Like the other one-star reviews, I had the same experience. I gave Ray 1,800.00 deposit for the signage on the front of my building, this was in July of 2022, here we are 10 months later and still don't have a sign. He would always tell me he was waiting on the city to respond. I would text him and ask for an update and then we would make a revision to the sign and send back to the city and not answer any of their questions. This has gone round and round. I finally text him two weeks ago "if I don't have a sign next week, I'm canceling the order". His response "Chat Later". haven't heard back from the man since. Clearly, I will never hear from him again, since he has my 1,800.00. He was a very nice guy and had all kinds of stories to tell you, but that is just smoke and mirrors. read more

We brought in a truck and trailer to Ray at Brewer sign & graphics. Ray wanted to redo the design that I had on other trucks, and I am so glad he did! The design was fantastic!! I did have a minor problem with the finished result however, once I contacted Ray, and made him aware, he went above, and FAR beyond, to make sure ALL was absolutely perfect, and that I was happy. I had high hopes with this local business as we got a referral through our Lakewood Village Little League baseball league. It was an easy banner job. I am a graphic designer so I designed the entire banner and all they had to do was print it for us. I sent Ray, the owner, the graphics and expected to get a reply with some type of electronic proof that I can review BEFORE they went to print. I never got one. I had emailed 2 versions and specifically stated I had done some minor fixes to the latest and greatest and told him the specific changes. He never replied back after that last email. Instead, he sent me an email on a Friday and said I could pick it up at any time, in which I did the following Monday. I paid for it and when I got home, I did the inspection and realized that he printed the older version of my graphic file! My ONLY mistake is that I should have inspected it before I paid for it. BIG MISTAKE because now, they have my money and I have no recourse! I usually do inspect my things before paying, but with the manner in which he never sent a proof and I was the one who designed it and it was pretty much bullet proof that whatever he printed would be correct. Except for this case, he printed the older version! I just basically wanted to get my sign and go. I paid and gave the money to this other guy who does computer tech stuff that shares the office space with him. He wasn't even sure how much the banner was. When I got home and looked at the banner, I immediately called Ray that afternoon to tell him that they printed the older version. To make a long story short, he said that he would be able to do a new print for me, but that I would have to come down and review it at the shop. In which I said, there is no need to, because the graphics I sent him was all print-ready. I've worked with many online printing businesses and have never had to step foot inside their shop to review a proof. You can do it all online. I did not see the need for it now, but, I happily said that I would. After that, I did not hear from him to follow up. When he did reply after numerous attempts to get a response from him, he told me that his printer was down and he did not know when it would be back up. What type of response was that from a professional establishment???? He told me over the course of the season that he would let me know when the printer was back up. That was back in February and it is now June 20th. Baseball season is over. I am stuck with a banner that is incomplete and was never remedied. I'll make the most of it, but wish I would have gone with another printer. I will not be using this place again for any of my printing needs. read more

"Don't judge a book by its cover" I don't think I've ever dealt with a proprietor who was as impertinent, disrespectful, arrogant, surly, egotistical and insulting as Ray Brewer of Brewer Sign Studio. He was very presumptuous much to his ultimate detriment. He wrongly assumed I was just a small order customer with no clout or financial backing. Having been recommended to Brewer Sign Studio by a friend and a colleague, I ordered two car magnets with a business logo explaining to Mr. Brewer I am a competitive athlete and this was for one of my sponsors. He is obviously a talented graphic artist, and listening to my directions came up with a design the sponsor was pleased with. While in the studio I asked some basic questions about posters and banners. This should have been a "clue" of future requisitions. He didn't seem focused on me as he was busy bragging about buying two yachts, etc. The magnets were promised by 5:30 p.m. on a Thursday, but when I arrived he told me his wife forgot to pick them up. No apology. On Friday I inquired about them and was told they were not ready, they needed to dry for 24 hours. Due to this, the sponsor missed advertising at two different venues over the weekend. On Monday afternoon I was notified they were ready, but upon arrival was told I need to keep them on a car in the sun for the remainder of the evening. They had bubbles, rising edges, and a fog. I was told all of these would disappear. Not a very polished way of presenting ones product. After sitting in the sun Monday and all day Tuesday, the bubbles remained as did the rising edges. I took them back to Mr. Brewer and asked him if he was truly pleased with sending his product out the door in this condition. He took a look at them and with a gruff demeanor said the bubbles would disappear. I pointed out the rising edges and sections of the edges that had white lines (from not being cut properly). He became very verbally hostile and began boasting about the million dollar contracts he has and how many people he employs. I was amusingly aghast at his response. He was angry with me for the poor workmanship of his establishment. He said he would re-do them without the UV coating he claims he provided for free. I could not be bullied and told him I wanted what I ordered done right. He said they would be ready in a day or two. They were ready within 24 hours, but indeed, all he did was trim the edges. There's still a small portion there is a white line on the edge, and the bubbles remain. If a business does not take pride in their work and conduct itself professionally with a small order, I certainly would not invest in large orders. I may be a "nobody" but to some corporations I am a "somebody" worthy of investing their money in. Unbeknownst to him, I have been sponsored in state, national and international athletic competitions since 1998 including the second largest sporting event in the world. (The sponsor has offices in 28 countries worldwide - talk about million dollar contracts!) I've been an athlete profiled on a segment of a show on the BBC channel, and most recently featured on the History channel. The owner of the logo he was working on is closely associated with an Oscar winner. And I am the owner of a world renowned and possibly largest private collection of scuba equipment, which just had a grand opening of an exhibit in a major museum in the US. I will not use the services of this business, nor recommend my sponsors or anyone else to do so. read more

Ray has a great heart and artistic abilities that can only be found with seasoned years of experience. He is very personable and insightful. Hes made countless signs, banners, business cards and flyers for me over the years. And if hes not too loaded down with work hes not afraid to drop a great deal on you. Brewers been working out of the same shop for several years. He recently completed the graphics on my service vehicle with the art work and everything. One thing i love about Ray is his ability to see where im coming from when i describe the layout of my design plans. He can pick up on a persons sense of style and direction and run with it. My experience with brewer sign and graphics was so phenomenal I had to make a yelp account to review this business. We recently placed an order for over 300 shirts from this business to raise funds for a close family that had lost their daughter in a recent tragic accident. Ray took the time to design the front and the back of the shirts, which he so expertly did without the use of pre-existing templates, creating a turtle motif that ashlee would have adored. The shirts all came out so clean and crisply printed, and considering the circumstances, he even gave us a bit of a price break. The amazing service doesn't end there, however. The fine folks at brewer sign and graphics had called to tell us our shirts were ready and that they had a surprise for us. When we arrived at the shop, they revealed a gorgeous, 5' x 4' heavy-duty canvas banner that matched the shirts we had ordered, to be displayed at her memorial service, with an area for everyone to sign, free of charge!! They went above and beyond to provide one of the sweetest gestures I have ever received from any business. They brought tears of joy and thankfulness to all of our eyes, including Ashlee's family, and I wish I could give more stars! My experience at Brewer Sign & Graphics was fantastic. At my initial consultation Mr. Brewer walked me through the entire process and patiently helped me design the shirt I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with for his 30th birthday. He was very informative and pleasant throughout. I ended up with 24 fun 30th birthday shirts for my boyfriend and his motley crew of friends (we had a huge birthday bash in palm springs). It is sad that I have to give a review much like several others on this page. Although Ray did design a beautiful custom logo, he seemed to be unable to duplicate that logo on the shirts he sold me. When the first shirts came back, the colors were wrong, the material was wrong and no phone number! When I expressed my frustration, he got angry with me yelled at me as if I was to blame and of course I was frustrated and yelled back. I told him I wanted my money back and he refused to refund my money. He told me to take those shirts and use them as rags if I wanted to. he didn't care. First he tried to tell me it was his staff's fault, then he tried to tell me that the colors for the logo that he designed could not be reproduced on the t-shirts! well what the heck was he thinking by designing something that couldn't go on the shirts he sold me? By the way it took over six weeks to even get to this point where I was finally looking at the shirts. He also designed a vehicle wrap for the back glass on my car and two of the side windows. The back glass decal looked great but he made the side window decals too large and they couldn't be placed on the glass. That was the first mistake that he then blamed on his staff. you would think as a business owner he would make sure to proof everything before presenting it to his customers. Hence my frustration. when he refused to refund my money, I asked him to get it right. he said that he would. a week and a half or so later I went to go pick up the next set of shirts and as I was looking at them to inspect whether the corrections had been made, he told me that he was done and wasn't going to do anything else for them for me. I simply took the shirts which were still wrong and left. Although he did switch the shirts to the correct material and lightened one of the colors a little bit that was the only changes he made other than the phone number being put on. Other parts of the design are completely wrong and information that was supposed to go on the shirt is still missing. He didn't want to hear my complaint and I did not want to have him yell at me for mistakes he and his people made. I had already given him $300 and have no intention of giving him anymore since he refuses to correct his mistakes. Later he decided to charge my debit card without my authorization! $137 was owed, he took $200!!! After disputing the charge the guy put the money back. It is illegal to retain your customers credit card information and use it like that. that is only allowed on automatic Bank draft with written authorization. No business owner has the right to charge somebody's credit card at will. After a week, I wanted to make sure that did not happen again, so I cancelled my debit card, only to find out he did it again! $131.66!!! This kind of shenanigans is absolutely ridiculous and should not be conducted by a professional. if somebody wants to get paid for their services, they need to render Services as they were advertised and sold. you do not blame a customer for your own mistakes. What kind of person does that and stays in business? I will not be sending any future business to this company and will recommend to everyone who sees this that they go elsewhere! Take heed of these reviews. as a previous customer stated when you're not spending thousands and thousands of dollars you really aren't very important to him and his service shows how he feels about you. Unauthorized transactions on your credit card says THIEF! Half-assed workmanship and a bad attitude on top of that says SCAM! Great reasons to find somebody else to do your work. since I only got half my order right, I will only pay half the bill. That seems very fair to me. read more

Immediately when I entered the shop I felt comfortable sitting down and chatting with him about what I wanted. I can drag on a long story of my experience with Ray Brewer of Brewer signs...In a nut shell this man still owes me money he said he would refund me for not performing to what he promised me. He now does not respond to my emails of phone call. I paid him in June of 2013 and in July I asked for my money back because of his lack of communication. He agreed to refund my money and now a little over 2 months later I have yet to receive any communication from him. Our last conversation he said he would mail it. Well all I can say be careful with this man. All I wanted to do was part ways with this man and his company respectively with no problems. But obviously this man is not professional and like the other guy said, rips you off. He has my money and I am left with nothing to show for it. Worst customer service I have ever had! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I met with Ray regarding a small sign job and he agreed to do it. He asked for $100 deposit, which was provided to him, and we both agreed the rest of the balance would be paid upon completion of the job. We did not set a specific time for Ray to complete the job, but I was very clear that I needed it compeleted before an on-site inspection which was to take place in the next month and a half. Weeks went by and Ray never called me back. I decided to call and inquire about the status of the job, he said he was really busy and could not get to it. I continued calling because I really needed the job done and he did not answer my phone calls or return my messages. When I finally got a hold of him, he indicated that he refuses to finish the job because I was "calling too much." I asked for my deposit back and he said he would not give it to me. When I tried to ask him when he would be available to complete the project, he hung up the phone while I was mid-sentence. Because of him I am now delayed in my project and I am out $100. I personally think he is running a scam where he takes $100 from people and never does the job. If he didn't have time to do the job, he should have just told me.
