Brewhaus was absolute fire. I got the sampler so I could try a bit of everything and have to say the pretzel and kraut balls are so worth it. I'm going to try and duplicate the kraut balls they were that good. As for food the snitzel and potato cakes

Great German beer on tap here- weihenstephan hefe. Friendly, small bar. Nice outdoor area- just too hot for me today. . We had some beer indoors and enjoyed it. Would love to come back to eat- solid menu with some German food, salads and sandwiches. Chloe was our server- friendly, helpful and fast. She's the best! Would definitely recommend coming here.

a friend and i came a few weeks ago to try it out since we always went for mediterranean or japanese style cuisines. the exterior is very unassuming and the inside appears clean. our server was a bit standoffish but was nice. he was also tending to the bar several feet away so i can't blame him for his absence the majority of our meal. my friend got the Bavarian Pretzel and the Honey Bacon Deviled Eggs (not pictured). the pretzel was the best part of the entire experience, it was so soft and salty and pairing it with pimento cheese was delicious! the deviled eggs had a mix of different mustards (according to the chef that came out) and it gave such a complex flavor that i didn't particularly care for them. the variety of meats i got in the platter weren't bad either. we also got one of their seasonal bread puddings that i can't quite recall the name of it - but it had apples and not much else going for it. the sauerkraut was the most disappointing - very watery and bland. i would likely only come back for the Bavarian Pretzel but i am really glad i finally stopped by to try it out.

My family loves German food and we have high standards. Brewhaus was delicious! We had schnitzel, spaetzle, red cabbage, the hamburger and a pretzel for starters. The pretzel was really good along with the mustards and pimento cheese, a must get! The schnitzel (with mushroom gravy), spaetzle and red cabbage were all fantastic! The burger (my son ordered) was really good as well. It was char-grilled and the meat was very good. If you like German food and the vibes of a small town hangout this is right up your alley!

We decided to try to go on a Saturday evening and we were pleasantly surprised with being able to walk right in and sit on the outside deck. We were met with glasses of water and menus. We chose the Brewhaus sampler, adding pimento cheese and it was scrumptious. The kraut balls were a standout but really that's just by a bit because it was all delicious. We washed it all down with some draft cider and hefe beers. All in all, a wonderful Saturday evening on the Northshore.

    Sampler Appetizer

Returned after a first visit two years ago. Still great, though this visit caught me not too long after a late lunch, so we didn't order a main. We got the appetizer sampler and four sides and shared it all. Pretzel is the star of the show. Don't bother with the pimento cheese add-on. It was melty in a weird way and warm. Kraut balls were good. The brat sliders were brat sliders. Nothing special. As before: the slaw and the cabbage were excellent. Grilled squash and zucchini were good also. The potato pancakes gave "flat tater tot" vibes. Atmosphere is nice, staff were great.

This is a great place in Chattanooga to have a beer and a pretzel. The view was amazing and the service was fantastic. We sat there for a few hours.

Had may dog and needed pet friendly option . Nice patio - Biergarten. Servers were friendly and brought us a water bowl. My daughter had a chicken pecan salad sandwich. She liked lit and left none behind. Fries were potato nuggets . I ate some of her's . Nicely done. I had a spicy brat with kraut and cider mustard. My side was spaetzle . Would come back. Small parking lot but public log just down the street .

Gasthause Tirol is an authentic German and Austrian restaurant. One look at the menu confirms it. Known for traditional German dishes like schnitzel, bratwurst, strudel and an actual Bier Garten with a nice selection of German beers on tap After perusing all the delicious looking menu items I went the Sample Plate. A Trio of tasty meats. Winer Schnitzel, Sauerbraten and Debrezina sausage some veggies and potato dumplings. What a tasty meal and the gravy was exceptional. The tall cold and very smooth Hacker Pschorr Dunkel was a delicious dark beer to complement the meal. All the desserts are homemade and I couldn't decide between the Apple Strudel and the mysterious Black Forest cake. The sever said the Black Forest was her favorite so I went with it. It surpassed all expectations. So moist and the whip cream was just heavenly. I was there for lunch but they do take reservations which is highly recommended for peak times.

Unfortunately, the service has consistently been incredibly SLOW, and this last visit was unacceptable. The restaurant wasn't busy at all--we were the first guests to arrive. In fact, I purposely planned it that way because I know the service is usually slow. We timed everything because it was so noticeable. It took about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Then another 5-10 minutes just to receive our drinks. Our server took our order and then completely disappeared. About 30 minutes later, she brought our sandwiches. She asked if we needed anything else, and then disappeared again. We finished eating in about 15-20 minutes, and after that, we waited another 40-45 minutes before she came back. From the moment she dropped off our food until we finally saw her again, it had been about 45-50 minutes. During that entire time, she never checked on us once. We had planned to order dessert, but by the time she returned, we couldn't wait any longer. We had to ask for a to-go box and the check because we were already running late. Looking around the restaurant, we weren't the only frustrated customers. One gentleman nearby was visibly upset as well. For three sandwiches, our meal took almost two hours. That's just crazy. It's simply not reasonable. It's disappointing because the food is excellent, but the service has become such a recurring issue that it's making us question whether we'll come back. A restaurant this small should be be able to provide a much better dining experience. I honestly can't think of a good explanation unless the server was also hosting, cooking, preparing to-go orders, or doing multiple jobs at once. I don't know what was happening behind the scenes, but something clearly isn't working, and they need to figure it out. The food deserves better service than this. My only advice is you're gonna go and have lunch there make sure you have at least a two to three hours

However, upon entry there are several tables, small and large, as well as a few tables on an outdoor patio. We chose to sit on the patio and were quickly seated by the hostess. At another table, another couple was about to leave; the waitress said that she looked forward to seeing them again next week, always a good sign for the quality of the restaurant. Our server was also quick to stop by and shared the draft options, including Weihenstephan Hefeweizen! I have not yet seen this beer on draft outside of Germany, and needless to say it was excellent. Before ordering, we also received a basket of breads, very tasty. We both ordered schnitzels (he the Bavarian, I the Berlin) and we split the sides of red cabbage, sauerkraut, kaesespaezle and pan fried potatoes. The Berlin was crispy, well done, and topped with apples and onions that were a good addition for the flavor. The mushroom sauce on the Bavarian was also quite nice and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the sides and can recommend them all. To finish, we had the Nutella cheesecake, a generous slice that was of a smooth consistency and full of flavor. Overall, as can be guessed we were very happy to stop by. The food was very good, service prompt, drinks always filled, and portions plentiful. It was a highlight of our trip and I would definitely enjoy it again.

We visited on a Wednesday evening, and that common area was packed. From what I understand, it's not uncommon for the common area to be hopping with families enjoying the food, drink, and fresh air. You can work up quite a thirst watching all the mayhem. An occasional casual pint is just what the doctor would order if she were with us. Instead, we had a couple of occupational therapists, and they said, "Why stop at one?" I like that prescription. You can choose from a variety of exotic IPA's and even something that tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It really does. That wasn't my cup of tea, so I got a much more tame Mexican style lager. Very refreshing. The PB&J was ingested by the more adventurous of the two O.T's. She couldn't finish it, though. Maybe she has a peanut allergy? Of course, I had no problem finishing my lager. I rarely do. Quick Tip: The Inside of the Pint is upbeat, clean, and friendly. The bartender is quick with a sample if you're vacillating between one brew or another. He'll continue until you hit on just the right glass of suds. Careful, though, or you may get wasted on the hos d'oeuvres before you get to the main course!
