This dynamic is welcomed to most people because they get to socialize and buy more then just fresh fruits and veggies. The only thing I am critical about is the organization of the booth space that allows the flow of people in better safety and comfort. I assume there was some store front push back that wanted 100% of there sidewalk available and clear surfing the market but what that has done has jammed too many people in what is obviously a "narrow space" to walk. It would be a fair and SAFE compromise to use 50% of the sidewalks on each side and adjust back the venders booths giving people 5 feet more in the middle to walk around. It would be easier to do this rather then assume or ask people to not stand around creating bottlenecks or be considerate of others and move like a car on a road. Expect to drive around for parking if you are not local enough to walk to the event and crowding due to the popular area it is in, live music, fresh foods and drinks as well as plenty of unique crafts and clothing.

I feel like a lot of booths were from palm desert, so not necessarily local businesses from encinitas, and i felt like there were not a lot of arts n crafts n stuff like i was expecting. There werent a lot of food options, but luckily the food we had was great! I have to drive like 1.5-2 hours to get here so I probably wouldnt come again. It was a gorgeous day and fun to do once.

Grab a gyro, Greek coffee and a box of pastries. They have an awesome book store, along with face painting and events for the children. Really nice Greek dancing that they perform as well. Will be coming back again next year The pricing of everything is not insane at all, the food is decently priced, a long with the items at their bookstore. Really enjoy this event. $4 to get in at the door, but active duty, veterans and a few other special titles will get you in for free.

We'd usually go to the Brazilian Independence Day that was held in PB and this would fall on the same exact weekend. This Greek family fun festival is held for two days at the Orthodox Church campus. It's right next to MCC San Elijo and the college opens part of is parking lot during this event. It's fun to run into our Greek friends, eat gyros, drink authentic refreshments, take Photo Booth selfies, and shop with the vendors. You get to hear authentic music and you can even get a lesson on their dance moves. They have a stage and entire area for the dances and entertainment. At the end of our visit we got Greek coffee and some desserts to have there and some to bring home for later. I'm a sucker for the almond cookies and the baklava was good too! ONLY reason for one star to be missing is that they ran out of some key things that we wanted to have. It is understandable because this event brought in a pretty big crowd. It's a very nice event and I'm grateful they had more seating areas than previous times. OPA!

First off, one thing I loved about this event was that it was on grass, so less likely for dogs' paws to burn. They also had tons of tent-like overhangs set up for shade for people and pets, and random chairs set up underneath the shade spots. There were food and drink vendors set up for humans, dog bowls of water all over the place, and tons of vendors selling dog leashes, harnesses, dog clothing, beds, vitamins, and so much more! They even had vendors for dog photographers! I would definitely recommend coming if your dog likes meeting other dogs, and if you like buying things for your pet. :)

Lots of fun pet related vendors such as Canidae, Dirty Dogs, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, It's the Pits Rescue, and our very own Yelp where you can get your picture taken with your pooch. They also had some discount vets, yummy food vendors (hello bacon hot dogs) and a beer garden sponsored by Lost Abbey. They have an agility course where you can test out your dogs skills and also a big tank for those dogs who love to dive in the water. Every breed of dog imaginable and tons of food and treat samples to be had. I'm in the middle of trying to switch my dogs food as she is very picky and the samples were a great way to find out what dog food my dog would actually eat without spending a fortune and wasting food. I also scored some discount Comfortis which I was needing to buy. The vet did a free quick exam and I was able to buy Comfortis at a incredible discounted rate. Over $7.00 off per pill!!!! Also saved me the cost of a $50.00 vet visit just to score flea meds. If anything the trip to this festival was worth it for that alone. Parking can be a little tough but we managed to find close parking both times. We left at noon and went home for a bit and decided to return a few hours later. That's how much fun we had and our dog had. So keep your eyes peeled for next years Cardiff Dog Days of Summer. You don't want to miss out.

It was one of the most beautiful venues we toured, though there were some limitations regarding event spaces and accessibility. There were two primary areas capable of accommodating our guest count of 150: the Lawn Garden and the Dickinson Family Education Conservatory. I preferred the ceremony setup at the Conservatory, while the Lawn Garden offered a more appealing space for cocktail hour. However, the Lawn Garden is entirely outdoors, so couples should have a weather contingency plan. The amphitheater adjacent to the Conservatory felt relatively plain and undersized compared to the lush surroundings. Both venues were conveniently located near parking lots and restrooms, though the restrooms themselves resembled standard public facilities. The garden grounds were expansive and quite hilly. The Lawn Garden parking area required navigating a significant incline that could be difficult for some guests. While a shuttle service exists, we were informed it is volunteer operated and unavailable for private events. Venue rentals included ceremony chairs and cocktail hour belly bar tables. Most other services and rentals must be booked through approved vendors. During our tour, we explored many of the garden's attractions and found it to be highly family friendly, though less accommodating for elderly guests or those with mobility concerns. Children would love the children's garden, streams, and treehouse areas. Meanwhile, sections such as the Rainforest Garden and New Zealand Garden featured steep pathways that may be challenging to navigate. My favorite areas were the Walled Garden and the dancing topiaries, where flowers were sculpted into whimsical musicians and dancers. We also attended the Orchid Showcase inside the Conservatory, which featured an impressive collection of orchids. The volunteers were exceptionally knowledgeable and eager to share information beyond what was available on the website, adding a great deal to the experience. The gift shop was an underrated highlight. I picked up a pressed flower magnet where each one featured a unique arrangement. Ultimately, the venue felt a bit too small for our wedding, but it remained one of our top contenders. For couples who value greenery and natural beauty, this would be an incredible choice for a smaller guest count. Just be aware that much of the planning, design, and personalization will fall on the couple.

I took my Mom who I learned my gawking skills from and we had an excellent time walking and gawking at all of the amazingly designed lighting exhibits. It is very dark in the area say take time to slow down and watch for the entrance and parking signs and people. There were quite a few parking attendants around to point people toward spots and away from full lots. We went the day after Thanksgiving and it was full but it didn't take us long to find a parking spot. There were signs and the attendants also pointed everyone in the direction to the entrance. At the front, security checked bags and scanned tickets and ushered people into the park. Guides at the front suggested a route which included following the arrows lighted along the routes through the garden. It was so gorgeous! People were quite respectful of others trying to get photos of displays and couple and group photos. At one location I became the honorary photographer after helping out a few people. We walked around and posed and all for over three hours. It was a well spent wholesome family evening. You're killing it, SD Botanic Garden!
