My parents (Mr. & Mrs. Anderson) have an older model F-150 FX4 truck that recently needed major…read morerepairs unexpectedly. We had it towed to Firestone Complete Auto Care on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salen, NC to have it evaluated. The team was very helpful and professional. They diagnosed the issue, gave a very reasonable price, and were able to get the repairs done in one day. Since this is the only car my parents have, it was important that they be able to get the car back as soon as possible. I called and spoke with two different associates at Firestone, and each time I was impressed with the level of customer service. Brendan and Deb are awesome! They ensured all the work done on the truck was done to a high standard. I also greatly appreciate the extra effort they extended to help my parents get the truck back in working order so promptly. If you are ever in a jam with your vehicle, I recommend you take it to Firestone Complete Auto Care. Tell them Kindra R. Speech sent ya!

I've been to this shop a couple of times for state inspection and oil changes. The techs seem to be…read moreresponsible and professional and my cars were consistently finished timely. The techs have never tried to up-sell me services my cars do lot need. That's a big deal for shops like this where the fast oil change is often the loss leader to get you into the shop and sell you more lucrative services. For that reason I warily trust their techs and writers. I hope to find a regular shop for routine maintenance and repairs on my two late-model cars. I am, however, concerned whether they have qualified mechanics to perform that work. I know a little about this industry and they may have good mechanics or they may have only "technicians" given bare and inadequate training. Even if they have credentialed mechanics, do they pay well enough to keep the good ones or do they get the bottom of their tech-school classes? Again, I do not know whether this place has good, experienced mechanics and it might, but I would be careful and selective about agreeing to something other than the most basic maintenance tasks until they earn my trust.

I had gotten an email from the DMV that my inspection and registration were due in November. I also…read morereceived an email from Express Oil Change that my inspection was due. I made an appointment for both an oil change and my inspection for today. After my car was pulled into the bay, one of the employees came and told me that I was too early for my inspection, and that it had recently been changed to 60 days, not 90 days. I informed her that I did not want any service done today, and left. I got curious about the 60 day/90 day thing, so I checked the NC DMV website. It lists 90 days. I also went in like I was going to renew my registration, and the chat bot that comes up asked me if I had an inspection done within the past 90 days. The email from the DMV also specifically listed the 90 days. So that is 3 different verification methods that 90 days is the rule, not 60 days. I called the shop to ask why I was told 60 days, and the guy that answered said he wasn't sure. He told me if I would come back, he would run it himself to see what was going on. I asked if I would get a free oil change out of it, and he said no. I told him I did not plan to come back to his shop. He offered to give me the inspection for free, but I told him that wasn't enough. I informed him I would be writing a review about my experience with the shop, then suddenly I was offered a free oil change. Funny how the threat of a bad review suddenly makes them finally offer good customer service. I told him I would never give his shop my business ever again. As I was typing this, the lady that told me it was 60 days called. She apologized, and said she had mixed up a 60 day deadline for submitting paperwork and the 90 day deadline for the inspection. She offered me a free inspection. I again said no as I had already told the other guy no, and that I was never going to bring my car to their location ever again. Apparently that upset her, as she hung up while I told her that I was glad she got educated today.
