Morning Talk Cafe is cute and quaint, with a little kitten kiss. The modern, relaxed decor gives you a nice neighborhood feel. Subtle plant fixtures around the cafe, well-placed menus that are easy to read, and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your beverage and pastries. Morning Talk's beverage menu isn't your everyday average Joe kind of menu. Of course, they have coffee shop classics, but they also offer creative cafe drinks with an asian fusion. Today, I enjoyed trying the Black Tie (a Thai iced tea with a shot of espresso and my choice of coconut milk) and a delicious pumpkin spice crumble cookie. The drink and cookie were a great pair and perfect for a fall day. The owners (staff) are very welcoming and personable. They will cater to your taste buds and lead you to a destination of deliciousness. This cafe is LGBTQ+ friendly. This place is not it. When you walk through the doors, the younger employees give dirty looks and do not greet you upon arrival. They don't listen to your order and are rude. Unfriendly, unpleasant, not worth it. Less than one star. Hire better people. read more

The owners & staff are the sweetest people ever, very quick service, and amazing drinks. My favorite lately has been the strawberry matcha! This place caught my eye because there was a lot of people coming in and out of this establishment. The outdoor dining tables were all filled, so that's a great sign that this place might be worth the visit. The menu prices are high compared to other similar boba shops, but I ordered a rose milk tea with crystal boba with less sugar anyways because I wanted to see what the hubbub was all about. Upon first glance, the rose milk tea has an artificial pink color that didn't exactly appeal to me, but I admit that I did enjoy the drink very much! The rose tea on the top was a beautiful addition and the crystal boba suits the flavor beautifully. I'm not exactly sure if this boba is worth over $7, but I'm glad I tried it. Maybe if I dined in and really got to enjoy the cute decor, I'd appreciate this place more. Friendly, fast service. Overall, cute addition to Conshy, but this place is definitely a splurge. read more

I am a Conshy local and absolutely love to support local businesses. Sadly, I will find it difficult to do so with Morning Talk Cafe. The prices are extremely absurd - $8+ for a latte, $3.50 for a 4oz regular coffee, etc etc. In my opinion this is just offensively high. You can get better coffee for 25% cheaper down the street at Perk or Fiene so unless they adjust their prices at Morning Talk, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Being rather new, this café remains a hidden gem. The ambiance is and the energy is calm unlike other local cafes that feel somewhat frantic; this makes it much more conducive to getting work done if that's your goal. My wife and I visited this gem of a place for the first time this morning. We dine frequently in Conshy but it's a bit far to go for coffee each day. We were so impressed that we decided to go more often. We each had a medium-sized cup of cappuccino which was smooth, rich, and perfectly sweetened. It was difficult to choose which of the numerous, decadent pastries to try, but I settled on the avocado toast and my wife tried the chicken pot pie. I'm not sure if the pot pie was on the menu but since my wife didn't want anything too fattening, it was made special for her! The cafe has three tables, a nice couch, and about three high stools which overlook Fayette Street. The owner/manager of Morning Talk is a wonderful, gracious woman who made sure everything was to our liking. The rest of the staff were also happy, pleasant, and great as well. I was told that we could order off the menu from the next-door menu of Chiang Mai if we wished. What a novel concept! Since the pastry I had was quite filling, having an early lunch would have been too much. But next time? Yes! I highly recommend this rather new shop if you want excellent coffee and great service. Super cute new spot in Conshy. Offers a variety of teas (including popular Thai specialties), pastries and coffee staples. My husband made a few trips since it opened in mid-June, including bringing home an apple pastry and Nutella muffin, which were both delicious. I went for the first time today and the interior is intelligently designed, clean, and a very efficient use of a small space. The mango black tea I ordered was very well done (easy concept but difficult to get right). Good luck - I hope this shop becomes as much of a Conshy fixture as Chiangmai has been these years! read more
