Don't expect to come in here and having a seat with a friend to chat over a nice serving of a mango smoothie with tapioca, you can sit anywhere you want just as long as it's outside on one of their benches. It is drive-thru service only and after you order through the drive-thru window you drive around to the other side to collect your order. My mango smoothie with tapioca was a bit on the sweet side but I would blame it on me since I probably forgot to tell them have sugar, but it was still an appropriate drink. The personnel were pretty friendly here, not one of those places where the employees would rather be somewhere else. Run by a lot of younger people, but they had a pretty fair attitude on them for a Friday midday. read more

I saw this place on Instagram and I HAD to give it a try! I pulled up to the drive thru and it took like 15 minutes for the first car to order. They were just sitting there. I don't know if they were trying to figure out what they wanted or if the staff was taking a while. Either way, this was annoying. Everyone was so friendly here! They asked me how my day was with a smile and it is good customer service like that that really makes or breaks a place! It made me happy to visit here. I grabbed a 32oz Cotton Candy Cloud drink and I LOVE it! It was super sweet and full of cotton candy flavor! My boyfriend got a large Sour Watermelon shaved ice and he really enjoy it and the pinwheel ontop! Super cute. I did find a really big piece of plastic in my drink... the hard way. At first I thought it was ice, but when I bit into it, it didn't break. This was incredibly concerning, as I could have swallowed this which isn't too healthy. I'm still debating whether or not I'll be back. I loved the treats, but that large of a piece of plastic is a health hazard and inexcusable. read more

Although I didn't care for the bubble Thai Tea, I'll give it another try with a different flavor. Thai tea is usually strong in its flavor. This was really weak. I was the next to last car in line before closing. For as late and busy as it was the two young ladies were upbeat, courteous, and kept sincere smiles. Absolutely delicious and definitely my favorite boba place in Lubbock! My only complaint is that the hours change a lot, sometimes they are open until 9:00 or 10:00 but the hours are not the same as it says on their front door or on Google. But other than that, 100% recommend. read more

Great place! We went through the drive through. We went here during the virus epidemic and the line for the drive through was insanely long, wrapping around the front of the building. But this location moved fast and made sure to stay calm, professional and kind through the entire process. -My sister ordered the strawberry cheesecake shaved ice cream, my boyfriend ordered the Thai Tea with strawberry bubbles, and I ordered the Thai Tea with mango bubbles. -each drink was loved by every one of us. My sister said "like s*x in my mouth", my boyfriend said "this is good" (which is a big deal) and I thought personally: down right amazing! I loved how the bubbles burst with mango flavor in my mouth and mixes well with the Thai Tea. My sister said her strawberry cheesecake shaved ice tasted mostly like strawberry and not so much cheesecake, but she loved it non-the-less. My mother and step dad were able to share one of the 16 oz strawberry cheesecake shaved ice and also thought highly of it. We are from Austin planning to move to Lubbock to be closer to my grandmother for the time being. My boyfriend and I wanted to come along to help my parents. The menu board was a little confusing for a first-timer and they didn't have the 16 oz. size drink shown on the menu. The drinks were delicious and the bubbles are fun! This is a great place to drive thru, grab a quick smoothie or snow cone and be on your way. My favorite part has to be the amount of different flavors and customizations. It is so rare to find good tasting sugar free flavors and boy Happy's has them in abundance. I will drive way across town for this frozen treat. This is the only place that I know of that you can get bubble tea in Lubbock. I had never been until today when I friend wanted to meet there to catch up. It is a cute little building that used to be a Bahama Bucks off of University really close to Avenue Q. They have a drive thru and a walk up option, no dine in. The workers were having such a great time. Katie was really nice and helpful. I told her I was a first timer. She whisked away to the back and returned with a sample of the tapioca, two different bubble flavors and the coconut jellies. It was a delicious buffet of samples that gave me a really good handle on what I liked and what I needed to order. It isn't everyday a company cares that much about your experience and making sure you get the best thing for your tastes. The service was fast and the product was refreshing and delicious. I ended up getting strawberry tea, iced with pomegranate bubbles. It was so yummy. Perfect for sipping on while enjoying the sunshine outside. Literally the best shaved ice ever! No cap. My first flavor trying was strawberry with a cream add-in (suggested by one of the employees). It was a work of art! I've ventured out and tried different flavors + add ins and I've never been disappointed. The employees are always super nice and give such good suggestions! There's always a line but we never mind because it's worth the wait and the employees handle everything so well and quick. Their customer service is superior- they are always so nice and helpful! I have been more than 20 times now and have never had a bad experience here. There might be a wait sometimes, but it is WELL worth the wait. Happy's is consistent so when you go, you know you're getting the same great drinks and great service every single time. It's very rare to find a business like that these days so Happy's is definitely an absolute gem! My favorite is their iced Thai Tea with tapioca bubbles, it's so creamy and delicious. Tried this place out from my friends living in Lubbock and it's an interesting concept. Drive thru option available and a lot of people utilize it so if you're ordering by walking up like my friends and I did, it might take awhile. I ordered the regular sized half sweet taro milk tea with bubbles and it was over 4 dollars! I'm not used to that price coming from Dallas. I should be getting a large at that price. It was nice that you could adjust the sweetness level and I thought it was cool that they had different flavor bubbles. It took awhile for it to come out because they cater to their drive thru customers first, it makes sense but at the same time, it kind of sucks for the customers willing to park their car and order in person. I think it took more than 30 minutes for all of our drinks to come out. I finished my drink before my friend got hers. There's outdoor seating outside but on cold days, probably not recommended. Another downside? No trash can outside for us to throw our drinks away. I drove home with an empty boba drink to throw it away at home. Not very ideal. But the boba did taste good, so I didn't have complaints there. There's also a nice variety to their drink menu so if you don't want to try boba, you can order smoothies or shaved ice. Would I go there again? If I'm in Lubbock for a really long time and crave for boba, I would because the boba actually tastes good. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more
