He would have loved trying microbrew in Logan. Wonderful beer and great service and good crowd. From the moment we walked into the building we were met with a disgusting stench that only became stronger as we walked into the tiny and cramped, super loud bar. The outside of the building seems very modern however the inside was old and quite honestly lackluster. It was difficult to find seating which no staff was available to help with. We tried flights to start off with in the hopes of finding a beer we loved to get a pint of however hated every beer we selected which among 4 of us was 12/15 offered. The beers tasted extremely watered down with most of them having a soapy aftertaste. In lieu of ordering the pints as initially anticipated, we decided to save our money, close our tab and head to Walmart to get better, more authentic craft beers. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Absolutely disgusting! read more

Great house made rootbeer and cream soda. We were very confused about the set up. It was a giant building with a tiny bar area and a large outdoor patio. We thought they served food, but it turned out to be a food truck that stopped serving just as we arrived. We were at least happy to get a crowler of Rootbeer to go though. read more

Great atmosphere, decent outdoor seating area with yard games. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even have a history book on the names of each of their beers (all south east Ohio). The beer is good for having only been opened 6 months. They also have cream soda and root beer for the non beer fans. My husband and I stopped in to celebrate our anniversary. The brewery was busy and we were told they had been packed all day (large parties) but we were still greeted promptly. I opted for a flight and cider while the husband grabbed a craft (non-alcholic) rootbeer. My flight was okay, but nothing amazing. I enjoyed the Fruity Tootie (Mixed Berry) but the flavor didn't seem authentic, more flavored versus natural puree etc. Mindy the bartender was friendly and prompt. You could tell, even though she was busy she was good at what she does. My only complaint besides the beer not being the greatest, was the owner. Mindy was swamped with customers (the taproom was packed), washing dishes, getting fires lit, etc. Amy was complaining while helping with dishes about how she was over an hour late for a party and she was happy she brought clothing in the car to change. Talking about how she needs to leave. When the bar is packed, the taproom is standing room only, people are coming in from the outside area because the kegs are empty/being changed, and you have a single bartender you should absolutely be more concerned about the employees working and the customer service of YOUR business than the party you were scheduled to be at. Thankfully Mindy can hold her own and a few of your patrons (regulars) chipped in to clean tables and help light the fires. Despite this, we had a great time and enjoyed chatting with the people who sat at the bar as well - some were locals and some were just passing by. We may stop back in and we may not. Mindy was amazing and the environment was nice. How the owner treats their business just left a bad taste in my mouth along with mediocre beer. read more

I really want to rate this brewery highly because I am not a beer drinker and they have one of the ONLY beers I like. However, despite how often I am there and how many people I have sent there I feel like I have to beg to get the beer I like. Although they sell other beers in growlers, crawlers, etc. The ONLY one I want cannot be purchased that way and the managers/owners WILL NOT budge. You should see the fear in the staff's eyes when you even mention it. It is always "you have to take that up with Amy or Dave"....and their faces scream "good luck with that one". When you call Amy, the claim is there is a shortage of the juice they use to produce the beer. I offered to source that so that I could buy a keg and it is a hard no. Doesn't matter how long I have supported them or how much money I have spent in their location. I am sick of begging to try to purchase their product. If they can't produce it and meet demand, they shouldn't offer it. If they have it, they should sell it in whatever quantity a customer wants to purchase it in. A sale is a sale! Today was the last straw. I highly recommend marking this off the "places to see" list for Hocking Hills. You will find something you like and it will be like pulling teeth to get it. I live in the area and have sent a lot of business that way. From this point forward, Brewery 33 will not be a recommended stop. Nor will I take guests there to show it off as I have...even as recently as this past weekend. Check out the other reviews regarding customer service. This is my favorite brewery in Athens, and they have a lot of great breweries. I love the outdoor space, and the live music in the summer. It's a plus that you can bring your puppies. :) We've been twice, and really enjoyed both visits. If they are looking to expand to Columbus, I'll be the first in line. :) read more

They have a great variety of beverages that they have made themselves including seltzers, beer, wine and nonalcoholic sodas! Staff was very friendly when we stopped in while staying in a cabin nearby and we were able to bring in some supplies to make some sandwiches to enjoy with our drinks! read more

This was my favorite spot to visit in Hocking Hills! Not only did they have amazing beers, they even gave us a private tour of the brew room! They showed us the step-by-step process and answered all the ridiculous questions we had about how beer is made. Once done, they set up a table just for our group outside to enjoy the live music. We've been staying at Hocking Hills State Park and needed supplies. Oh my! This great brewery is located beside a cornfield and less than 2-miles from the Walmart and just around the corner from a very good Mexican restaurant. Our dog was welcome to dine with us in the grassy garden area and the owner brought him a treat - a clean stainless steel water dish was provided in the yard. We took a growler of IPA back to camp with us but the Saison was fab!!!! We'll be back next week! read more

Was so excited to check out Brewery 33! Hurray for Mingo Mango. There were lots of other great options there to try (and I loved the option of a flight to try out multiple drafts). The Blueberry Lemonade cocktail beer was sweet and refreshing as well. The staff was extremely nice as were the other customers. I forgot to take pictures though because I was too busy talking to everyone, getting a history lesson, and looking at the various items for sale. A great place to go! read more

Wow! Great local brew in the beautiful Hocking Hills. 14 taps with everything from Gose, IPA, to Saison's. Food trucks on site around 4pm, light snacks like nuts and chips at the bar. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Really enjoyed having a flight and trying a variety of flavor a including a kiwi strawberry brew and a tropical gose. read more

Today was our first visit to Brewery 33. We were hiking in Hocking Hills with our dogs and stumbled upon this place after planning to go to Hocking Hills Winery. We each had a flight and were not disappointed. The Gateway Gose and Iles IPA were both tasty. My favorite part was the large, grassy, shaded patio. Our dogs had a great time roaming around and the set up was complete with doggie water bowls and waste bags. The dogs were also greeted with treats from the bartender when we first arrived. This is a great place!! Wonderful selection of beers. A beer for every taste. The bartender was fantastic and she has family that works at the winery. We met nice patrons there. Good places attract good people! The bartender at Multiple Brewing in Nelsonville (home of the delicious Pumpkin Milkshake IPA) told us to come here. He said the owners were good people who supported fellow brewers. I don't know the owners, but I can tell you they had a unique selection and I did not have anything I didn't like, and several I loved. The folks next to us had food delivered in 15 mins. with no delivery charge and they were happy with what they got. The perfect place to day drink. Cheers! read more

Great little brewery in the Hocking Hills area. Decent selection of beers although I felt they could have had a little more variety (many beers sounded to have similar tastes.) We visited in the winter but it looks like their outdoor area would be really fun when the weather is nice. There were lights and picnic tables and a corn hole set. The bartender was very friendly (and so were the owners cats that were walking around) and the service was great although it wasn't very busy when we went so I cannot comment on how it is when it's more crowded. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a local beer in the area. read more

This is the place to be if you're looking for great micro brew beer. The beer has German roots which provides a great base for their recipes. If you like real beer you're going to like this place. No kitchen, but the hungry buffalo delivers for free so you can get bar food quickly. It's a small intimate atmosphere. Beer lovers make this a stop on your trip. read more

My fiancé and I stopped here last Saturday on our way from Athens to Hocking Hills. We had time to kill before we would be able to check into our cabin so we thought this was a perfect pit stop. Especially because I called ahead and they allowed us to bring our dog in who was with us even in the dead of winter! We didn't have anything else to do with her and they welcomed us and our pup with warm smiles and open arms (not really due to COVID haha). The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the beer was super tasty. They had a band coming in later that day and we were sad we couldn't stay but we had some hiking planned and had to get going. I actually ended up accidentally leaving my purse there (I would lose my head if it wasn't attached) and when I called them panicking after we had already gotten all the way home, the woman I spoke with on the phone (I think her name was Amy?) politely offered to mail it to me. She sent me the confirmation of mailing it just hours later and absolutely refused payment from me for her kind deed. I cannot thank her or any of the staff for keeping my purse safe enough. Great treasure of a watering hole! The staff was fantastic and the variety of brews offers something for everyone. Pet and children friendly with an relaxed adult vibe. Literally sat there for a hot moment and the "bartender" only seemed to not care we were there. Straight up left. So sad because we planned to come there and drove all the way out there and just ended up disappointed. The only "person" that greeted us was the darn cat. Never coming back. I just left this place. Disgusted is the least best word to describe what we went threw. Arriving there after a day at the lake my friends a and wanted to get a bit to eat. We walked with our dog and sat outside. At first the waitress came and got us drink. She must have realized my friends were gay and the rest of the time ignored us. I went us to the bar with a total of 3 people waited my time more people came up and the same waitress waited on everyone but me. Fast forward to finally getting a drink and bringing it outside we are sitting there that same waitress went to EVERY table but ours to check on them. This establishment is disgusting. We work and live in the city and have great jobs. We don't judge people based on sexual preference or race and today the first time leaving the city some small minded person has me upset because she can't understand anything outside of her views. It's so upsetting you let someone work here and project their views and beliefs. I will never go back to this place and I am purchasing a place on the lake. I hope you talk to your employees and tell them this is a place Of business and you sever every customer with respect. I am truly disgusted by your employee. read more

Great stop for interesting brew. Looks like an office building on the outside, but the brewery is easy to find as soon as you enter the building. The tasting room has many offerings ranging in taste and potency. They even have non alcohol offerings for the DD. A flight of four tastes will set you back $7.00 and a glass can be purchased in 12 or 16 ounce sizes. Food trucks rotate through and bagged snacks of nuts and chips are available anytime. Servers are friendly and the place is spotless. When you go to the restroom, sneak a peek of the brew works through the windowed area. read more

Stopped in from out of town. Service was awful. One of the owners waited on us and was abrasive and short - was not personable. Had a flight and 2 of the pours were only half full. My friends 16oz beers were barely that. Beer was mediocre at best. I work for a brewery and know how important it is to have great customber service.
