a bagel store, , I only have two flavors at this location,????? I proceeded to order one of each ( plain and an everything bagel) As I waited for my order, a guy came out , screamed my name and told me they were out of everything bagels. This was at 9:30 AM. He asked what kind I wanted. I reminded him they only have two flavors , so I guess I would take another plain Bagel . Don't know why my first review came up as San Francisco but I live in Lubbock TX which is where this Einstein's was. And yes I did fill out a complaint form on the Einstein's website and no one contacted me back. I'm looking back through all the reviews of this Lubbock location and it baffles my mind why they are still in business. It's not a couple of reviews, it's 2 stars out of 90+ reviews. Food's great if they keep to the hours posted on their doors and Yelp. My son was in the hospital and wanted a bagel from Einstein's but couldn't get anyone to come to the drive through window (sign on the door said drive through only). I went to the drive-in ordering section and waited at least 5 minutes. I could even hear the "beep" notifying someone was at the ordering platform. I pulled up to the window thinking they were busy but saw no one moving around. I decided to take my business elsewhere, but the hardest thing is to break a little boys heart that he wouldn't be able to have a bagel. Everytime I come to this location I end up waiting for about 20 min in the drive thru before anyone asks me what I want, they also put a sign on the door that says drive thru ONLY. But all the lights or turned off and you can't see anyone when they're supposed to be open. The bagel itself was soggy, cold, and contained half an onion slice broken 4 ways- bonus points for the quarter piece of salmon they split to make the bagel. Loved my bagel, but the doors were locked. Like they did not want people to come in. We found one door open and came in. The wait staff did not want us there. As soon as they waited on us they locked the door we came in so no one else could come in and no one could leave. It was like hotel California! It was bazaar!!! Generally quick service. I have experienced slow service a few times but only when they were packed. Their customer service more than makes up for any potential delay in service. I still think it's worth mentioning because if you're in a hurry you might skip a breakfast or lunch here if it looks crowded. The food is great! I love a warm toasted bagel with the perfect amount of cream cheese (schmear). It goes perfect with a gourmet coffee, chai latte, or fresh squeezed orange juice (or simply orange). Although I might pack on the pounds eating here daily it is definitely a temptation. The drive through is convenient. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. It's no secret that Lubbock needs more bagel places, fortunately Einstein's is making a good effort at filling the city's needs. They have a good size crowd in the morning but the lines move quickly and seating is usually not a problem. They offer the standard bagel selection with a few Einstein treats mixed in as well. The staff is helpful and will make good suggestions if you decide to try something new. I would suggest trying to come early, because the more popular choices sell out quickly. However, they can sometimes make a special version of your favorite depending on what is available. For instance, I love the cinnamon bagel (toasted with honey butter) but those sell out quick. They will occasionally try (depending on the crowd?) to make a cinnamon bagel from something else that is left... like a wheat bagel. It's always good and I appreciate the effort. read more

I'm writing this review as I wait impatiently in their drive through. Again. I use this location quite a bit because they're near my office. They get the order right 85% of the time. However, their service is truly the slowest I've ever experienced. I actually consistently time my wait in their drive-through because they're actually consistently slow. Today, there were 3 cars ahead of me. The car at the order board waited 4 minutes, 42 seconds for someone to just take the order (see? Time it) - and this is during COVID time when their dine-in remains closed. I don't know if they simply don't have enough staff or they just don't give a flip about customer service. And this isn't about pandemic customer service - it's been this way for a year. Like someone else mentioned, it's a bagel - how muctime-consuming work can it be??? I finally have my toasted bagel with no schmear in hand after 15 minutes, 4 seconds. As a bonus, I'm late for work. In summary, if you're in a hurry - don't go here. Update 06/02/2020: ordered one Asiago bagel and one 6-cheese bagel (which are a little more expensive than others). Got to work and they gave me two plain bagels. This wasn't even CLOSE.
